In France at the adresse:
http://www.adobe.com/fr/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html
We can download different products of Adobe CS2 with the serials code.
How can i use this software ? professionnal ? limited ?
Can I work and earn money ?
Thank's in advance.
Bugous.

bugois,
Whatever is said out there, the download option has been established as a service for present legal owners of CS2, not as a free offer for others.
The reason is that it is no longer possible to activate the application(s) since the servers in question have been closed down.
Consequently, without some kind of download option, these owners would no longer be able to (activate and) use their CS2 application(s) after a reinstallation.
The question has been raised, and answered by Adobe staff, elsewhere in these forums, as in this thread:

I was trying to download cs2 free version but, the serial number given comes back invalid.  Is there a new one?

Item 2, on the download page
'You can use the serial numbers provided as a part of the download only if you legitimately purchased CS2, CS2 applications, Acrobat 7, or Audition 3.'

  • Why is it possible to download CS2 free from other sites?

Sorry to dredge up an old topic but please could someone clarify.
My understanding is that CS2 'free' downloads, were intended only for use by existing CS2 license holders in the event that they needed to reinstall their software. Is that still correct?
CS2 is listed as a freeware download on other websites e.g. [link removed by admin] Surely it is illegal to download and use the software unless you hold a valid license for it?
    Did I misunderstand?

    Hi Richard,
    Thanks for reporting the same.
I would go ahead and get the same looked upon.
    Thanks

But I haven't got any serial number...
Where can I find a serial number? This is a free download, but I can't find the number...
    Thank you,

How can I get my serial nubmer of the free AdobePS CS2?

it's not free.  the downloads are for licensed cs2 users.

  • Is adobe allowing free downloads of PS CS 2?  NO.

I heard this in an illustration class I am taking, with some people claiming they have downloaded the program. I can't believe this is true.....somebody please advise. Thanks in advance.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Adobe is a multi-billion dollar corporation. Maybe putting the serials on the page was a mistake. KEEPING them on the page is not. Adobe employs 10,000 people - literally. Are you telling me that not single one person said, "Oops. Gotta take those serials off of the page." in the entire 2 weeks since this thing went viral? If Adobe is sincere in their belief that CS2 is "free for some". there's no excuse for why the serials are still "free for all." None.
Adobe staffers, I feel bad for you. I really do. I know that you're just doing your job by parotting back the party line. It's your job and you're doing it well. No complaints about you. HOWEVER, what you say and what your bosses do don't exactly match up.
    1. We're being told that CS2 is only free for current license holders, but look at where we're being told this. This info is being kept in the tiny confines of this forum. Adobe has not directed a statement to the larger world, as serviced by the major tech & news sites. Singing in your shower is not the same thing as performing the Superbowl halftime show. Say it loud. Say it proud. Say it for all to hear. Adobe's forums are just a tiny corner of the internet. There's a whole group of people who have downloaded CS2 who haven't heard your message.
    2. Staffers, I know what you're saying. I hear it. If this is true then why is none of it mentioned on the download page? Again, the Japanese site has a disclaimer. Why not the other sites? Your talk is not matching the walk.
    3. Is it REALLY that hard to take the serials off of the page? Look. If you're serious, just edit the darn page. I don't know about you, but it'd take me less than 1/2 an hour to copy and paste a disclaimer, hide the serials, change the download links, and upload the correction. You've had 2 weeks (or more) to do it. You're not. If actions speak louder than words, what are Adobe's actions really saying?
    4. How about this Adobe? Commit a few hours of your resources. Just a few. Edit the installers and have them reject the public serials. Send out new serials to ACTUAL CS2 license holders and... TADA!! You can't fix the situation of already downloaded copies, but you can stop the spread of future copies. In essence, you have the power to blacklist those public serials for all future installations.
See my problem? Their actions aren't aligned with their words. That's either a sign of incompetence or that Adobe has accepted that "free for all" as an unofficial status quo for CS2. Again, staffers, I don't expect you to agree. I expect you to be the good little Adobe soldiers that you are. Staffers gotta eat too. However, let's be realistic here. There's a lot of talk, but not a whole lot of action.
Again, more people watch cat videos than read these forums. Adobe has the power to fix this situation, to correct this misconception. They're not. They won't. What's the message?  As far as anybody's concerned, CS2 is free for all. Unless somebody directs them to these few threads, that's the message.

  • Am I entitled to download CS2 products when I own an older Photoshop version?

I just installed my owned Photoshop CS (1), and can no longer activate it on my machine, meaning I can't use it after a 30-day trial period.
According to this page (http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm l) any version of Photoshop or other Adobe software older than CS3 will no longer activate.
But it only gives a solution to those who own CS2. It says "The serial numbers provided as a part of the download may only be used by customers who legitimately purchased CS2 or Acrobat 7 and need to maintain their current use of these products."
I have Photoshop CS (1), so does this solution not apply to me? I know that I can download CS2 from there, there's nothing actually stopping anyone from downloading them, but that's not what I'm asking. I'm asking if I'm actually entitled to it?
And if I'm not, what am I supposed to do? I can't justify spending £600 on new software when what I had has everything I need and runs perfectly fine on my machine. Is the software I paid for completely useless now?
    Thank you for any help.

