Free Apps that have been charged when I redeemed
I bought an ITunes gift card recently. I followed redemtions instructions to download a free song of the day. When I downloaded it with my IPad, I curiously checked my gift card balance and it was charged. Several weeks later, I went to Starbucks and they gave me a card to redeem a free book. The same thing happened, my gift card was charged. I called tech support and nobody couldn't help me. How can this happened? I felt fooled...
Go to iTunes>Store>View account and sign in and go to Purchase history and review what you were changed for various items. The history lists the item, price and when purchased. It a problem contact iTunes:

How can i remove items from list that have been deleted when i click on them it keeps showing empty
how can i remove items from the list that have been deleted when i click on them it keeps showing folder empty
Actually, Reader SHOULD keep showing documents that no longer exist, I disagree. It's no big deal, and people will quickly realise why they can't open the file. They open more files, the old ones move off.
The REASON why it should not check is that checking whether a file exists can take a long time when things aren't good. For instance if a file server goes down, or a memory card is unplugged. That in turn would mean delays opening the File menu, and I've seen some software that can sit there for several minutes. That would really give people something of which to complain... -

I have 2 apps that have been waiting to update for a week. I don't really care about the update, I would just like to use them, but the are stuck waiting. I have tried powering down, syncing with my computer...all fails. Any ideas?
At this point you have no choice but to update the or delete them and reinstall them since you wont be able to use them until they update - or come out of the "waiting" loop.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again. -
I recently bought an ipad 2 and wanted to use all the apps on my iphone4 on my ipad but have been charged for the first app I downloaded when I use the same apple id. What should I have done to share the apps and should I have been charged? 2 months ago when I got a new iphone, i was told in order to get all my apps back as I hadn't backed up my files, if I used the same apple id I would 'purchase' the app, but then would not be charged as apple would recognise that I have already purchased the app. That worked, but when I did the same thing on my ipad 2 using the same apple Id, I was charged... what should I have done and is this right as I thought the whole point of having multiple apple devices was I could share apps between devices. please help! thanks.
Using the same Apple id and Password you should be able to download purchased apps without being charged again.
I download to an iPad/iPad2/iPhone3 & iPhone4 with no problem. -

How to list the parameters that have been used when running a publication
All,
I am trying to run a publication on a crystal report, when I look at the instance, I can see the report title, the status of the instance , run by ... but not the parameter that I have put in the prompt.
However when I create the Publication base on a crystal report, I do have the opportunity to set a specific parameter ..
Now if I go to the same crystal report that has been embeded in my publication and schedule it , afterwards when looking at the history, I can see
- the status instance, run by who, the report title and the parameter ...
Any idea is welcome
thank you
PhilippeHi Petra,
Please try to check the table OICQ7 with KNUMV from VBAK.

My family has multiple devices under one apple ID. I want to share only certain apps with certain family members. Is it possible to limit what apps are shared with which devices or do I need to share all of the apps that I download for personal use?
Thanks. I turned off the automatic downloads on the new devices (minis), but when I go into the app store I don't see any of the apps I have bought (for my original iPad) under "purchased". I was thinking that this was the logical place to find those apps that I want to download to the new devices. What am aI missing?

Any Good Apps That Have Been Updated For iOS 4?
So I'm trying to find some good apps that really take advantage of the iOS 4 new features. Was just curious if anyone's using an app that was recently updated with the notes that it supports iOS 4. I know Fandango does, but it doesn't really have any iOS 4 features built-in...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ALrWA8KTOwJust checked (literally), not yet. :'( I really want Skype and Pandora to update. Those are my two ones that I'm waiting for.

Can I recover lost iOS 5 versions of apps that have been upgraded to iOS 6 and beyond
My iTunes account covers an iPad 1 (iOS 5.1.1) and an iPod Touch 5,1 (iOS 8.0.2) and some of the apps stored by iTunes are no longer compatible with iOS 5.
My iPad has recently got totally frozen and so had to be put into recovery mode and restored but this process has caused me to lose apps that are on the iPod and upgraded for iOS 6 and beyond.
For example, my iPad no longer has iBooks which is the main reason that I bought it originally.
Is there any way that I can recover these lost apps? They are not in my waste bin/trash folder. If you have purchased/downloaded the App before, and it appears in the Purchased tab of the App Store on your iPad , then tapping on the cloud icon next to it to start the download will issue the Non compatible error, but will in fact prompt you to download a compatible version if your iOS version does not support the most current one and if there is a compatible version available.

Hi Jeffrey ...
Select: Turn off auto-renewing subscriptions here > iTunes Store: Purchasing and managing auto-renewing subscriptions

The app may be free but subscriptions are not.

HT5085 can i see i history of apps that have been download and dates of when download
need 2 know how or f i can see a history f all my app download even when they been deleted and redownload ???
You can see your purchase history on your computer's iTunes. If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it which you can click on
