Free download of Garageband jampacks

How many times, or on how many computers, can I download the four free jampacks? My imac is partitioned, so I want the jampacks on each side of that computer, and I will be getting a macbook for my use at my school where I work as a music teacher. Can I download the jampacks three different times through my one .mac account?

As for the Jam Packs, they are $99 each, SRP. As a way to give you a taste, they took some of the loops and made them available on people's .mac account
One other thing, even if the server DOES limit the number of D/Ls, they're just loops, you can copy them to any partition/Hard Drive/Computer. You'd have to read Apple's license agreements to find out if they put any restrictions on this, but typically as long as something is in use on only one computer at a time, and they are all yours, I don't think there's an issue.

GarageBand is not a free download. You must have downloaded an update for an existing version GarageBand. Therefore, you need to have a version of it installed in order to use the update.
Is the iBook an iBook G4?

Iphoto for free download anywhere ?

I have just got a new macbook pro to replace my old white macbook. On the new laptop there is no ilife/no iphoto ( have checked applications, finder and spotlight.
All I need is something like iphoto 6. Downloads from the camera, easy to store, can tweak pictures to improve look of them, drag to desktop to upload into ebay. Simple and easy and quick. Is there a free download for iphoto 6 anywhere out there on the web. I have looked but can't find one. New laptop runs OS 10.8.3
I don't want to buy from app store as I don't need or will ever use all the fancy bits.
If there is no freebie download can you recommend any other simple picture edit program that will do the same ?

iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand come for free with every new Mac. First, if your computer didn't come with iPhoto, open the App Store (you can find it in the Dock or in  > App Store), go to Purchases tab and download iPhoto for free.
I recommend you to give iPhoto '11 a try, and if you don't like it, you will have to purchase an older iLife version in a DVD and install it

Have you restarted your computer after installing the additional content?
How many drummers do you see, when you select a patch for a Drummer Track?

As I've already said to get this far: I have lost a lot of tracks while syncing my iPod Touch with iTunes. I have managed to get free downloads of some of the single tracks, but when I try to download entire albums the system informs me that I have already purchased them and a pop-up window informs me I can get them back from my "Purchased" file. I would not be trying to dowload them again if they were anywhere on the iPod, would I? The other problem seems to be that with single tracks I don't know before I hit the purchase button if I have picked it from the right album and I have had to pay for it again.
I feel that I have been totally ripped off by iTunes and, apart from ranting on this forum, I don't seem to be able to let my feelings known. It's like a guy from my local record store coming round and nicking my albums and telling me that it's tough!
The point here is folks, that it was syncing two Apple sites which caused the loss of these tracks and from what I've read elsewhere this is a regular fault. And please don't tell me that it's my fault for having a pc. Apple shouldn't sell a product for pc, when it doesn't work on pc!

- Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
- Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck

Flash is not, and probably never will be, supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ . Plus it would be up to Adobe to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, something which they have never managed to do and which they have now given up on trying to do.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter and Puffin 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, so your could try checking there for your sites (and there is the built-in YouTube app).

Firefox 5.0.1 would cause my Free Download Manager to be disabled because it is not compatibl with the new version. What ones are compatible and free?

I have received a pop-up advisory from Firefox several times, saying that my Free Download Manager is not compatible with the recommended 5.0.1 upgrade and wold have to be disabled until the compatibility problem was corrected.
(I think that I did download it, and that was when I got the first warning. I visited my download m manager shortly afterward, and all my download history had disappeared. I think that I then reversed the upgrade.)
Since then, my emails will load only in Basic HTML, which I have several problems with. I don't know if that is a Google or a Firefox problem.
So, my initial problem is that I need a reliable and easy to use free downloader before I can upgrade and get my Standard HTML back.

I have had this problem for a while since I did a previous Firefox update, where I had to force Gmail to load in Basic HTML else it's next to impossible to use it. The solution is this: simply update your Java, and Gmail will work without a problem using Standard HTML. To update your Java go here: http://www.java.com/en/ and select "Free Java Download".

You can't use Firefox 4 on Mac OS X 10.4, on on 10.5 you need the Intel chip.

I doubt that Firefox 5 or 6 would be any different, once support is dropped for hardware or operating system it stays dropped, you need to stay with version 3.

I cleaned my computer lately and it won't let me open iTunes, saying I don't have the correct permissions, so I backed my iTunes files up and deleted it. Now when I try to install the free download it says 'The installer encountered an error...

Go to HD>Library>Receipts - remove the iTunesX.pkg receipt. Drag the iTunes app to the trash.
Repair permissions with Disk Utility - reboot - then try to run the installer.

How can I get past the iTunes page that offers a free download of iTunes 10+ ?

My iMac G5 doesn't have the Intel Processors and it operates on OS X 10.4. Both conditions make it impossible for me to upgrade to iTunes 10. Every time I attempt to log into the iTunes Store, I am given a page that offers me the opportunity to upgrade to iTunes 10+ and I'm not able to get beyond the page and in to the Store. My account is current and I'm not happy with this strategy to make my perfectly good iMac obsolete and force me to buy a new one in order to access the iTunes Store. I need a way to get beyond the page that offers the iTunes 10+ free download, so I can purchase the music I want. Please help me get around this Apple ploy.

Many of us don't like it but innovative Apple staying ahead of the curve means those of us on the other side quickly get ignored. After all, who is it who is spending money on all that hardware and software; the people staying with the newest all the time, or those of us who haven't bought a computer or operating system in 5 years? It's a for-profit company so you can hardly blame them, though it doesn't endear me to the policy of not supporting anything older than 4 years or so.
More in response to your specific issues, with a G5 you can upgrade to OSX 10.5 (which doesn't require Intel except for iCloud and related) which will allow you to run newer iTunes. It's a bit of hassle and some cost.
Alternatively think about buying from some other online retailer such as Amazon and don't forget to write Apple saying what you're doing.

A comment on Niel's suggestion, I don't think anything less than iTunes 10 gives you access to the iTunes store.

Take your Mac to a location with a fast, relaible Internet connection that will be all yours during the duration of the download.
If you want to complain, PLEASE call Apple and do so.
Internet only downloads of OS X is completely stupid, it assumes everyone has reliable Internet everywhere and /or no data caps.
