Free goods is issued, but R100 discount is not triggered in proforma invoic

hi all,
free goods is determined in sales order with 100%discount for the free item, but in the proforma invoice (F5) the free item is coming with price. in copy controls between sales order and proforma invoice(F5) the pricing type is G "copy pricing elements unchanged and redetermine taxes. the item category is pricing with 100% discount.
thanks in advance

Hi
Free goods in sales order is picked mainly from condition type R100 thro your sales order Pricing Procedure( both inclusive or exclusive)
If you go to the details of R100 in V/06 there wont be access sequence
This R100 mainly works on requirement 55 in the pricinig procedure and alternate base value formula 28
that means this works on special ABAP routines
May be these routines might have a link  to proforma  billing type thro doc category proforma in VOFA details for F8 which makes this R100 as ineffective and hence prices are reflected there
Again these values are not going get carried to any GL accounts as this is a proforma only

  • R100 discount type  is deactive in proforma invoice

    Hi All,
I am  using free goods 100% discount (condition type R100) in my pricing procedure. In the sales order it is reflecting properly when I am creating a subitem free goods with item cat tann. But when I am creating a proforma invoice with invoice type F5 ,the R100 condition type is getting deactivated.
A altcBv of 28 is attached with R100 in the pricing procedure which says that "The condition R100 will be deactivated in the pro forma invoice”.But why the Condition type R100 will be deactivate in Proforma invoice. Is there any business logic for that?
    regards

Usually what happens in India scenario is when the billing is to be done later, in reference to the proforma invoice an Excise invoice is generated. So no matter what happens if the goods are sent out of the plant they have to be billed for excise even for free goods so therefore probably the R100 is deactivated.
Hope I am correct, please correct me if I am wrong.

  • Free Goods Category 3- NRAB with discount

    Hi there,
In VBN1 I used category 3 - inclusive rebate w/o item generation. During sales order booking, pricing procedure must determine the price, the discount and the free goods I maintained. My problem is, the basis of my free goods amount is the total discount and NOT the price maintained. Please help!

    Hi Ravi,
Thanks for the response. What's being used as amount in my free goods condition type is not the selling price but the total discount. Please see example below.
    ZR02     Price-Regular     777.50
         Price                 777.50
         Total Parity                 0.00
         Net of Parity                 777.50
    Z006     ML Disc 1                 5.000-%
         Value 1                 738.63
    Z007     ML Disc 2                 1.000-%
         Value 2                 731.24
         Value 3                 731.24
         Value 4                 731.24
         Value 5                 731.24
         Value 6                 731.24
         Discount 1                 38.88-
         Discount 2                 0.00
         Discount 3                 7.39-
         Net Value for Item     46.26-
    NRAB     Free goods                          46.26
Instead of having an amount for free goods equal to -777.50 what's being used as amount is 46.26 (positive)

I had a similar issue, but this article did not resolve it because the app could not be found.
Reset all settings to simplify the app search still did not reviel the app.
In the app store the app said Open, but it would not.
    The solution was simple.
    Settings> General> Usage> Show all Apps> Select App> Delete App.
    Then App Store download app.
    Fixed.

Telling is that you tried most of the things on the net doesn't tell us exactly what you did try, so we are all still left to guess .....
Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again
If that doesnt work - go to Settings>General>Date and Time - set the date ahead by a few months. Try to update again. If you get an error message of any kind - go back and change the date and time to automatic again. Then try again.
If that doesn't work, restart your router and reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Free Goods - Always issue qty 1

    Hi All,
We have a requirement to use the Free Goods functionality.
My problem is that the business requirement is to free issue qty 1 of a material as a sub material.
We require the qty (exclusive bonus qty) to remain unchanged regardless of the order qty of the 'higher' level part.
In other words if some one orders one of these 'special' materials, they only ever receive qty 1 of the additional material.
I know that it is not possible the attach 2 'bonus' materials (this would have been a nice feature).
Is it also not possible to send qty 1 free goods regardless of the higher level order qty.
    Appreciate any help.
    Thanks
    Guy

    Hi,
hope you are having different item category for free good. In VOV7 check "Order qty=1"  in item category details.
Have not tested this in system as am away from the system. you could try for yourself & update the result in forum.

