Frame Drop at start of each cut at 30fps... not 24 fps Pls.  Help!!

I'm editing my daughter's wedding video that was shot by a friend with a high end Panasonic camera.. input file is DVCPRO HD 720p60 with a 23.98 frame speed.
I have a 2..33GHZ Core2 Dual 3G mem Laptop Pro running Mac OSX 10.60.2 with an internal Hitachi 500G HD - HFS, and a Lacie 1TB external HD.
FCP, Academic, V 6.06.
All the sequences play great when running on the timeline. When I export to NTSC or HD at 30fps, the resulting .mov file that is made gives me one or two black frames at the beginning of each and every cut. The rest of the cut looks great and plays accurately. I've tried exporting to three different HFs with the same results. When I export to either HD or NTSC at 23.98 fps, all the transitions work well.
Can I export to a higher frame rate without the black frames at the beginning of each cut? I believe that the higher frame rate will give me a smoother viewing experience....Y/N?
Please advise me of the settings, etc. that are required to achieve 30fps in either reg.def. or HD.
Thanks for listening, Den

If you shot 23.98, then that is what you have. You cannot make that smoother, as there are no frames to add. if you wanted smoother video, you should have shoot 29.97 or 59.94. There is no easy way to make this 24fps into smooth video-like motion. Unless you get one of those new HDTVs that do this with DVDs internally. HORRID! Makes films, shot on film, look like VIDEO! Horrible...absolutely horrible.

  • Basic invisible button movie clip frame actions not working, pls. help!

    Hi,
I've got a basic little slide show player which is timeline-based, rolling through 5 images with alpha transitions, and on the topmost layer, I have 5 invisible movie clips which have actions applied to them as follows:
    on (press) {
        gotoAndPlay(21);
This action should allow for the on click button to navigate to that specific frame, or image, but for some reason it is not working.
Did I do something wrong? I feel like I've done this before but I'm rusty with Flash since I don't use it all the time.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Sean

The invisible movie clip is something I know I've done over the years on many occasions - I'm not sure I'm understanding your alternate technique, can you explain it better? The way my movie clips are invisible is just by setting the alpha to zero in the properties for the movie clip instance (clicking on the object on stage, then setting it in properties)..
Also, the actions are on the invisible movie clips (buttons) and not the timeline.
    Cheers,Sean

  • When I start my computer my dock will not show up. help!!!!

When I start my computer only the galaxy screen shot comes up. My dock won't appear or anything else. Just an empty screen.
I have been able to get onto safari because my screen saver will eventually appear and because it's on shuffle sometimes the apple screen saver that says facts and new releases about apple products usually writes, to learn more press 3. one day I pressed 3 and it took me to safari.
I was able to discover all my pictures and music is still intact but I only know that because I look at screen savers and one of the options is shuffle pictures and so I knew my pictures were on my hard drive.
I just can't pull them up, or my itunes because i have no dock.
Help!!!! This happened one day when I was watching a dvd on a plane. I had it on pause then all of a sudden my computer just went blank.
I already bought a new macbook pro but would really love for this computer to be fixed. I will take it in if I have to but through reading other discussions think I may be able to do it.
I have seen the "killall dock" command suggested but am seriously computer illiterate and have NO idea how to do that.
    please help!
    Thanks!!!!

You would need to open your utilities folder and click on and open "terminal", type that command without the quotes and hit the enter/return key.

