Free game count against the limit

So I purchased Disney magic world and Mario tennis for the 3ds. When I checked out Mario tennis total said 23.99 with Gamers club unlocked written underneath the price. Disney was free do the total said $0.00 with nothing underneath the price.
My question is since I paid nothing for Disney does it not count against my 3 game GCU purchase limit?
If a moderator needs to see my order number please send me a pm,

Hey again qualityman13,
Good question! Buy One, Get One offers are always a pretty sweet deal, so wanting clarification is certainly understandable.
Anytime that your My Best Buy membership information is attached to a sale, any games purchased on that transaction automatically count towards the three-copy limit of those respective titles. This includes both when your membership info is entered at the time of purchase and when you use the "Forgot Purchase" feature on the My Best Buy site.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

  • Do internet backups count against the 7 limit burn for playlists?

I'm a windows XP user. I'm considering a subscription to an internet service for backups. My iTunes library will be one of the folders I want to backup. Would a backup count against the limit of 7 burns for a playlist?
Thanks in advance for your help

No. A "burn" means to burn the songs to a CD. Not anything else.

  • HT1420 I use two MacBook pro, two iPads and two iPhones. Upon connection and attempt to synchronize photos I receive a message that my authorization limit is exceeded. I read that iOS devices do not count against the authorization limit.

I use two MacBook pro, two iPads and two iPhones. Upon connection and attempt to synchronize photos I receive a message that my authorization limit is exceeded. I read that iOS devices do not count against the authorization limit. One iPhone and one iPad show in the authorization list. iTunes wants to delete my purchased programs and books from the iPad to continue synchronization. What can I do?

Ok, now I do wish I could edit....
I forgot to APPLY the network settings for the USB cable to work. Connected thru USB I can tether.
So, I kept playing, and playing some more...
I had previously unpaired everything, and gone as far as removing network devices HOWEVER...
I didn't remove the Ethernet, Firewire or Airport Network devices.
Now, I have done so. I REMOVED EVERYTHING
    No pairing, no network devices.
Bluetooth was already turned off, and I rebooted.
I turned off tethering and rebooted the iphone.
I turned on bluetooth (on the MBP), I turned on tethering. I browsed for the iphone. It said I was already paired???? Ok, repair AGAIN, and THE IPHONE SHOWED MY BLUETOOTH TETHERING BLUE BAR at the top of the screen!
I opened a web page, no go... d4mn, I was close...
Opened network preferences and the created a new bluetooth PAN and voila! Internet back on the MBP. I am about to reinstall the ethernet and airport (I can live without firewire for now) and see what happens.
Basically, the link I posted two posts ago, I had already done that, but I NEEDED to remove ethernet, firewire and airport as well...
So MAYBE it's fixed, we'll see for how long. I'm not going to mark this as answered for now, because basically, it has failed for no reason, and I want to know why...
Hopefully someone can come up with something, but having to delete and reinstall all pairings and network devices (to me) is not really a solution, it's a workaround (at best).

  • HT201318 If photos, purchased music and videos, books and apps don't count against the 5GB of storage then why is my storage full? What is filling it up?

What fills up storage on icloud, they say photos on photo stream, apps, purchased music, books or videos don't count against the free 5GB they give you. Mine is full and I only back up contacts, calendars, passbook and find my iphone

Might be your backup if you have lots of photos and videos in your camera roll.  Might be your email if you have lots of saved messages with large attachments.  Might be backups of older or different devices that you no longer need.
This might help you determine what's using your space and how to reduce it: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847.

  • Does the 25,000 song count against the 5GB limit?

I was wondering. You can upload up to 25,000 songs. That's great and all, but does it take up your 5GB limit on iCloud, thereby forcing you to purchase more storage space?
If you guys can point to an article from Apple addressing this specific issue, that'd be fantastic
    Thanks in advance!

Nope, the 25k song limit and the 5G limit for other iCloud things are entirely separate.  Music doesn't touch the 5G.

  • Do photo stream pictures count against the iCloud storage limit?

    Aloha all,
My iPad is my only Apple device, so my concern is not having multiple devices synced.  I am more interested in having a backup of the pictures and video I take with my iPad.
Mahalo for your time and help

Photo Stream is intended more for sharing your photos and syncing them between devices. You should look at DropBox or other dedicated photo sites if you are looking for more of an online backup. But the best backup is to get your photos synced to a computer and back them up to a backup USB drive as well. I will go another step and burn CD/DVDs of my photos as well.
I like to use DropBox as an online back up when traveling till I can get home and get a copy of my photos into my photo library and it's more permanent backups.

  • Do purchased songs count towards the limit?

I was just curious because I am nearing the 25,000 song limit and was wondering if the songs I purchased on iTunes store counted towards this?

    Keith,
Sorry - Store purchased music doesn't count....

  • Are there any free games/apps for the Classic??

Seems like if you don't own an iTouch or iPhone, your SOL! I've read to be careful just downloading anything from anywhere. Are there safe sites offering games and/or apps? Thanks!

None that I am aware of, just the limited games that are available on the iTunes Store.

  • Will a return/rebuy to use a coupon put me over the limit?

    Hello,
Recently I renewed my Gamers' Unlocked for 2 more years, and had been looking for 3 pre-owned games to use the b2g1 coupon on.  The stores around me seem to have a very poor supply of pre-owned games, and what they do have is overpriced or does not come with the artwork(which is a whole other issue).
So I noticed that Infamous Second Son is on sale online this week for around $22.  I thought to myself, why not order 3, do a return/rebuy in store so I can use the coupon, and trade the other 2 copies to my friends?
My question is, does the initial order of 3 being returned and then purchased again put me at 6 total copies?
    Thank you!