  • Free Goods on NET Value.... not by quantity

    Dear All,
In our company there is a unique scenerio:
There are three Material Pricing Groups : MC , CD , MP3. Now a particular Bulk Buyer wants that if he orders any items from the above Mat. Pr. Groups... then for 15 and multiples of 15 he will get a value discount on the invoice value.
    For ex: customer orders 5 MC, 30 CDs and 15 MP3. Total is 50 and value before tax is say Rs.2050. Now, 50/13 = 3. The pricing should be (2050/50) * (50 - 3) = 41 * 47 = Rs. 1927

Your question is about Value discount whereas your subject line says Free goods.
    Can you be more specific?
In sales transactions, Discount and Free goods are completely different.

  • Free of cost material but the planned delivery cost is to be invoiced

    Hi,
We are having a scenario where in we receive material free of cost but have to pay for the delivery cost to the vendor.
We are creating Purchase order with the "free item" checked and we are maintaining the freight condition at the header level as at the item level as soon as you check the free item check box, the conditions tab disappears.
Secondly if we are maintaining planned delivery at the header level it requires the Invoice check box to be checked. Which is not possible to maintain with the free check box ticked.
Have maintained the vendor master without the GR based IV tick.
Request to kindly do let us know where have we missed out.
    Regards,
    mahesh.

one of the way out of this issue is
give a heavy discount on that material from vendor and put the price of material such as to do the frieght .but if u r having moving average price for that material thenit is not at all preffered

  • [SOLVED] Keyboard issue - fn+key "KeyRelease" event not triggered

    Hi Archers :)
First post, sorry if not in the right section.
I have a quite anoying bug. I bought a no name laptop, imported by Textorm, model M116 SU7300, same model as this one (http://www.textorm.com/pc-portable/pc-p … 22%5D.html)
On the keyboard, the '<' and '>' symbols are mapped on "fn+W" and "fn+MAJ+W".
Everything works fine in a TTY console. All others fn-KEY are working well.
The problem is with a Xorg environment : when pressing fn+W or fn+MAJ+W, it seems that the release key is never triggered, acting like if I was pressing the key in continue.
When pressing another key, the crazy '<' input stop, but then, fn+W won't works again... until I trigger a press/release event with 'acpi_fakekey 86'.
    Then, same scenario.
I booted a live Archbang,  same result (well, I wasn't very surprised), and a live Sabayon... same result.
Using xev, I can see that when pressing/releasing fn+W, the KeyReleased event is never triggered. I can provide a log if needed.
So it seems related to the Xorg driver....
I tryied to use the kbd driver by adding an xorg.conf
    Section "InputDevice"
    Identifier "Generic Keyboard"
    Driver "kbd"
    Option "CoreKeyboard"
    Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
    Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "fr" # "fr-oss" pour Feisty et +
    Option "XkbVariant" "latin9"
    EndSection
    Section "ServerFlags"
    Option "AutoAddDevices" "Off"
    EndSection
I can confirm that the kbd driver was in use with Xorg log :
    [ 900.371] (II) LoadModule: "kbd"
    [ 900.371] (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/input/kbd_drv.so
    [ 900.371] (II) Module kbd: vendor="X.Org Foundation"
    [ 900.371] compiled for 1.14.0, module version = 1.7.0
    [ 900.371] Module class: X.Org XInput Driver
    [ 900.371] ABI class: X.Org XInput driver, version 19.1
[ 900.780] (II) Using input driver 'kbd' for 'Generic Keyboard'
    [ 900.780] (**) Option "CoreKeyboard" "on"
[ 900.780] (**) Generic Keyboard: always reports core events
[ 900.780] (**) Generic Keyboard: always reports core events
    [ 900.780] (**) Option "Protocol" "standard"
    [ 900.780] (**) Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
    [ 900.780] (**) Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
    [ 900.780] (**) Option "XkbLayout" "fr"

[ 900.780] (II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Generic Keyboard" (type: KEYBOARD, id 6)
    ... no luck. Same comportement.
I tryed the xorg-input-evdev git version, no luck. (But if I understand, xorg-input-evdev use kbd as underlying driver?)
    I also tryed xorg-server-dev 1.14.99.1-1
So for now, I use a ugly hack : I mapped "W-W" and "S-W-W" in my openbox rc.xml to execute "acpi_fakekey 86". Nearly working all the time.
I know this isn't directly related to Arch, but if someone has any pointers... I take any ideas.
    Thanks in advance!