  • 4209 Frames Dropped - 2 minutes of preview

I'm pretty sure I didn't used to have this problem, just playing back video in the program window, but now suddenly, it seems PP6 can't playback HD video in the program window / preview.  Don't even bother trying to scrub through the video, that's a disaster.
So, to comply with the guidelines, here is everything I know about the situation.  I'm even happy to post the raw footage if you think it would help.
What version of Premiere Pro? 6.02
Have you installed the recent updates? Yes, the updater indicates no updates available
What operating system? Mac OSX v10.8.3
What type of computer? Macbook Pro Retina, 2.6GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 Ram
What type of video card? NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
    Hard drive? Solid State Drive
    What kind(s) of source footage?
    File Path: <SNIP>/AVCHD/BDMV/STREAM/00043.MTS
    Type: MPEG Movie
    File Size: 1.3 GB
    Image Size: 1920 x 1080
    Frame Rate: 29.97
Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - compressed - Stereo
Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo
    Total Duration: 00:08:03:00
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0
Project / Sequence type: I made the sequence by taking the footage and dragging it to new sequence, so the sequence would be the exact type of the source footage.  The footage is of panning horizontally of a lake with mountains in the background.  It has audio, but I don't play it back.
If you are getting error message(s), what is the full text of the error message(s)? Of the 8 minutes of source video, I took a 2 minute 20 second cut.  Put it into the sequence by itself, no effects, no zooming, NO alterations of any kind.  Put the marker at the beginning and let it play in the program window at full resolution.  I got 4209 frames dropped in those 2.5 minutes
What were you doing when the problem occurred? Nothing else was running, it was after a fresh reboot, only started PP6.  Just playing back the video at regular speed with no alterations.
Has this ever worked before? I've edited HD video before, about 3 months ago, I didn't seem to recall this issue.
What other software are you running?  Little snitch network monitor, and a CPU monitor
Do you have any third-party effects or codecs installed? No
Tell us about your computer hardware. Be especially certain to tell us about third-party I/O hardware (e.g., AJA, Matrox, Blackmagic, MOTU). See above, it's a MacBook Pro, so I can't really add anything to it.
Are you using Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration?  Yes.  I have turned off the "enable graphics switching" in the power section.  I have tried all 3, software, CUDA and OpenCL, usually leaving it on CUDA.
CUDA Drivers? CUDA Driver Version: 5.0.59, no newer update is available
    GPU Driver Version? 8.10.44  304.10.65f03
Does the problem only happen with your final output, with previews, or both? Previews, I haven't bothered to try to render it out.  I'm still trying to edit the project together.
    What else?
Sometimes I get an all RED screen in place of the footage in the program view
I notice that one core is indicated to go FULL red / usage just before and during frame drops, the other 7 cores are green / unused
This happens the most with resolution set to FULL, but also occurs in 1/2 and 1/4 resolution.
Scrubbing through the video is useless
The audio (when I do have it enabled) never drops

    Warning:
To those of you who have been struggling with the AVHCD bug and waiting for months to a year to use Adobe Premiere to its full potential...   If you don't already know...
Adobe CC introduced another major bug!
I have been following threads about the AVHCD bug for months so I felt an obligation to inform the community members I have suffered alongside.
I am also trying to inform you because Adobe won't.  Yet again, they are disastrously failing to inform customers of avoidable problems.
If you upgraded to Premiere CC to fix the AVHCD problem, you could be out of the frying pan and into the fire like I was.
The new bug is described in this thread.  http://forums.adobe.com/message/5490602#5490602
    Bug Overview:
After saving multicam edits, and reopening a project, multicam edits may loose their link to the location in a clip.  The result is that every angle switch restarts at the beginning of a clip.  Many of us have lost hours of work like this.  The problem may ocurr at any point and ruin work performed prior upon saving and re-opening.
There is a work around described on the thread above to prevent the problem from occurring, but once it does, a project is lost and can only revert to a backup.
I hope this spares some of you the trouble and loss of being struck by the second bug in a row like I was.
I also hope to enlist the help of some of you who would like to join me in demanding that Adobe communicate more openly with their customers.
Again, many people have also been hurt by Adobe's failure to inform customers of a huge problem that they knew about prior to the release of Premiere CC.
Like the AVHCD bug, so many of us could have been spared weeks to months of lost wages and clients if Adobe simply informed Premiere users that there were some issues with the update.  As people could have stayed with CS5 for a while to avoid the AVHCD bug, users on this thread could have stayed with CS6 for a while until the Multicam bug was fixed, if they needed that feature.
On that thread, I posted the request I quoted below.  Please join us in demanding greater responsibility for communication from Adobe.
please join me in making a feature request:
That Adobe add notifications about important software issues, updates and work-arounds...
to the start pages of applications
and to the Application manager (so that users may make informed decisions about weather or not an update may introduce issues into their workflows prior to installing.)
If they can use those platforms to provide tips and adds, they should also be effective for informing their customers.
Feature requests can be entered at the link below and are prioritized by the number of requests for a certain feature.

