Free Bundle Pack

Hi
I've had my MSI GT72 2QE-805UK for about 3 weeks now and I'm very happy with it. The only disappointment, was that there was no bundle pack included, which can be seen on many YouTube videos. The typical bundle pack would consist of MSI branded backpack, mouse mat, mouse, keyboard cover, earphones etc. Which Jonas kindly demonstrates on this video:
What is the situation as far as getting hold of these items, are they available for purchase seperately or should they have come with the laptop?

The store I bought it from says their MSI rep has been working with MSI to try and get hold of some bundle items. Its been a nearly a month now so I'm not sure, there will be any progress here. I would very much appreciate the opportunity to get hold of these items as mentioned in the original post.

Does Audio Finder search your HD's for files that might be loops or do you have to manually copy/move/drag all of your loops into Audio Finders Library?
Are the Audio editing features usable or do you have another go to app for loop editing?
So essentially you can have this open on a second monitor and just drag into GB's time line after auditioning?

Can I use the Window XP bundled with MS virtual PC in setting up boot camp?

Hi hi,
before having the new 24" iMac, I have MS office professional for Mac running on my 17" G5 iMac it. The bundle pack contains Window xp professional software running on Virtual pc program.
I want to install boot camp on my new intel mac but can i use the window xp program which is bundled with MS virtual pc software for setting up boot camp?
please advise.

Technically, so long as your bundled version is XP with service pack 2 then you should be able to use it.
Legally, no. When Windows comes with a PC, even a virtual PC, it's license is for an OEM installation. While it's still functionally the same as a copy you'd buy in the store its license is for use only with that PC it came with and no others.

How do i install photoshop elements 8 from a bundle?

I have a photoshop/premiere elements 8 bundle pack. Premiere has installed, but whenever i try to intall photoshop, it only offers me a 30 day trial. As things stand the premiere program was a bonus. Photoshop is the progam I wanted most of all. Please help me to get the program I want installed. Thank you.

Where did you get it from? On what system do you install? Is there actualyl a PSE serial somewhere on teh package?

BT Mobile Broadband no more bundles

Worth a punt on here as had a circular discussion with advisor on the phone (very nice about it, but not going anywhere).
Got BT mobile broadband when I signed up to my current home BB package, worked great. Not been away from home for a while, so not used it for a while. Came to use it this month and it's not working. Check online and my bill and notice no bundle has been added.
Advisor told me that the 'free' bundles where only for 18 months (I'm on an 18 month package apparently). Not quite explained to me that way when I signed up, but let's roll with it. My view is this is part of my package, after all I'm still paying the same amount, my home BB still works the same, what does it matter if I've gone over the 'magic' 18 month mark?
If that's the way it is, then fine. But something BT may want to review as, in my case at least, I've gone from a customer quite content to sit and pay my bill to BT monthly. Happy with the package I've got. To someone who's off to look at the BB comparison websites with an eye to move to another provide if there are better deals (which let's face it, there probably are).

There are better deals, and if as you say your 18month contract is up, now is the time to get one of the better deals.
Sit down, decide what you want , lower payments/free months/new hub/mobile broadband etc etc, then Give them a call and renegotiate a new contract.
You might not get all you want, be polite but firm and you might come away with a good deal.
BT are no different to any other company, your a sitting customer. The deals go to new customers and to out of contract customers.

How to Buy Score Bundles?

I've got soundbooth cs4. I've downloaded and used all the free bundles. Now I need new ones. I can't seem to purchase them. I click the cart next to the bundles and it takes me to the adobe site. But I see no where to buy the bundles. Adobe will not help me over the phone.

With Soundbooth CS5, ALL score bundles have been made free and available for direct download through Resource Central. I believe this may be why the bundles are no longer available for purchase in earlier releases of Soundbooth. While upgrading to Sb CS5 will probably be less expensive than purchasing two score bundles would be, let me do some investigation and see if there are any plans to make these score bundles available outside of Resource Central.

Yep! That's what I suggested to them for customers that don't have ZENworks.
On the otherhand application objects can be linked to WS objects for
installs to take place even before a user logon is initiated (and the login
script executed). They were looking for similar functionality to what they
use in AD with GPOs linked to computer OUs. This is only achievable with
ZENworks.

Free accessories bun

i ordered a creative zen micro today (5gb).... does the free bundle come WITH the package, like in it... or do i have to order specially (supposedly once i get the product, like having a form inside)

Now I understand your worry, hope you get one with accessories! On the plus side, at least if you have to buy your accessories you can choose ones you'll actually use - like I'd have gone for a necklace attachment instead of the armband if I'd had the choice.

Need advice on upgrading OS and iPhoto with multiple altered libraries.

I am going to upgrade from Tiger to Snow Leopard (Bundle Pack) and from iPhoto 6 to iPhoto 8. My wife and I have separate accounts on our MacBook Pro and I have combined our iPhoto Libraries onto an external hard drive using iPhoto Library Manager. Afterwards, I opened the Mac HD icon on my desktop, opened the pictures folder, went through the iPhoto Library folder, and opened the Originals folder. I deleted my photos through here which kept the thumbnail data (when I open iPhoto, I can see all of my photos, I just can't enlarge them beyond a certain size or I get a grayed out image with an exclamation point). I have since done the same for some of my wife's photos to free up space. This has been sort of useful to know what photos we have while not eating up the hard drive.
How do I install iLife '09 with a clean iPhoto Library? I do not care about seeing thumbnails anymore. However, is it possible to keep the thumbnails on my wife's account? When I open the iPhoto Library on the external HD, will it automatically convert it to the updated version?
An Apple Tech once told me that altering the iPhoto database like I did can corrupt it and they have since removed that ability in the latest version of iPhoto. I know I screwed it up and am unsure about the best approach once I do upgrade. Any advice is much appreciated.

