Free application and charged

Hi there,
I would like to know why when I want to download an application which is FREE and I try to download it, I type my password and then, I'm charged in my credit card for it. I don't understand the reason of this cost if the app is for free! I'll appreciate any help!! Thanks in advancde,

If you have the email invoice ,there is an option to challenge or query the charge on that invoice

Indeed, this can be done by setting your account up and choosing 'None' when prompted for billing information.

Try this:
- go to settings>itunes & app store
- tap on your apple id
- select view apple id
- select payment information
- if you have the option none select it
- select done to the top right
- now try downloading the free app again

Can I use Google Maps in iPhone application and charge for it?

I'm looking to create a location-based application for the iphone that uses a map to display locations. I'd like to use a UIWebView to display Google Maps using their javascript API which shows a map hosted on my web site.
When my app is finished, can I charge for it in the App Store, or will this be a violation of the Google Maps API Terms of Use?
Are there any other non-free iPhone apps that embed Google Maps?

Initially I had downloaded Document 2 (Free) application to view my doc, ppt and xls files. I was not able to edit the files so there was an option for upgrade the Document-2 free to paid version. I have upgraded the Document 2 application.

I am not able to open any existing document using the upgraded version of application. How do I connect all the existing txt,PPT,XLS doccument to the new upgraded Document-2 application and then to edit it on my iPad.

As suggested I had deleted the free application and did a hard restart the iPad. I have again copied the document using iTunes. But I am not able to edit any document using this app. Document 2 (paid version) supports editing features of the txt/ xls /ppt files. Is there any problem while loading the Document 2 app. If I reload then do I need to purchase again?

No, your purchase history cannot be deleted. Even though free apps did not include a money exchange, they are considered a purchase.

Free App and later it charged me.

Want to delete an application and reload it fresh

No matter what, I can remove an application 100% from my Mac and from my iPhone but my itunes account still keeps the record of my download of it. I want to totally remove a free application and just start from scratch but that is not possible, It will always come back with "you have already purchased this item, to download it again for free, select OK". We'll the app was free to begin with and I want to start the whole thing over with no record of having it before. It is obviously tied to my iTunes account, so does anyone know how to clear this? I do not understand this feature, I have had many songs wiped out because they were not backed up yet but those still had to be purchased again. Why is it different for apps? Anyhow, I need to know how to "clear" applications from my account. Can this be done?

One thing that might help out.
The record of you downloading the application is kept in your purchase history.
There is not a way to remove this from your record.
The reason for this is if you lost an application from your iphone and from itunes, you can download it again with out having to pay for it again.
Once you delete the application from the iphone and from itunes, you download it again as a fresh start. You just don't have to pay for it again.

Downloading of free applications from iTunes,but charged?

I am new to Apple world. Few days ago, I bought an iPad from Mac Store in my town. Today I began using it with my newly created apple ID. Before I could download application, I was prompted to provide information on my credit card, while suggesting that I would not be charged until I authorize each time for any downloading other than the Free applications. As a beginner, I have chosen to download Skype for iPad, which I understand a FREE application. After it was successfully installed and launched, I tested by calling one of my contacts from Skype. Subsequently to my surprise, I receive an e-mail alert from my Bank that provided me with the Credit Card, to advise me that a purchase was made in iTunes using my card. I am shocked to learn this, though the cost was very nominal, but I failed to understand, how could this happen when I did not purchase any application or music or similar? Is there some thing wrong in my understanding?

Each time that you add or change your credit card details on your iTunes account a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so (your card issuer should remove it).

Apple charged me when I try to download a free application. Please advice.

I purchased my iPad in 2012 when I was in United States.
Earlier, I was able to install free applications such as LastPass and Chrome.
Now, when I try to install any free application such as TalkingTom, I was asked to provide my credit cardinformation.
I wondered why Apple needs my credit card information when I try to download a free application.
When I entered my credit card information, I have got an error message that I need to visit India iStore.
But, I have got a mail from my credit card bank that Apple charged me INR 60/-.
1.) Can anyone tell me the procedure to get my money back?
2.) How do I visit India iStore from my iPad to download any application?
Please help.

The games might be free but I think you've clicked In-App purchase which cost money. You are warned before you accept the In-App purchase. You not that young and you can read so take action if you must. It's your own fault and all purchases are final. Good luck.
