Free app to search contacts by multiple fields, then dial/send the desired found contact?
I've got a few thousand contacts. Some I know the company name (organization) or street or city, etc.. I found one app called Contact Finder that searches effectively, but doesn't allow you to do anything once you've found what you're looking for.
Only have to do this once....
1. Open Google search
2. Click left menu button
3. Select Search Settings
4. Uncheck all except Contacts and Voice Search (This give faster search results)
Search this way will work now...
Pressing and holding menu button on the home page and start typing the name of company or person name.

On your iPad tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. Or on your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should also be a payment link.

How do I delete a credit card from my iTunes account without adding another one? My friend bought an app with her credit card and I no longer have the info but every time I try to download a free app (ex: Instagram, Twitter, vine etc.) it ask for the credit cards security code. You normally need to provide some sort of payment method (in part as proof of residence in the country) before you can get even the free apps. It is possible to set up a new iTunes Store account just for free apps, but you have to create a new Apple ID; you cannot use an existing one. If you want to do that, take a look here:

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note again that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free content without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

I bought my Whatsapp from a friend's account, because my account buys only free apps. Thing is, if I updated my iPhone to the new iOS 5, will I lose Whatsapp?!
When installing iOS 5, the iPhone is backed up first (which does not include any iTunes content including 3rd party apps) followed by being completely erased before iOS 5 is installed. This is followed by the backup being restored and all iTunes content in your iTunes library that is selected to be transferred to your iPhone being re-transferred.
If the app is in your iTunes library, you shouldn't lose it, but since this app was downloaded with your friend's iTunes account, I'm not sure how the app wll be re-transferred unless your computer is also authorized with your friend's iTunes account with iTunes.

My iPhone3GS running iOS5 has recently been reluctant to upgrade Apps. The App store asks for my password and then marks all the Apps as being updated. Often only one or none actually update. Usually I get a message saying "Unable to download application" and "<app> could not be downloaded at this time - Done or Retry".
It's not an iTunes login / password issue because sometimes one or two of the Apps will download and the others stall with the blank progress bar. The internet connection is working fine in all other respects.

I cant update my Facebook or BOA app because a random email address appears & then it requires the PW
Delete those apps and re-download them using your Apple ID.

normally if anyone buys an apple product with a specific model (mac) , it comes with a built-in-apps that should be considered ( built in ) , Then why when the mac faces a mistake or an error that forces it to format , these apps don't show up ? etc : iMovie , garageband ...
considered it should be '' BUILT IN APPS '' ??
So does it really make sense that i should buy these apps again after i already payed an extra amount of money in the first place to get a model that includes them ??
after formatting my mac these apps should be there like its a whole new device that i opened !!!

How can I create a search plugin for multiple fields
There are a number of sites that have search capabilities but they require entries into multiple fields.
One such site is for instance the IBM Employee directory.

On this site - in order to get usable results - I have to enter both First name and Last name of the employee I'm looking for.
I created a search plugin for the site, however I wasn't able to split the entered text into two parts and provide them as separate fields for the form.
Is there a way to do this?

This is excellent. Not search-plugin though but but this is as good as a search-plugin. (Even better, as I haven't seen any solution with the plugins for the problem.)
I didn't know that it was possible to use javascript as bookmark location.

I do really need help guys. Using ASPVBScript on Dreamweaver CS3
It’s all about search and results page.
Search Form
This form contains 6 list/menus:
Ref, New_resale, Town, Type_English, Bedrooms, Bathrooms.
In all of them I have an option “All”, the idea is if you choose “All” the results page displays all the records of the DB. I don’t know how to do this.
The way I have it now is if you choose from the list/menus data matching the data on the DB it will display it on the results page with no problem.
Example of what I need the "All" for.
I choose “All” from Ref list/menu.
Then if I choose matching data from DB for the rest of list/menus. The desire result should be the results page displaying all the records matching all list/menu data exept Ref. Basically is searching the DB for matching data independently of Ref if you choose “All” from the list/menu.

JohnnyThe best method would be to construct the SQL statement dynamically, removing conditions from the WHERE clause if value 'ALL' is contained in the form field. You'll need to compare each form field value and then append the WHERE clause accordingly. Of course, you will need to have reasonable SQL and VBScript skills to accomplish this.
Also, I see you table name has a space in it. Tables and column names should never contain spaces - it leads to problems. -

Purchase an iTunes card. Then use iTunes on your computer to attach the iTunes card to the account.

Formatted Search screen - populate multiple fields
I have an Employee Id field in my screen.
On clicking Choose button,I use a Formatted Search screen to populate value to that field.
I also have other fields like employee Name,department which should be populated, once an employee Id is chosen from Formatted Search screen.
The functionality is like that of "Purchase Order screen".
Once a vendor Id is chosen Name,Contact Person etc get populated in "Purchase Order screen".
How do I do that?
Should I trap the Choose button event of Formatted Search screen?
Please help.I think all you are missing is a check to make sure you don't try and re-run the lookup when you are validating the return value from a previous lookup.
I made a minor change to my code and achieved the behaviour you described. I have extracted the relevant code from the application . Unfortunately it looses its indentation when I post it, so it might be quite hard to read. It uses recordsets for the validation as in practice most of the real validation is more complex than this cut-down sample.
This particular example is from a screen with a Customer Code prompt, and displays the customers name below it.