  • Transitions double 1st frame/drop last frame: a solution

I have found that Transitions in iMovie 5 are problematic. The first frame in a Transition doubles and the last frame drops out. This is not noticeable in a slideshow but can be very noticeable in an exported video.
Transitions cannot be edited frame by frame unless one exports video out to a camera and then imports it back into iMovie. The original clips and transitions are now seamless clips. One can delete extra frames and then find and import the missing frames from original sources. HOWEVER, this process is incredibly frustrating and time consuming.
THIS IS WHERE THINGS GET INTERESTING.
To avoid the above, I thought I would add textless Titles over a few key clips and transitions where the glitching is most obvious. I had noticed that Titles longer than the clip they were inserted into, merge together the clip with its transition and following clip.
    i.e.,
    1. DEselect 'Over black' in the titles window.
    2. Select a title format and then a length longer than the 'glitched' transition.
    3. Split the clip so that the Title can be inserted.
    4. Insert a TEXTLESS Title that spands the clip, transition and into the next clip.
    5. Then edit out duplicate frames and insert missing frames from the the now 'single' clip.
STILL just a piecemeal. STILL labour intensive.
THIS IS WHERE IT GETS MORE INTERESTING.
I tested this on a couple of clips and, LO AND BEHOLD, 'Title-merging' a clip with its transition and following clip results in the duplicated first frame of the transition DISAPPEARING and the previously dropped frame of the transition, REAPPEARING. A fix.
One could blanket a video with long textless Titles (i.e., 45 seconds at a time with Rolling Credits) to fix the transition glitches.
I know that this is not a great solution, but it does allow me to export video with the quality I need.
Is there a better solution? (I find it ironic that years later, iMovie 2.1.2 is still, for me, the most successful of all the iMovie applications.)

the duplicated and dropped frames move to the beginning and end of the added short (4 seconds, for example) texless title. Using a longer title (10 seconds, for example) fixed also this.
if I understand your original reply correctly, it is important that the blanket transition ends in the middle of a clip and not a transition.
In my tests I used a blanket title (did you invent this descriptive word?!) that spans some of the previous clip (I split it 1-2 seconds before the transition so I could add the blanket title), the transition and some (1-2 seconds) of the next clip.
If it ends in a transition, the transition plays and then the ORIGINAL clip plays, duplicating the first part of the clip.
I didn't quite follow. I just tried this with a 30 frame transition. Then I added a 1:15 blanket title 1:00 before the transition (so the blanket title ended in the middle of the transition). Result: The first frame of the blanket titles was duplicated and the last frame of the blanket title was dropped. Otherwise it played as expected.
shift select the clips to establish a total length of the video clips and them add a title that ends just inside the last clip.
Yes, I did just that to measure how long a title was needed. In my tests it seemed that it was important that the blanket title wasn't very short (<4 seconds) because then the problem frames were just moved to affect the title. Using a longer blanket title (10 seconds) seemed to fix the problem for both the transition AND the blanket title.
<div class="jive-quote">With a textless title blanketing an entire video, my COMPRESSION TIME to Quicktime is incredibly shortened (1/3 to 1/2 the time).
That's interesting. I've noticed that simple projects (i.e. not much cuts) export faster than real time to Full Quality .dv. But complex projects take MUCH longer to export as .dv. AFAIR this didn't matter in iMovie 1-4. Maybe the blanket title simplifies the relevant parts of the project?
[sigh] I wish we didn't need to be aware of the plethora of obscure gotchas and workarounds like this. I don't expect there to be an iMovie HD 5 update anymore. I guess some bugs will be fixed and some brand new bugs will be introduced in v6.
The same thing happened with iMovie 4 bugs. ...So this time I thought to quickly gather AND report all iMovie 5 bugs to Apple so they could quickly fix them during the first months. ...but it seems that the iLife team just isn't granted enough resources to fix them. Many known old bugs are again just described in the knowledgebase articles.