Installing iPhoto '09 will work smoothly and seamlessly for operating libraries - I have no idea how it will react to the ones your have corrupted but suspect that it will upgrade them so they will operate in the same crippled way they do now
To have a fresh library you depress the option key and launch iPhoto and use new library option

My advice is to use standard operating procedure - backup everything up and do your upgrades (I would do the OS and wait a few days and then do iPhoto myself) - the good library will be updated and work as before - the corrupted libraries may or may not upgrade but i would guess they will and work as before too

the people in my department say that EM(browser based) or OEM is not licensed with thier bundled pack of R12 and 10g
and people on this forum tell me that thats not possible..

OEM dbconsole is free to use with 10g Database installation. However there are many features that require Management Pack data, you can't use these feature unless you have license.
On dbconsole database page, at bottom there's a line
"About Oracle Enterprise Manager "
On the right side of this line there's a small Icon called 'show Management pack information', once click it, the DBconsole will show on the page which feature are free to use and which require certain Management pack.

APPROVED Apple Products - Repair Issue

Ok, I recently had problems with my PowerBook G4 Laptop screen. When I adjusted the screen angle it would flicker and change colors and make it extremely hard to read, let alone use. I took this to an Apple Store and it was sent out for repair. It was returned and fixed, however, the solution was to remove one of my RAM chips they said was causing the error. Apple claims my RAM chip is NOT APPROVED for use with my laptop and was resulting in the product failure. So I received my fixed laptop with the removed RAM chip in a plastic bag. Here's my issue/question:
I bought the computer at CDW who is and Authorized Apple Partner. It came as a bundled packed and included a free upgrade of RAM (512MB Edge). How can an Apple Partner be selling system setups with products that aren't approved by Apple. So, now I'm out 512MB of RAM and no idea what is an APPROVED product to replace it. Let alone I have to pay to replace the RAM chip. In addition, if I use an UNAPPROVED Apple product and it results in the same failure, Apple won't cover this repair. What is a consumer to do?
Where can I find a listing of Apple APPROVED RAM chip providers? The chip is from Edge Technologies and they make numerious chips for all different Apple products. I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place. Bought the system from an Apple Partner, should have come with approved Apple products, Apple claims not and now I'm lost of 512MB RAM and no idea who is legit and APPROVED.

While I can't speak to your question regarding how CDW works, it's possible that in fact the 512MB RAM strip is indeed not working correctly. Our Powerbooks are sensitive to the quality of memory used, due to how power is managed on the memory bus. In terms of 'Apple approved' memory, I haven't seen a list anywhere. They do use Samsung and Micron (Crucial to you and me) memory in their systems, amongst other memory brands. In several 1.67Ghz Powerbooks's, I've used Kingston (not their valueram line), Crucial, and Samsung, which have all performed well. Crucial guarantees their memory works when chosen from the memory selector on their site http://www.crucial.com. Samsung is sold thru distributors - I use OWC at http://www.macsales.com .
You could always pay 2X and buy it from an Apple store if you want to guarantee there aren't future issues. If you want to buy memory outside of Apple, and ensure it's memory Apple uses, get Samsung. Depending on which model you have (pre or post Oct 2005), Samsung 512mb is $38 for the pre-Oct 2005 model, and they don't have Samsung 512mb for the hi-rez model. For 1GB, if you were so inclined, Samsung runs $58 to $86, depending on your model.

Adobe Premiere 9 Slow

Purchased PS and PSE in bundle pack. PS seems to work great, but PSE is super slow and freezes as soon as I try to do anything. Here is my computer details:

IS my computer big enough to handle PSE? I'm currently working on a slideshow for a wedding. Right now I am doing it in the Photoshop but I'd like to add just a few actual video clips to my slideshow of pictures, so I think PSE would be better...that is if I could get it to work.

Trying to use only ONE Hard Drive for Video Editing
You are a music conductor, with a baton that you use to point to various parts of the orchestra... this is like Windows pointing to various parts of the hard drive to do Windows housekeeping or to load program segments for various functions
Now, at the same time and with the same hand... while still using the baton to conduct the orchestra... pick up a bow and play a fiddle... this would be doing something with your video file at the same time as all the other work
You as a person cannot do both at the same time with the same hand
A computer is a LITTLE better, in that it can switch from one kind of task to another very quickly... but not quickly enough for EASY video editing
You need AT LEAST two hard drives (separate drives, never a partition http://forums.adobe.com/thread/650708?tstart=0 for more) with Windows (or Mac OS) and software on your boot drive, and video files on a 2nd drive so the boot drive is not slowed down by trying to do everything
I find that the three drives I use work very well for me, for editing AVCHD video... some people use a 4th drive, so video INPUT files are on drive three and all OUTPUT files are on drive four... I only bought a mid-tower case instead of a full tower case (my bad... but had to fit in the space available on my office desk!) so I use the three drives that will fit
Depending on your exact hardware (motherboard brand & model AND USB2 enclosure brand & model AND external hard drive brand & model) AND the type of video file, you may... or may NOT... be able to use an external USB2 hard drive for SD (Standard Definition) video editing

A USB3 hard drive connected to a motherboard with USB3 is supposed to be fast enough for video editing (I don't have such, so don't know) but eSata DOES have a fast enough data transfer for video editing... I have not used this eSata Dock... for reference only, YMMV and all the usual disclaimers
