Sorry, no way around this limitation on an iOS device. To use a new iCloud account, you need to create such on a computer first, then setup the account on your iOS device.

Upon activation of my ipod touch 4 last year, i have several errors encountered in creating my apple ID account. As I remember, I have created 3 accounts without verifications. Today, I was about to create another one because I will be using my activated apple account on my iphone, my device prompted me that I already exceeded creation Free apple Id account on my device (ipod). The link that rmgman gave has instructions for how to create an account without giving credit card details - if you use them when creating an account then you will be able to download items from the store without having to give card details. -
My i-phone 5s is not charging because of Sunken pins where the socket is plugged. If you are within 14 days of purchase you can still return the iPhone and get the phone that suits your needs, however, I think you will find that no matter which phone you get the content provider will want to know how you are going to pay for future purchases. For Android phones it is Google, and they will certainly want to know.

Open iTunes and navigate to the app store. Select a free app to download. A simple way to do this is to scroll down to the top free apps box on the right hand side, hover your mouse over the first item and click on the free button that appears when you hover over it.
A pop up will open asking you to sign in with your Apple ID click "create new account", click continue to create your account. Check the box to accept the store terms and conditions and click continue.
Enter your email address, password, security question, and date of birth, click continue. Now, you will be asked to provide a payment method. Note now that the last option says "none". -

If you're logged in here...you are...you already have an Apple ID. I suspect you're asking how to use/create an ID & not have a credit card associated with the account, correct? If so, you will need to either create a new ID by following the directions here:

Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old