    Wow thanks!
I confirm that this is working.
Thanks to your infos, I investigate the udev stuff.
You will have to know the vendor and product name of your machine :
    cat /sys/class/dmi/id/{sys_vendor,product_name}
Thats the strings your udev rule have to match in ENV{DMI_VENDOR} and ATTR{[dmi/id]product_name}.
For me, both was empty, so I use a wildcard :
    ENV{DMI_VENDOR}=="*", ATTR{[dmi/id]product_name}=="*"
Then, you'll have to specify which codes needs to trigger a key release (sames as found with keymap -i)
Add a file in /usr/lib/udev/keymaps/force-release/  whith the hex values (one per line)
    I named mine 'textorm'
    /echo 0x56 > /usr/lib/udev/keymaps/force-release/textorm
And add it in the RUN of your udev rule (not the full file name):
    ENV{DMI_VENDOR}=="*", ATTR{[dmi/id]product_name}=="*", RUN+="keyboard-force-release.sh $devpath textorm"
Knowing your serio ( /sys/bus/serio/devices/serio0), you can test the keyboard-force-release.sh script (the serio parameter HAVE TO NOT begin with /sys/)
    /usr/lib/udev/keyboard-force-release.sh bus/serio/devices/serio0 textorm
You can then check the /sys/bus/serio/devices/serio0/force_release content.
    Works like a charm :)

Free Goods Determination in Sales Order
Free goods has the following limitations:
    - Free goods can only be supported on a 1:1 ratio. This means that an order item can lead to a free goods item. Agreements in the following form are not supported: ‘With material 1, material 2 and material 3 are free of charge‘ or ‘If material 1 and material 2 are ordered at the same time, then material 3 is free of charge‘.
    - Free goods are not supported in combinations with material structures (for example, product selection, BOM, variants with BOM explosion).
    - Free goods are only supported for sales orders with document category C (for example, not quotations).
    - Free goods are not supported for deliveries without reference to a sales order.
    - Free goods cannot be used in make-to-order production, third-party order processing and scheduling agreements.
    - If you defined a free goods for variants in a generic article (only SAP Retail), you can only process the variants in the purchase order and goods receipt individually (as single articles). In other words, you cannot process them using the generic article matrix.
    4.6x
Not all Sales Order can be used for free goods determination.  You have to check the SD document category if it does not work.  Only category 'C' are supported.  Check transaction VOV8.
Assume that you want to configure an inclusive FREE goods routine.  Customers must order a minumum quantity of 5 before any free goods can be assign.  For every quantity of 3, the customer will be given 1 free goods.
WC07 - Maintain Number Range Intervals
    e.g.
    No   From number       To number

