I've just upgraded my system to 10.4 and all bad things suddently happened...

any specific issue addressed by updating OS would lead to frame drop?

And then trashed your FCP preferences files, and repaired permissions.

When I first activated iCloud keychain on my stuff (MacBook Pro, iPod and 2 iPads) it was working great and the all logged in to a wifi network that I had only used the password for on the MacBook. But yesterday the others all started asking for the password again (which I unfortunately don't remember and the friend who had it has recentlly had a stroke and also cannot remember it). I've tried turning iCloud keychain off and then back on again, but to no avail. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
What probally currputed is the battery, all type of devices do this when the battery gose out. and when it only lights up when pulged in that a sign of a bad battery. click here for support on a replacment battery. Hey dose maybe this page or this page will help.

Could you help me with an app situation? We purchased several codes for Splashtop to install on our iPad 2's. It was working great but now that we upgraded the OS they have disappeared. The codes that we purchased are giving us an error that they have already been used. So far it has only been 2 iPads.
Any solutions?The compiler is highlighting the areas you got wrong, although the error messages are somewhat confusing.
Error 1: NSLog is a function and needs to be called as such, see e.g. the circleArea call on the line above. Functions are called using the function-name with its arguments in paratheses e.g. foo(12, 13).
Error 2: looks like a typo, defining a function is done as function-name(... <arguments> ...) { ... <body> ...}. In your code there is a ";" between the arguments and the body that should not be there, you probably copy pasted it from the forward declaration at the top of the source codde file. -
Airport express base station a1264 was working great.

I have airport express base station a1264 and it was working great. Updated to Maverick and the utility now is 6.3.2. It seems now itunes drops occassionally.
I only want this AX to be a remote Stereo connection for my itunes. NO INTERNET
Connection goes as follows: Mac Mini Wifi to AX ---> Toslink to Cambridge Magic Dac100 to RCA to Pre-AMp. All was great for a couple of years.
Now it drops - annoyingly so!
I tried to update the firmware and then tried to re-configure but I can't seem to get it to ignore INTERNET connection.
It seems to work - but the MAC MINI has the exclamation over the WIFI icon - says no internet connection - which I don't want. Why is it looking for internet. I set up a new network and set the SSID as STEREO WIFI which itunes will connect to....
Do I care about the exclmation point? Never saw it - ...

I just changed i Pads and i cloud was working great on all the devices I had it on including my PC now it just keeps asking me to verify my password and I know I have not made a mistake and I don't have ICloud on any of the devices at present help!!!!!

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.

I dl'd Firefox 4 on wide release Tuesday. It was working just fine on all news sites I use. Then, I tried to use my Netflix streaming. Netflix alerted me FF4 needed to run in 32-bit mode due to its movie player plug-in. I hit the Netflix restart in 32-bit button, FF4 crashed. I've since re-dl'd FF4 and loaded it into the Apps folder on my MacPro(Mac OS 1.6.7/2.66 Quad-core/2 GB RAM/256MB GPU). It still won't open and I have to "Force Quit". Several "Reports" have been sent to Apple but, I don't think Apple is the problem. As it now stands, I can only run last version of FF on my MacPro.
I also have a MacBook(Mac OS 10.6.7/2.16 C2D/1 GB RAM/64 MB GPU) and I am able to have 2 versions of FF on that Mac. I even have the newest version labeled as Firefox4, so as to distinguish between the 2 for the purpose of using FF4 for everything but Netflix. So, what happened? What's the difference? Why won't FF4 run on my MacPro anymore?If this were just a Netflix problem, why can I access Netflix through Internet Explorer and not through Firefox? I've been using Firefox to access Netflix for at least the past year and starting yesterday (12/6/11) Firefox doesn't seem to recognize that Netflix exists. I've tried the suggested Firefox "help" which was of no help whatsoever and may even have made life more difficult in accessing other accounts. Anyone know how to contact Netflix or Firefox by phone?

Java currently not working, but was working previously. Change occurs around updates.
I need Java to upload info to a GoDaddy website. Java was working in January, then did not work. It worked again after an update, then stopped working about the time of another Firefox update. Currently, Java is not working, but I am able to upload thru Internet Explorer. I seem to have the latest Java for Firefox installed, it is enabled so I am at a lost. Did an update not install properly? I am really at a lost since success and failure seem to be tied to Firefox updates.

At any rate your issue is a problem with the site in question. "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: PChatPanel" means that resources the program needs cannot be found. This is a problem with that site and you will have to address it with them in order to resolve it. Nobody else can help you with this because it is a site problem and beyond our control. -

I have problems to get my Laser Jet 5L running properly under 10.5.8. I prints the first page/document and then it says1,36 % printed than printing but nothing happens. Under 10.4.11 everything works fine, sometimes I have to get the print jobs running again,but then it works.
I have the Laser Jet 5L connected via USB to parallel.
I am running a PowerBook G4 1,67 GHz and 2 GByte RAM.

Imac doesn't recognize external monitor but was working
i had my HP monitor (HP 2011x) connected to my imac for about three months and when i went to move my monitors and imac to clean my desk, my imac no longer recognizes the monitor. all i did was shift the monitors to the left w/out unplugging any cables.
i've seen multiple threads about the same issue where the external monitor is no longer recognized and the majority of no solutions.
has anyone come up with a solution to this?
i restarted in safe mode to try and connect - no joy
i cleared the pram - no joy
any ideas?

i went to the apple store this afternoon and verified my thunderbolt to hdmi was working and sure enough it was. i talked to two staff members there and they were equally as clueless why the external monitor is not being recognized via the cable. -
Lightening to 30 pin adapter not working, but was working before

Well I was wrong it's got nothing to do with software or a problem with the iPhone 5S, it's the adapter hardware.
I went to the Cribbs Causeway store and was able to replicate the error message on the demo iPhones plugging in the adapter i purchased. So I was given a replacement, tried that with same result on my 5s and the demo phones. Then tried another taken off the shelf just like the previous one and voila it worked. It turns out based on the comments of the guy who served me, that they had seen a few instances of this issue.
I had already logged a case with Apple and they are sending me another cable FOC they are going to try to establish the batches of these adapters that have this problem as they suspect a manufacturing problem
SO, if you have this issue with a recently purchased adapater just take it back to the Apple Store and ask for a replacement. -
