So this girl is saying that her boyfriend got his iPad with cracked screen exchanged for free, and he also got his iPhone 5 replaced for 15 times. She posted it on the 9 of November 2012 and the iPhone just came to Australia on the 12th of September 2012. That's only 2 months and he got his iPhone 5 replaced for 15 times. Also my friend got some problem with her iPhone 5 and she came to the store to fix but the people there required her to pay like $130 for fixing cost. Plus another friend of mine also got his iPad screen cracked and they told him to pay like $300 to fix it. How is this even fair?

Unlikely.
However, I know for fact that Apple does make exceptions from their repair policies.
Sure give them a call, be nice about it and see where will that take you. It helps if you've got a lot of Apple stuff...

The warranty does not cover accedental damage like a broken screen. However, some time the Genius at the Genius Bar of an Apple store will replace the iPod at not cost. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar and ask. If not under warranty, Apple will exchange yours for:

Free Windows for sub-9" devices, does this include a personally made sub-9" device?

Frustrated by the cost of high performance laptops, I built an ugly, tan-painted box with an eight inch screen to work away from my desktop. I named it Boxy and threw in bits here and there to make it work. It currently runs Android, but it's secondary mainboard
can support Windows 8.1. I can provide visual proof of it's size (a ruler from corner to corner of the screen) if needed.
How would I obtain a copy of 8.1 for Boxy? I recently heard sub-9" devices would get Windows for free.

You would have to be a major manufacturer of tablets or phones (does not apply to PCs) and have a special agreement with Microsoft. An individual would not qualify. Please review this

Nano warranty...no coverage for cracked screen but what about if it dies?

I cracked my nano screen early on. Of course, apple says it will not cover "negligent" damage. that's fine, no argument there. i was using it as a shuffle for a good month. then the nano goes dead. plug it into the USB charger, it does not show up on itunes. no amount of fiddling gets it to turn on.
will apple cover fixing the power issue? i don't care if they don't fix the screen, but i at least would like to use the nano as best as I can. they can't claim that the broken screen caused the nano to die because it was working for a month before it died.
any suggestions would be great. thank you.

It almost certain that Apple will refuse service to any iPod that shows signs of accidental damage, misuse or abuse.
These forums are littered with posts like yours where they have refused service even though the damage may not have caused the fault.
You can try, but be prepared for Apple to say no.

That is incorrect. You will pay $199 for an out of warranty replacement of the iPhone 4S, unless you had purchased AppleCare+, then that fee is $49.

Just to set expectations properly, just because you buy a system from a retail Apple Store doesn't mean you automatically get higher return privileges. The same general standards vis-a-vis repair vs. replacement apply no matter whether you get your system from a local Apple Store or via the web. It's completely up to Apple, regardless of how you purchased your system, whether or not they'll replace a defective system or attempt to repair it.
Yes, a stock configuration will be eligible for the 14-day return, but that would apply whether you get the system locally or via the web, and with an opened box, a restocking fee may be applied.
As to your current situation, call Apple Tech Support and ask to speak with Customer Relations. When you get a CR rep on the line, explain the situation, including all details as to the problems (make sure you have applicable case numbers at hand), when the system has been sent in, what you've been promised and where things stand now. They may be able to help resolve the matter. But a refund is unlikely, in my experience; the highest level of resolution you're likely to get is a replacement of your exisiting system with another of the same configuration. It won't hurt to ask for a refund, of course, but don't expect one.
