Free download used up a credit
I had two free songs. I tried to download the free episode of 30-rock and it deducted one of my song and told me my free songs were out of date, which I know they aren't. They're good until 3/07. What can I do?
Free songs from iTunes are only available for a limited time. Once it is not listed as free in iTunes anymore you will be charged. This means showing from in Music Store not showing free in Shopping Cart. I did that once, waited too long to download a free song from the shopping cart. By the time I did it wasn't free anymore. In the shopping cart the price didn't change from free to a price.

Charged full CD price AND free downloads used up.
I was credited with 3 free songs on my iTunes account (from Cookie Crisp boxes). I went to purchase the new VNV Nation CD for $9.90 and when it was finished downloading, my 3 free songs weren't listed in the top corner anymore, and I was charged the full price for the CD.
I had figured that it just pulled the price of 3 of the songs from the CD and used them up, but the free song credits are gone and I was indeed charged full price.
Is there a way I can get my free song downloads added to my account again?
Windows XP ProI believe that the credits from the General Mills cereal promotion have expired (at the end of February, from what I can determine). The display probably just didn't refresh until you purchased that album, so it was erroneously showing that you still had those song credits available.
And just FYI for the future, song credits cannot be used toward the purchase of an entire album. -
Firstly, if this is the wrong category, I apologize.
I used a prepaid credit card on my apple account to purchase an app add on for $2. The credit card only had $2.50 on it, which is why I used it. Now that I spent what was on it, I am not able to download even free apps from the app store. I have tried signing out and back in to try and erase the data, didn't work. I tried to create a new Apple ID and for some reason the option to not have a credit card on your billing info is no longer there like it was when I made my original account. I also tried to go through iTunes on my PC to fix the issue, it didn't work. I don't have another credit card to put on my account as I always use pre-paids as needed. Does anyone know how to get this card off of my billing information so I can download the free apps again?!Hi there Brittney93,

How did you create the account ? Unless you followed, exactly, the instructions on the HT2534 page that you posted from when creating an account then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.

If you have already created the Apple ID, yes. You can add the card - it will authorize $1.00 (USD) which will be released. At that point, you can then change the payment method to None - Then done.

ISkin Revo Users: Anyone use 50 free downloads?
I'm just wondering if anyone has tried this yet?
Just curious.They are kind of limited, not as good of a selection as iTines or that other one. They require a credit card to signup to get those 50 free downloads. They hold that card number in their records so that it can't be used in the future to open another trial account to get free downloads again.

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

I currently have my credit card on my iTunes account and when I have no money in my bank account it won't let me download the free apps even though they don't cost anything. How do I stop this so I can download or remove my credit card?
All downloads from iTunes are tied to the account that downloaded it, you can't re-download content via a different account. You checked the spam folder on yourr old account as well as the Inbox, and depending upon how long ago you did it, have you retried getting it reset : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password' ?

I am trying to use sites on the internet which require Adobe Flash Player, and when I click for a free download it says that "it is not available for your device because of restrictions that Apple has put in place". Any suggestions on how to overcome this?
Flash is not, and probably never will be, supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ . Plus it would be up to Adobe to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, something which they have never managed to do and which they have now given up on trying to do.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter and Puffin 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, so your could try checking there for your sites (and there is the built-in YouTube app). -
The upgrade notification did not give a free download icon so I asked you and you replyed with an email with a link. I went to the page and could happily download nr 5 instead of 6 but well.
Now firefox gives still the notification to upgrade and what i downloaded does not work on my mac with safari.
So can i savely stay with 3.6 ?You can't use Firefox 4 on Mac OS X 10.4, on on 10.5 you need the Intel chip.

I doubt that Firefox 5 or 6 would be any different, once support is dropped for hardware or operating system it stays dropped, you need to stay with version 3. -
I have downloaded the 30 day free trial using Adobe Download Assistant but I do not know how to open it and start using it.
This was so annoying!! It took me a good couple of hours but i figured it out, you need to do the following: Go to the folder where you saved the download (in my case i saved it in My Downloads) -> click on 'Adobe Photoshop Elements 12' -> click on 'PSE 12' -> click on 'Setup' (select the icon which is a box with a shield) -> follow instructions and....voila! You will need to restart when it suggests so save anything else first, then when it reboots you should see the icon on your desktop....hpe this helps!

When you go to Starbucks, you'll need to first go to Settings on your iPad and choose Network. You'll see ATTWIFI as one of the available networks. When you click on that to select it, you should be immediately sent to AT&T's sign in page. You just need to check the box that says you agree to their terms and conditions and then hit the Connect button and you'll be online. One warning, however. If your Starbucks is anything like those in Manhattan, be prepared for really slow wifi. It can be a real pain waiting for pages to load sometimes.

First, to prevent this from happening again, turn off "In App purchases" in the Restrictions settings on your iPod. You may also want to turn off the ability to install apps, to prevent purchases in case the child gets hold of your iTunes Store account information, and set the password to be required immediately. As to a refund, that's not automatic since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:

They're usually pretty lenient in the case of inadvertent purchases by children. No guarantees, though, just as if your child was in a store and ate a bunch of food (in other words, something that can't just be returned).