    Hey again CBGamer,
They do not! Any time you return a new title or receive one as part of a bundle offer (ex: Buy 2, Get 1 sales), that title does not count against the annual 3-copy Gamers' Club Unlocked limit. Pre-owned titles are also not subject to the same 3-copy limit as their brand-new counterparts. For additional information though, you may want to check out this FAQ:
My Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked
    I hope this helps.

  • HT1420 Does using an AppleTV with home shareing count against your 5 PC's?

I have 2 AppleTV's, One in the bedroom and one in the Living Room.  When  set them up for homesharing do they each count against the 5 PC limit?  Any chance of getting the 5 PC limit increased?

No. Only authorized computers count towards that limit of 5. Actually if you install multiple operating systems on the same box each one is treated separately. iOS devices can (but don't have to) count against a limit of 10 computers and/or iOS devices that can be simultaneously authorized for automatic downloads of your purchases.
See HT1420 - iTunes Store: About authorization and deauthorization (the article that brought you here) and HT4627 - iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID.

  • Invalid Volume Free Block Count Error In Disk Utility

My Ti-Book has been acting very strange lately so I decided to run the Verify Disk Option in the Disk Utility program. When I ran it, I got a series of messages in red that were:
Volume Bit Map Needs Minor Repair
    Invalid volume free block count
Error: The Underlying Task reported failure on exit
When the verify disk function completed, I was asked to enter my administrator password. When I entered it and clicked on Okay, the Disk Utility program froze up and I had to restart.
What do the two error messages mean? How do I repair my disk?

Hi, WTM. The Verify Disk routine in Disk Utility is almost never worth running. It does the same error-detection tasks as the Repair Disk routine, but then it doesn't repair any errors that it finds.
Start up from your Tiger installer DVD, open Disk Utility, select your hard drive, and run the Repair Disk routine. If you get the same "task reported failure on exit" message, you'll need a stronger directory-repair utility like DiskWarrior, or you'll need to erase your hard drive completely and reinstall everything on it.

  • A FREE game called "We Farm" steals real money from iTunes account?

I think Apple should take a serious look on this game - "We Farm" and many others. Although it is a free game, but actually it can steal your money from your iTunes account during your kids playing the game.
My son just played the game for about 10 mins, then my iTunes account was charged for $29.70 for three purchases of some bottles. This is some kind of tricks named Top in App Purchases (Finally I know what it is) that Apple should not allow it happened; since it doesn't need you to punch in the password again to confirm payment.
Now I know that many free games also has the function of Top in App Purchases; so everyone should be very careful when downloading these free games. May be Apple would like to see these things happen again and again because the money steal from our iTunes account with a large portion goes to Apple's pocket.

I understand what you are saying. Everyone needs to take responsibility for their purchases and for their children. Just the same it seems like anytime $ is going to come out of your itunes account it should require your itunes account password and Apple should require this from 3rd party app developers. I can see parents letting their kids play with the ipad....they download a free game app because their parents said that they can if it's free....and then they go on to play it, make purchases and rack up $100 or $200 dollars because the parents are not paying attention to their kids and are letting the ipad "babysit" them....just like many parents let the TV "babysit" their kids. I'm not saying it's right....just that you can't expect every parent in the world to win the "Best Parent in the World" prize.
If I were them - I'd call up Apple Customer Relations to see about getting the $ back or at least getting the app developer to put some sort of impediment in the way of very small children making purchases on the ipad.

  • I think someone might be hacking my computer.  I downloaded a free game last night and since then under the shared tab in my finder it says "hp002655a82ea0" and the only info I can get about it is that it is a pc.

I downloaded a free game last night and since then under the shared tab in my finder it says "hp002655a82ea0" and the only info I can get about it is that it is a pc.  Then under console I see several "stealth mode connection" attempts ti TCP 192.168.1.107:##### from 74.125.225.82.443.  The second number has jumped around and sometimes starts with 192.  I dont really know what those numbers are but how do I stop them from attempting to get through my firewall and kick them out of my shared tab???  I encrypted all my files and made sure all sharing is turned off so I don't know what they are doing.  Thank you very much.

Mac OS X versions 10.6.7 and later have built-in detection of known Mac malware in downloaded files. The recognition database is automatically updated once a day; however, you shouldn't rely on it, because the attackers are always at least a day ahead of the defenders. In most cases, there’s no benefit from any other automated protection against malware.
The most effective defense against malware is your own intelligence. All known Mac malware takes the form of trojans that can only operate if the victim is duped into running them. If you're smarter than the malware attacker thinks you are, you won't be duped. That means, primarily, that you never install software from an untrustworthy source. How do you know a source is untrustworthy?
Any website that prompts you to install software, such as a “codec” or “plug-in,” that comes from that same site, or an unknown site, is untrustworthy.
A web operator who tells you that you have a “virus,” or that anything else is wrong with your computer, or that you have won a prize in a contest you never entered, is trying to commit a crime with you as the victim.
“Cracked” versions of commercial software downloaded from a bittorrent are likely to be infected.
Software with a corporate brand, such as Adobe Flash, must be downloaded directly from the developer’s website. No intermediary is acceptable.
Follow these guidelines, and you’ll be as safe from malware as you can reasonably be.
Never install any commercial "anti-virus" products for the Mac, as they're all counter-productive. If you need to be able to detect Windows malware in your files, use ClamXav -- nothing else.

iMessage does not use call minutes or SMS message quota in your plan.  It does use data when when the phone is connected to cellular data.  When you use WiFi, it's completely free.
