FrameMaker Automation without GUI displayed

Hi All,
I have the FrameMaker.Automation.# setup to run and process document information. I want to be able to continue doing so without framemaker popping up the gui. In other words, is there a way to set the GUI to be not visible during processing time? I have looked through the FDK docs, and I seem to be unable to find a switch for this.
Any ideas?

I've setup automated .exe and .msi installs for a while now but I've recently run into a program that doesn't have any switches or additional input that can run in command prompt.
My question is if there is any software that can do add this functionaly and automate GUI installations

In SWNC_COLLECTOR_GET_AGGREGATES, cnt00x (x =1,2,3... 9) gives me the proportion of transaction steps with a response time between 0s and the upper limit of the individual response time categories (includes GUI time), broken down by task type. But where is the data without GUI time store? any ideas?

ST03 for my instance before I have executed something on it, no dialog task type:
here I have connected to the instance through SM51, still no dialog task type:
and here I have connected directly through SAP Logon to this instance, now my actions on the instance are displayed as dialog task type:
If your users connect through RFC to the instance, then all their actions are RFC task type actions. As soon as a user logons directly to the instance, dialog task type will appear in ST03.

I just brought Macbook pro(without retina display) on 15 june 2013 and since then put it on 6-7 hours of charging but still my macbook pro is not 100% charged. but why? (green light is displayed on the adapter pin)

i just brought Macbook pro(without retina display) on 15 june 2013 and when i switched it on the battery was 72 % charged and now the battery is charged to 62%, i used the charger that came with it and kept it for 6-7 hours on charging but it is not charged to 100% but why? also the green light is always on when i plug the charger with my mac book pro.Please tell me the meaning of Green light on power cord lid (mac book pro not charging or charging?) and also the other light if there like amber or any other colour.

Congratulations on your new MacBook Pro! Thank you for providing all the information about what is going on with the charging issue.
Firstly, I found some information on page 11 of the MacBook Pro User Guide about what each color of the LED means on the Power Adapter:
When you first connect your power adapter to your MacBook Pro, an indicator light on the
MagSafe connector starts to glow. An amber light indicates the battery is charging. A green light indicates that the battery is fully charged.

It sounds like you are not getting the amber light indicating your computer is charging, and you are noticing that the battery level is depleting. I recommend resetting your System Management Controller when something like this is occurring:
Resetting the SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own
Note: Portable computers that have a battery you should not remove on your own include MacBook Pro (Early 2009) and later, all models of MacBook Air, and MacBook (Late 2009).
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

HT201263 I have restored my iPad (first generation without retina display) and it finishes restoring software but will not stay on for me to restore the data and then shuts off whenever I try to turn it on. I don't believe that it is charging! HELP!

Long story about what happened but basically I was using the iPad (first generation without retina display) to watch TV at one point it had 20% battery so I plugged it in then it wasn't charging and I didn't realize so it got to 5% and shut off. I plugged it in to charge it but it just kept shutting down and showing the apple logo, then briefly showing me my home screen before shutting off again. I waited a while to see if it would charge, while it continued to turn off and on by itself. Finally, I unplugged it to see if it had gotten any charge but it just told me to plug it in again. I plugged it into a different charger, same thing. I decided to try connecting it to a computer and it stopped turning on but it did not seem to charge. I tried restoring it as it said in the article. It worked until it got to restoring the iPad from the backup that I had because it immediately shutdown before I could continue. I tried to restore it a second time but still it shut down! I'm so frusturated and I cannot afford to get a new iPad, I need it for school and there is no Apple store for 80 miles nor do I have any insurance or warranty on it! (Obviously considering it's the first iPad to ever come out.) I really don't know what to do! HELP

Compressing a large PDF document using command line or Java code without GUI operations

I have a programatically generated very large PDF file with lots of tables and cells in it. The size of the file is few MBs. Using Adobe pro, I am able to reduce the size of the PDF in KBs. I want to achive it either through a command line or using Java API without GUI interaction.
I am using JDK1.6.

