Freaking OUT!! I have a desktop (IMac) and my IPhoto library is gone! Events gone, albums gone, faces gone!!! I can't even find the folder for IPhoto Library under Pictures under my hardrive. I have no idea how long it's been this way!

Ok so here's what has happened. I got on the Mac to open IPhoto. It opened, but no files PERIOD! No albums, events, photos, faces. They were all empty. I had TONS of albums and photos. I have no clue how long it's been this way, probably a couple of weeks since I've been on it. Ac couple of things come to mind that might have caused or had something to do with...IPhone 4 had to be restored and a back-up and upgrade occurred. Also, I deleted files off my camera while connected. Not sure the culprit, but VERY UPSET! I have never set up Time Machine and have no other back up. I downloaded and purchased File Salvage but I have to get an external hard drive before it will do it. I put the application install CD in last night thinking that if I reinstalled it would help but then I got scared and shut Mac down half way through. I couldn't even find the file IPhoto Library. When I open IPhoto it say IPhoto 9 but when I "get more info" it says IPhoto 8.1.2 or something like that. Please HELP!!

Try an All Images Search:
In the Finder:
Command - f
Kind: Images
Size: Greater than 300kb (This is to avoid all the thumbnails, icons and so on.)
Set it to search the Mac.
As to why? The most likely answer is user error, I'm afriad. It does point up the importantce of always having a back up.

OSX = Finder > Applications > iPhoto. Double click the app to open it.
The icon (alias) will then be back on the dock. Right click the Icon > Keep in Dock.
Icons dragged off the dock vanish in a puff of smoke.. they are only aliases (shortcuts)

However, my troubleshooting issue is that I also want the songs in my concert playlists to go in order of how they were performed at the concerts.
Give them a track number.
Each time I number them within the playlists the song's number also changes within the Library Music list.
And? I'm not seeing the problem.
However, I can not figure out how to make true copy. I've already tried dragging the song to my desktop, then dragging the new copy back into iTunes. I've even tried renaming the duplicate copy and dragging it into iTunes. Why won't my iTunes make an individual duplicate copy of a song?
How do you have iTunes manage your music? If you drag a song to the desktop it may just be moving the file to the desktop.
Command+R to reveal the file in Finder. Command+D to duplicate the file in Finder. Drag the duplicate to iTunes to add the second copy. Not that I totally understand where the issues lie and feel this is likely not the best remedy...

Are you able to print the webpage to 'Adobe PDF' to convert it to pdf.
Which Browser version, OS version and Acrobat version are you using?

HT5569 My iPhone 4s was connected perfectly to my WIFI in the house two days ago. Now it can't even find the WIFI. Any ideas how to fix it?

My iPhone keeps dropping off the WIFI at home and nowit won't even pick up any networks. I tried connecting it to my laptop to restore the phone but it won't let me as the find my iPhone feature is on and it needs WIFI to switch it off!! When I try to find the WIFI, the phone seems to freeze nd then the settings app switches itself off. This is now getting annoying as my laptop has no problem connecting and my router is in an open position. How can I fix this?

I tried to activate my wife's iPhone this evening and after being put on hold for 20mins and going through the rountine of asking for my iPhone cell number and serial, I had to stop the tech guy from going further. Only after telling him that I couldn't complete the registration process that he mentioned the authentication servers being down....until Monday!!!
I'm Apple Certified and checked the support site before calling. You would think that Apple would put something up stating the issue instead of having 100's if not 1000's of people calling with the same issue. You would think that ATT and Apple would've learn from the first time around on this issues.

Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Does the iPod see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iPod connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

Every single extension I have is broken. Uninstalling and re-installing doesn't work either. They say they'll be updated when Firefox is restarted, but I can't even open the preferences for each plug-in.

I've tried uninstalling and then re-installing one of the extensions (Stumbleupon) but to no avail. Do I need to be re-installing Firefox here?

This can happen if one of the files that stores details on installed extensions is corrupt. To fix that see the section on corrupt extension files in the [[Unable to install add-ons]] article.

How do I go back to the previous version. I can't even find the back button. I don't like the new style. It may be more secure but it's not easier to use.

I don't like the new toolbars or task bars or address bars or whatever you call them. In fact I refused to update my other computer because of the confusion the new version has caused me. I don't like the new location of the home button, I don't like having to click on the tab then go to a drop down menu to reload the tab (more clicks). And I really don't like the dark color of the top portion of the screen, it's really hard on my eyes. I don't like the blurry portion of my desktop showing through, it's confusing.

HT4061 I can't use my ipad mini. All buttons are frozen including the on and off, can't even find the serial number, can't see it on the back, can't find it under settings because no buttons will work. Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

My ipad mini is frozen and won't allow me to use any buttons. I can't access settings to get the serial number for Apple Support and I can't read the serial number from the back. It's too small and shadowy. There is a message that reads "ICloud Backup--This ipad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Back ups happen when this ipad is plugged in,locked, and connected to Wi-Fi."
It won't allow me to shut if off using the on and off button. I stuck a paper clip into the tiny reset button, but nothing happens.

This is the most common "fix" when devices are behaving strangely. It only takes a minute and there's no risk of lost data. This is the reason you'll see this fix being suggested so often.

Since you didn't include any pertinent info such as the Mac model and OS version you are running, here is some general information:
Mac OS X: Gray screen appears during startup
Depending on which OS yours came with originally - and which OS you are now running - you would either need your original install disks - you can call Apple for replacements by giving them your serial number. Or you may be able to reinstall the OS by using recovery (again, depends on which model/which OS).