In this example, if you create a Sales Order for a quantity of 10, SAP will prompt you 7 as the customer order qty and 3 will be free.  Customer only pay for the 7 quantity.
    Free goods –
Free goods play a large role in price negotiations with your customers. As a result, free goods are determined to be placed in sales document automatically. In retail, chemical industry or consumer goods industry, it is common to provide discounts in the form of free goods.
Inclusive Bonus Quantities – Free goods can be part of order quantity not included in the invoice (billing). This is called inclusive bonus quantity. The ordered goods and the free goods both involve the same material. The quantity units of the free goods and the ordered goods must be the same.
Exclusive Bonus Quantities – Free goods that take the form of extra goods that are free of charge are called exclusive bonus quantities. In this case, the extra bonus quantities are not typically included in the invoice (billing). This can either be an additional quantity of the goods ordered or it can be another article. The exclusive free of goods appear in the SD document as an individual ‘free of charge’ item.
Both types of free goods are treated in the same way in the sales order. The material that has been ordered is entered as a main item (TAN) and the free item (TANN) is automatically displayed as a sub item. The item category determines how the item is controlled later in the business process.
The system re-reads the free goods master record in the sales order if the quantities in the main item change or if the pricing date changes. The system then deletes the sub items and re-creates them. Any manual changes to the free goods quantity are lost.
Note: If pricing is re-run in the sales order, it does not affect the free goods determination.
The condition technique is used for free goods. Free goods are generally regarded as a supplement to the pricing agreement for a material. You can define master records for free goods at any level such as material, customer/material, price list category/currency/material or customer hierarchy/material. The transaction code is VBN1 and condition type – NA00 which automatically gets converted into R100 during sales document processing.
You can restrict a free goods condition master record for one level in many ways –
    a. Validity period: the condition is only valid within this period
    b. Lowest quantity: the condition comes into affect when this quantity has been exceeded.
    c. Delivery control:
    d. Calculation type:
    e. Scales
You can process different master data with the same key for inclusive and exclusive bonus quantities at the same time. You only need to press a button to switch between two types of discount. When you enter an exclusive bonus quantity, an extra entry line appears where you can enter the free material if it is not the same as the ordered material.
When you specify a calculation rule, you decide how the system determines the free goods quantity in the sales order from the additional and document quantities.
    a. The free goods quantity is the quantity that is calculated from the discount quantity (not the minimum quantity)
    b. Additional quantity is the quantity delivered free of charge
    c. Document quantity is the quantity entered by the person creating the sales order.
Three calculation rules are provided by the system i.e.
Prorated – the system calculates the free goods in right proportion to document the quantity. For example – if 20 units are offered for free for 100 units in the condition record and the customer orders 162 units, then the system calculates 162 * 20/100 (rounded off) as free goods.
Related to units – 20 units are given for free for every 100 units ordered. In the above case the customer would only get 20 units free as he placed an order for 162 units.
Whole units – the customer would not get any free goods if he doesn’t match the exact quantity proposed. That is, in the above case, the customer doesn’t get any free goods as the ordered quantity did not match 100 units. Anything below or over the mark will not be qualified for a free good.
Calculation rules are stored in the system in the form of ABAP/4 code. You can also define your own rules by using transaction code VOFM (system modifications).
The free goods determination procedure contains a list of condition types for the free goods. One access sequence is assigned to each condition type and each access sequence contains one ore more accesses and each access contains exactly one table. This represents the search key that the system uses to search for valid condition records.
The free goods determination procedure is assigned to sales area + document pricing procedure + customer pricing procedure just as in the case of pricing procedure assignment as free goods are generally regarded as a supplement to the pricing agreement for a material.
If the search is successful, the system generates a sub item for free goods in the document. The item category is assigned with the item category usage FREE.
You can activate an analysis of the free goods determination in the sales document. The system then displays detailed information on how the free goods were determined.

The customer wishes not to take the free goods and asks for a discount equivalent to the value of free goods, please advise on steps to be undertaken in this scenario.

Why dont u use "Pricing For Inclusive Free Goods Without Item Generation"
To do this, you can use the standard condition type NRAB. It is set up as follows:
It does not determine the discount from the condition record. It uses condition basis formula 029 in the pricing procedure to determine a discount from the free goods factor.
The condition receives the new pricing requirement 059 in the pricing procedure. This requirement checks whether free goods have already been determined.
The condition type receives condition category f. This condition category ensures that the condition is redetermined every time the quantity is changed, since this can also mean a change to the free goods quantity.
Hope this helps & Rewrad if does

  • Recalculation of quantity in free goods for return order wrf to invoice

    Hello everyone,
I want to recalculate quantity of free goods category in a return order created with reference to an invoice, if the quantity in the High Level Item Category has changed.
For example, a customer bought 100 boxes of product "A " and received 10 of these for free. Then he wants to return 60 boxes. When I create a return order with reference to the invoice and change these quantity from 100 to 60, free goods item category still shows 10 boxes instead of 6.
Recalculation must be take place acording to the pricing date determination in order to apply free goods in a valid date.
    Customized features reviewing:
    1. There's not Item Category Proposal for Target Sales Doc type of the Return order, but item category of source bill type has one an is set to Pricing Type "D".
    2. High Level Item category of free goods category is relevant for billing and is set to M "Delivery - related invoices-no zero qtys (in main bath items)"
    3. Free goods category assigment has NORM as item Category Group, FREE ussage, High Level Item category is determinated for return order document type and Item category by default is the free goods category.
I will appreciate your support to solve this issue.
    Best Regards,
    Andrea Figueroa

    Hello,
    Thank you for your response.
My Discount Type of Free Goods determination is set to:
Calculation Rule: "2 - Unit reference"
Free Goods Category: "1 - Inclusive rebate (with item generation)"
Free Goods delivery control: "C - Delivery of main item is part. delivered, only with main item"
However, whatever the calculation rule is, if I change the quantity in the main item, subitem does not work.
I read about SAP Note 573598 that describes perfectly my problem, but is valid in 4.6 to 4.7 version and I have ERP version.
    Thank for your help,
    Andrea Figueroa