This has just happened to me.  I am apparently behind the curve because I just recently tried to install my CS photoshop on a new computer and learned all about this "free download" "issued serial number" "customers entitled to copy as a courtesy" "server shutdown" situation.  I feel so cheated because I cannot use my older version or successfully activate the "free" download solution.  Do any of you have suggestions this late in the game?
When this all started and I chatted with customer support, the download option was not mentioned.  I was directed to purchase a new version.  Erg. I just need the features that I have been using for years!  I need my program that I already spent hundreds of dollars on!
    Thanks for listening

  • I lost a lot of tracks while syncing my ipod touch with iTunes. I have managed to get some of them back with a free download, but iTunes will not let me dowload whole albums which I have paid for. It does recognise that they have been purchased. What do n

As I've already said to get this far: I have lost a lot of tracks while syncing my iPod Touch with iTunes. I have managed to get free downloads of some of the single tracks, but when I try to download entire albums the system informs me that I have already purchased them and a pop-up window informs me I can get them back from my "Purchased" file. I would not be trying to dowload them again if they were anywhere on the iPod, would I? The other problem seems to be that with single tracks I don't know before I hit the purchase button if I have picked it from the right album and I have had to pay for it again.
I feel that I have been totally ripped off by iTunes and, apart from ranting on this forum, I don't seem to be able to let my feelings known. It's like a guy from my local record store coming round and nicking my albums and telling me that it's tough!
The point here is folks, that it was syncing two Apple sites which caused the loss of these tracks and from what I've read elsewhere this is a regular fault. And please don't tell me that it's my fault for having a pc. Apple shouldn't sell a product for pc, when it doesn't work on pc!

    - Are you saying that they are not listed in your Purchased section?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    - Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
    - Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck
If they are still available and listed in your Puchase History then contact iTunes

  • I am trying to use sites on the internet which require Adobe Flash Player, but when I click on the free download, it says that Apple does not support this application, so I cannot use it.  This stops me viewing quite a few interesting things.  Any ideas?

I am trying to use sites on the internet which require Adobe Flash Player, and when I click for a free download it says that "it is not available for your device because of restrictions that Apple has put in place".  Any suggestions on how to overcome this?

Flash is not, and probably never will be, supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ . Plus it would be up to Adobe to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, something which they have never managed to do and which they have now given up on trying to do.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter and Puffin 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, so your could try checking there for your sites (and there is the built-in YouTube app).

Get the redeem code from the KLove page:
    http://www.klove.com/music/store.aspx

You will have to sign in to your iTunes account.
It worked fine here.  If that doesn't work for you, let us know what went wrong.

  • Firefox 5.0.1 would cause my Free Download Manager to be disabled because it is not compatibl with the new version. What ones are compatible and free?

I have received a pop-up advisory from Firefox several times, saying that my Free Download Manager is not compatible with the recommended 5.0.1 upgrade and wold have to be disabled until the compatibility problem was corrected.
(I think that I did download it, and that was when I got the first warning. I visited my download m manager shortly afterward, and all my download history had disappeared. I think that I then reversed the upgrade.)
Since then, my emails will load only in Basic HTML, which I have several problems with. I don't know if that is a Google or a Firefox problem.
So, my initial problem is that I need a reliable and easy to use free downloader before I can upgrade and get my Standard HTML back.
What free Download Managers are compatible with Firefox 5.0.1?
While we're at it, is 5.0.1 Beta? And what is Beta?

    Solution: (Free Download Manager)
Go here: http://codecpack.co/download/Free_Download_Manager.html and download Free Download Manager 3.8.1067 Beta 3, it works perfectly with Firefox 5.0.1
Solution: (to Google mail aka Gmail)
I have had this problem for a while since I did a previous Firefox update, where I had to force Gmail to load in Basic HTML else it's next to impossible to use it. The solution is this: simply update your Java, and Gmail will work without a problem using Standard HTML. To update your Java go here: http://www.java.com/en/ and select "Free Java Download".
And beta normally, universally, means "the not quite there yet version of the version we're aiming for" NORMALLY used during production and testing of a type of software.

  • After my first questio: can not find the link for free download firefox 6. You answered and I used the link you send. nr 5 was downloaded but it did not work on a minimac it said the version of the mac does not allow it. What to do use the 3.6

The upgrade notification did not give a free download icon so I asked you and you replyed with an email with a link. I went to the page and could happily download nr 5 instead of 6 but well.
Now firefox gives still the notification to upgrade and what i downloaded does not work on my mac with safari.
So can i savely stay with 3.6 ?

You can't use Firefox 4 on Mac OS X 10.4, on on 10.5 you need the Intel chip.
It would be easier if you replied to your original question, so someone can see what you are talking about. There are a lot of questions asked even in a single day so we can't see what that was easily. If you need to redownload 3.6.17 then
    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
I tried a search on your name and that didn't work, but you could possibly have found your previous post via the "My contributions" link at the top of
    https://support.mozilla.com/questions
I doubt that Firefox 5 or 6 would be any different, once support is dropped for hardware or operating system it stays dropped, you need to stay with version 3.