  • How do i show time/date stamp at start of each clip

This may be a camera issue, not imovie, not sure. My (sony dcr-hc21) camera records but doesn't show time/date at start of each clip (my old non-digital camcorder used to show them for a few seconds). is there a way to get imovie to show these time stamps? I'm using imovie 3.0.3.
    emac   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

    Hi r
There are no stright forward - cost free way to get this to my knowledg.
    - I think You can buy a plug-in for this. (Not sure)
    - A quality redusing way is to copy from camera via analog cable to a
VHS-VCR then reimport to a fresh miniDV tape and using this. If You
just want some sec. with date and time You can cut between old and
new material but the quality change will be more noticable this way.
    - Some people has two miniDV cameras and do an analog connection
    via them. Smart.

  • Frame-Dropping Issue.

Hello, this is my first post, and I have a Frame-Dropping issue.
I am making a video on FCP and during playback, when I reach the end of the video (there is still audio in the background), it says there are some dropped frames. I tried switching from Safe RT to Unlimited RT and back again... many times. But when I start the playback from a second or two from the end of the video, it works fine. Can someone help me?
    Many thanks in advance.

    #12 Dropped frames on capture/playback
Shane's Stock Answer #12: Dropped frames on capture/playback
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58640
    1) Do not capture to your main system drive. Since it is busy reading the operating system and application files, it will intermittently drop frames during capture. Capture to a separate internal drive, or external hard drive (firewire and eSATA for example).
    2) Deactivate any anti-virus/filesaver software, including Norton and Virex. For some reason these programs think that the large files created when you capture media are in fact caused by some sort of virus, and they try to prevent this.
    3) Check the format of the drive you are capturing to. It should be Mac OS Extended, journaling off. If it isn't, copy your files from it and re-initialize it. If it is any other format, you will encounter problems. If not at first, then eventually.
    4) Trash the FCP preference files. Use FCP Rescue available here:
    http://www.fcprescue.com
    5) Make sure that the hard drives you are capturing to are fast enough to handle the footage being captured to it. A regular firewire 400 drive cannot capture uncompressed HD, or even uncompressed standard definition. A RAID array of drives might be in order for these formats.

  • Frames Dropping when Editing back to tape

I just updated my Final Cut Studio to 5.1.4. I am running this program on 2.0 GHz G5 Power Mac. I have fibre from the G5 to the server. I am trying to Edit to tape and this edit stop because it had dropped one or more frames. I am at OS 10.4.9
    The error message:
    Aborted ETT/PTV – Dropped Frames
Because one or more frames dropped during Edit To Tape or Print To Video, this operation was aborted.
    If this occurs frequently, try
    - Turning off Unlimited RT
    - Lowering your compression data rate.
    - Closing open sequences.
    - Lowering the preferences for real-time audio tracks.
    - Increasing the speed of your system and/or disk drives and/or network connection.
RT Extreme has determined these dropped frames were caused by slow disk. Please try:
    - Increasing to speed of your disks
    - Decreasing the number of RT lies.
    - Limiting your RT bandwidth in User Preferences.
I tried all the fixes stated above and the problem is not fixed.
    Please Help
    Thanks

Check the settings playback settings in the Timeline window to make sure they are all set to be high quality... sounds like the playback/render quality doesn't match the recording quality so when you ask to edit to tape, it is attempting a total re render.

  • How frame drop test is executed using PQA in TestStand ?

Can someone shed some light on the frame drop test which is executed using PQA in TestStand ? Also, what is the use of reference stream and trigger in the frame drop test ?
According to the manual, the Dropped Frame processor computes the difference in pixels between consecutive frames. So, in this scenario, how does the processor compare the framedrop of the test stream with reference stream (if any).
    Thanks

    Hello Enigma123
The Dropped Frames processor returns a metric that is the average of the absolute difference between each pixel in a frame compared to its following frame.  Depending on scene transitions or a known video playback performance, you can use this processor to determine if you are missing frames.  For example, imagine two 3x3 images
    2 2 2           1 1 1
    2 2 2     &    1 1 1
    2 2 2           1 1 1
The average difference between these frames is 1.  A media reference stream is not used with this processor when it runs.  However, and I always recommend doing this for unreferenced tests, a data reference can be created from a reference stream to compare with future tests results. The data reference is a calcuated set of metrics that corresponds with a given PQA acquisition/processes or a set thereof.
Here is the process I would take for unreferenced tests.
Take a reference video that you know plays back properly.
Set that you wish to create a data reference, acquire that video/audio stream and perform and activate the desired processors.
Now, select that you would like to use that data reference for future acquisitions.
Perform new acquisitions using the same processors and observe the new results stream
You will see your results stream now centred at zero according to the following calculation  (Test Results - Reference Results) / Reference Results  [Relative Difference]
If you see any major deviations, this is a probably cause for a concern, in our case, for dropped frames