As far as I know, Acrobat does not have command line operation

Using PowerMac G4 without any display

Hi!
I have PowerMac G4 867/QS whith 17" Apple Studio Display (ADC). It is very noisy, so It are sitting in my closet , and I manage them from my main iMac using ARD.
Can I disconnect Apple Studio Display and run PowerMac without any display?

I'm trying restart the PowerMac (monitor is disconnected) from ARD , but it shuts down! Then I press the Power button, PowerMac start up and ARD restore the connection, but the ARD Desktop window is now no more than 800x600 !

Run iPhoto slideshow on 2nd display without 1st display going black?

Hi there,
I can't seem to find a clear answer on this one. I have just connected a 2nd display to my mac mini via the thunderbolt connection. When I put iPhoto 11 onto the 2nd display desktop and run a slideshow it plays on the 2nd screen but my 1st screen goes black, which isnt ideal as I want to be able to carry on working on my 1st screen.
Is iPhoto 11 able to run a slideshow on a 2nd display without 1st display going black? If not, is there a way around this by using other software?
I have the 2nd display set up in extended mode not mirror.
I am running OSX 10.9.2.

There may well be, but it's not possible with Aperture either.
Alternatives to iPhoto's slideshow include:
iMovie is on every Mac sold.

It's difficult to compare these apps. They have differences in capability - some are driven off templates. some aren't. Some have a wider variety of transitions. Others will have excellent audio controls. It's worth checking them out to see what meets your needs. However, there is no doubt that Final Cut Pro X is the most capable app of them all. You get what you pay for.

Load image data into array collection without ever displaying it

I am starting with a String that is a path to a local file. I
need to add that image (png) to an array collection without ever
displaying it on screen. What would be the most direct process to
get it into the type BitmapData.

actually load into memory so it is available without displaying it

Hi Jed,
In AIR, you can simply use FileStream's readBytes() call to
read the contents of the image file into a bytearray. Now when you
want to display the image, simply use Loader.loadBytes().
Once the loadBytes() call completes, you will be able to get
bitmap data. Till then it would be in JPG/PNG/GIF format.

I need to reinstall my OS without a display

I have a new iMac and will be selling my G5. Rather stupidly I sold my cinema display first, so have nothing to view the G5 in. I've wiped the drive clean using a Firewire 800 in to the iMac. I have the originall install disks, and have inserted the first one and started up, holding down 'C'. As I can't see what's going on, will this have reinstalled the system, or are there things I need to do with the keyboard to make it happen.
Also, I upgraded to Leopard at some point and have the disc. Will I just need to send this with the machine, or is it possible also to install that without my display?

Thanks very much folks. I think I'll just sell it with the discs. Do you know if I can also give the new owner my Leopard disc (startup discs are Tiger) even though I registered it?
Simply because just selling it with your data on there is just stupidity (take no offense) This can lead to various problems in the future especially as this economy goes to **** in a handbasket. I would put it in a nother Mac and reformat it, or simply sell the Mac without an HD unless of course, you use Target Disk Mode to reformat it

A retina display is a high resolution display. The name comes from the fact that the pixel density of the display is higher that your eyes retina can resolve at normal reading distance.
The retina display has four times as many pixels as the non retina display.
As has been stated, the iPad 3, the iPad 4, and the iPad Air all have the retina display.

Running a desktop without a display?

I just read the following article about the Blue and White Power G3:

And I’m wondering how bad it is to run a Blue and White G3 as a server without a display and an adapter.

I've never had a B&W, but lusred after them!
I really think that article is really meant to address the fact that some Macs just wouldn't boot without seeing a Monitor ^ resolution, which the adapter faked, I see no problem if yours boots without it.

Installing .exe software - Automation without switches and only GUI

Almost all installs can be run with a /q or /s if this one cannot, maybe there is a specific business installer that will do this.
What is the application and how are you trying to install it - is it a GPO, Script, batch file, as a user, pushed as an administrator?