  • Frames dropping upon conversion to .m4v

    Hi guys!
I've scoured the discussions for help on this, but I've come up empty. I'm trying to convert some (what seems to be) HD content for viewing on Apple TV, and the resulting .mp4 or .m4v will always drop frames. The original material (in full disclosure, the free, legal downloads of "Star Trek - New Voyages" http://www.startreknewvoyages.com/) is a .mov:
    H.264, 720 x 480 (853 x 480)
    2349.09 kbits/s
    29.97 fps
When I use QTPro to convert to Apple TV, it looks great but plays jerky. The settings on the m4v:
    H.264, 853 x 480
    2827.98 kbits/s
    29.97 fps
When I try to convert to MPEG-4 ISMA, under "compatibilty", it will give me the message, "image data rate too high for MPEG-4 video simple profile level 1". Any other fiddling I do with the settings results in varying quality, files sizes and aspect ratios -- but all with jerky playback.
It seems like it's a simple answer, and I'm out of ideas. Any thoughts you guys have would be great!
    Thanks!

I am having a similar problem. I used QT Pro to convert an HD movie trailer (for "WALL-E") to watch on my Apple TV, and the resulting movie file only contained every other frame. I tried converting both the 1080 clip and the 720 clip, and stepping through each file showed that every frame was doubled up, effectively making the clip look like they're mastered at 12 fps.
I got the clips from here:
    http://bvim-qt.vitalstream.com/WallE/Vignettes/WallEVacuum1080.mov
    http://bvim-qt.vitalstream.com/WallE/Vignettes/WallEVacuum720.mov
These clips are very high bitrates, so I understand the need for conversion, but I'm hoping that frame dropping is not part of Quicktime's scheme for lowering the bitrate for Apple TV!

  • Help!  Frames Dropped During Live Capture

I am trying to switch over to Adobe Premiere from Final Cut Pro, but am having a serious problem with frames being dropped during capture.  When I do have frames dropped, it doesn't even save the video that it was capturing.  All that I get is a corrupt file that won't open.
I'm using a Mac Pro with 3.0Ghz Dual Core Xeon Processor, 9GB 667MHz RAM, and a BlackMagic Decklink SDI card, and am trying to capture 720p 59.94fps video over SDI.  I am capturing to an interal 1TB 7200RPM dedicated scratch disk that is not used for ANTYHING but live capture.  The OS is 10.6.8.
I only have 3 capture options in Premiere using the Blackmagic card: 8-bit, 10-bit or DVCHDPRO.  I want to use 8-bit, because DVCHDPRO is 960x720 instead of 1280x720.  But, I have tried DVCHDPRO and it did not work either.  I can successfully capture video for 5-10 minutes, but then I always get the Warning that frames were dropped and Premiere fails to save the video properly so that it can be opened.
I have used BlackMagic's speed test app and determined that my internal hard drive's data rate is plenty sufficient for both 8-bit and DVCHDPRO.
Final Cut Pro 6 has always captured perfectly fine using this exact setup.  It even gives me a lot more capture options for the BlackMagic card - I'm not sure why I'm limited to only those 3 capture settings in Premiere.
I would really appreciate some help to point me in the right direction to get this resolve.  Thanks!

    Randal,
It might be a bit tough on a fast computer, especially if the BIOS are not set to show POST at boot-up, a common setting nowadays. As Steve says, the exact key will differ by your BIOS brand.
You may not actually see the particular logo screen, that Steve is talking about. I'd do a cold-boot and immediately tap the ESC key. If this does not get you into your BIOS Setup, then repeat, but tap the F1 key. When I say "immediately," I mean immediately upon hitting the Power On button.
With older computers, you had about 5 sec. to get into Setup, but not anymore. On my laptop, I still have trouble hitting the F8 key fast enough to boot Windows into Safe Mode. I miss it, more than I get it. Could also be that I've been away from gaming for too many decades, and my gunfighter reflexes ain't what they used to be, but I'll just blame it on faster computers. I have the same problem with trying to flush my Preferences in Adobe programs, gotta' hit the Shift-Ctrl-Alt key at precisely the right time. [Exact key combo does differ with some Adobe programs]
Also, if you can give us the name of your BIOS, say "Award," we might be able to give the exact key to hit for Setup. If you have the MoBo manual, it will be in there, plus the correct key. You still have to be quick, however.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Newbie has constant frame drops slowing capturing

I don't even know IMovieHD, so don't ask me why I bought FCEHD 3.5
Having said that dislaimer, I finally figured out how to capture footage from the HD tape off my FX1 HD videocam. However after starting up and using the capture window, it only records 2-5 seconds, then stops, says a frame dropped, then I have to press capture all over again....and basically I would die of natural causes before it ever captured the four 60 minute tapes I need to import into a new prject.
I had no problems capturing all the footage in iMovieHD without stopping for anything other than changing tapes in the camera.
There's gotta be some user group in Los Angeles area where newbies mingle with others so I could ask bonehead question withotu the entire planet knowing I'm a FCE moron.
But any ideas on resolving this dropped frame thing that is making capturing footage of decent length more or less impossible?

The settings are the defualt setting on FCE 3.5 with the exception that stop upon frame drop is now deselted, and the camera is just hooked up via the firewire to the back of the CPU...there aren't any settings on the videocam related to transferring the tape as far as I know....
I am going to get a 300 Gig Seagate Barracuda internal SATA drive that has a 16mb cache. Hopefully there aren't issues installing it internally on my Mac. They look like they are about $160 including the connector. I will use that as my scratch drive then and see if the frame drop stops. Funny how that doesn't happen in iMovieHd though...
At least now thanks to you guys the videocapture progress doesn't stop upon frame drop due to deselecting stop upon drop.

  • Rotation lag/frame drop in built-in apps

rotation in the default apps is HORRIBLE. Laggy and frame drops were the norm. Especially the App Store, where the animation took over half a sec to start and very jittery during the animation. third party apps seems fine for some reason. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

    Hi DX
My modem is not rebooting by itself. Are you downloading a lot putting the modem in heavy use? If so that might be the reason why it is rebooting as the cable modem telstra provides have a small NAT table, which causes the modem to reboot when the table is filled up in heavy use.
I think my problem lies either on the copper wire itself or the modem. It has been raining in Melbourne these few days so I  have a strong feeling the rain damamged the copper wire

  • White flash frame at chapter start

    Hello,
I have a Mac G5 with FCP HD 5.0.4. It came with iDVD 4.0.1. I wonder if you can help me with my problem.
When I create an iDVD project, I get a brief freeze, then a white flash frame at the start of every chapter (scene selection). Same for "play movie" (the automatic chapter 1).
I found advice online pertaining to the same problem with iMovie and iDVD - so I thought I would give it a shot with FCP. I export my FCP sequence (best quality QT movie) without chapter markers. Then I import the single file into a new FCP project, add chapter markers and export it again - to drop into my iDVD project. But no change. Still the white flash frames.
I have iMovie 4.0.1 - but it only does short movies. My project is about 60 minutes.
Do I need to upgrade to iLIfe, DVD Studio Pro, iMovie HD?
    Thanks,
    Mikado1

    Hi Sue,
    Thanks for this.
Two problems. First, I don't have iMovie HD - I have iMovie 4.0.1.
I tried your idea (with a short clip). I exported QT movie from FCP HD (best quality, no chapters) into iMovie. Then I exported the no chapter QT movie iMovie to desktop. Then I imported the QT movie to an iMovie new project, added chapters and created an iDVD project from iMovie.
Same problem. I never get to the burning stage. The "freeze then flash frame" problem at the beginning of all chapters is in the preview.
My iMovie 4.0.1 doesn't accept my 60m film (too long) - so I'll need another solution anyway.
I tried reinstalling iDVD 4.0.1 - but still the same problem.
At this point I'm willing to upgrade to something else. Sounds like I'm better off with iDVD vs DVD Studio Pro, given my current knowledge. I shouldn't need iMovie HD, if I have FCP HD already?
By the way, the QT movie export of my project plays fine with QT player.
    Thanks so much,
    Mikado1
