Free goods linked to volume

Hello,
Any body has faced with this requirement.
Free good to be given to customer by calculating the total volume in the sales order. For e.g. in the sales order, multiple products
are entered, and if the customer shall qualify for Free goods, the total volume upliftment should be around 1000 KL(combining
the volume of all the material).
In the standard Free goods, it is 1:1 facility. volume checking etc. is not supported.
Has anybody implemented such process. Grateful, if the idea is shared.

Casimer

  • Free goods in Retail

    Hi
These are scenario for Beverage business- mostly they have complicated promotion on free gifts which I think SAP ERP SD cannot cover it. I also check Promotion in retail and found out, if it's discount - it can handled but for free goods - there is similar to ERP Sales. If anyone can take a look at the below case and share with me whether IS-Retail can handle it or any idea how to handle it as now I can only think of custom development.
This is pretty much general scenario in Thailand, not only beverage but wholesales & distribution but I don't think SAP ERP can handle it smoothly.
    1. Buy soda water size 10 oz regardless of soda taste (coke, orange, grape) for 1 pack (1 pack consist of 24 bottles) then get 1 bottle free.
    2. Buy soda water size 10 oz regardless of soda taste for 1 pack, then get 1 bottle free - maximum at 2 sets.
    3. Buy soda water either size 10 oz or 15 oz for 1 pack, get 1 bottle of 10 oz free
    4. Buy soda water regardless of soda taste as set i.e. for every 36 packs of combine size 10 oz, 15 oz and 1 lt - get free items of 10 oz/15 oz for 2 bottles per pack and free item of 1lt for 1 bottle per pack
    5. Similar to 4 with additional condition that 1 soda taste must be more than 50%  - for example, it must be coke at least 50%
    6. Sales quota - Buy 1 pack, get 1 bottle free - maximum 100 bottles for each customer

    HI,
    1. Use txn VBK1 to create a bonus buy condition
    2. In SAP Retail, we can create % Off Conditions, Absolute Off Conditions as standard promotion conditions, Special Price Conditions.
    3. You can also can create Bonus Buy: Price, Bonus Buy: % Discount, Bonus Buy: Absolute Discount and Bonus Buy: Free Goods conditions.
For Example: Buy 4 Get 1 Free Article is a Bonus Buy condition. for this try In VBK1, use Discount Type BB04 to configure bonus buy.

  • Free Goods check box in PO, for Services

    Hello,
Is there any way to activate the Free goods checkbox for Services (item category 'D') in Purchase Order.
This field seems not to be available in the screen layout.
    Your support is highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Vijay.

    Hi,
Per SAP Note 0000634395, activation of Free Goods Check box for services in not possible.
Though there is an option to make the services unaccountable, by marking the service as contingency item in the service details from the services tab.
The subitem total is the aggregate of the subitem net values. This subitem total excludes subitems marked as contingency or alternate lines.

  • Free goods of different material

    Hi Experts,
I have mapped free goods scenario in our system. Its working well for inclusive and exclusive free goods for same material. i.e. If I have a material M1 ordered for 100 units I will get 10 units of the same material M1 free(Exclusive) and two line items generated TAN and TANN.
Similarly for inclusive condition,We have a material A1. If one orders 100 units of A1 he has to pay for 90 units only(TAN) and the remaining 10 units (TANN) comes for free.
Now I want to set up the system in such  a manner that If the customer orders a material R1 of 100 units he will get material R2 of 10 units for free.
How do we do this setting? In NA00 itself? If yes please tel me the steps involved.
    Regards,
    Randhir

    Hi,
    Please find the info below.
    1.      Free goods can only be supported on a 1:1 ratio. This means that an order item can lead to a free goods item. Agreements in the following form are not supported: 'With material 1, material 2 and material 3 are free of charge' or 'If material 1 and material 2 are ordered at the same time, then material 3 is free of charge'.
    2.      Free goods are not supported in combinations with material structures (for example, product selection, BOM, variants with BOM explosion).
    3.      Free goods are only supported for sales orders with document category C (for example, not quotations).
    4.      Free goods are not supported for deliveries without reference to a sales order.
    5.      Free goods cannot be used in make-to-order production, third-party order processing and scheduling agreements.
    6.      If you defined a free goods for variants in a generic article (only SAP Retail), you can only process the variants in the purchase order and goods receipt individually (as single articles). In other words, you cannot process them using the generic article matrix

  • Free goods with every line item

    Dear All,
I have requirement like whenever i create a sale order specific Division ,1% of the order quantity sholud go for free,
EX : if Product A order quantity is 10
then system automatically should give Product A quantity 1 for free.
How to Map this ,this requirement is not specific to customer specifi ,this is specifi to Divison.
So if anyone know about this please help me out.

    Hi,
Yes do follow the points mentioned above and also make sure you maintain the following settings in the condition record:
To demonstrate as given in your example:
Go to VBN1 tcode and give the Free goods Condition Type - NA00 and then select your key com, bination as:
Sales Org / Distirbution Channel / Division
    Then maintain :
                     Miniumum quantity   = 10 pieces
Free goods quantity = 10 pieces
Free goods agreed  = 1 Piece
Doc. quantity (sale sorder Qty)  =  5 pieces: No free goods - See minimum quantity
If                                             = 20 pieces: 2 pieces free goods
*General Formula                      = document quantity / free goods quantity * free goods*

  • Free goods in Sale order

    Hi All
We have invoiced few materials but the accounting entries are not generated due to price error. Here the product hierarchy is missing for the main item and the sub item(free goods). I am not able to edit the sub item product hierarchy in invoice or in sale order. Please give me the solution for this so that I will be able to update the product hierarchy for the sub item.

    Hi
I just tested it and it seems standard behavior. When there is a sub item in sale order in free goods system is doesn't allow to change any material group, material description, condition group and some other fields. This is logical because this material is now linked to main item and during order processing user shouldn't be able to make changes in order for sub item which is free.
Now what you can do is that if this is only for this one order you can delete the line items from sale order and enter product hierarchy in free good's material master data. System will fetch this information from there and it will be automatically filled.
Another work around is that delete line item of free goods and add that material again. Now in Hl Itm (Higher Level Item) field give item number of main item which probably in your case will be 10. System will make this item free based on your item category determination settings and you will be able to make changes in product hierarchy field.
    Thank$

  • Free Goods Flow in Return Sales Order

    Dear Experts,
I have a question that is how to make the free good item(TANN in order and RENN in returns) flow automatically in the return sales order along with the REN items. Does it involve item category proposal in copy control for billing document to sales document.
Presently free item of preceeding billing document is not getting copied to my return order. Please inform us the config steps for the same.

  • Free goods is issued, but R100 discount is not triggered in proforma invoic

    hi all,
free goods is determined in sales order with 100%discount for the free item, but in the proforma invoice (F5) the free item is coming with price. in copy controls between sales order and proforma invoice(F5) the pricing type is G "copy pricing elements unchanged and redetermine taxes. the item category is pricing with 100% discount.
    thanks in advance

    Hi
Free goods in sales order is picked mainly from condition type R100 thro your sales order Pricing Procedure( both inclusive or exclusive)
If you go to the details of R100 in V/06 there wont be access sequence
This R100 mainly works on requirement 55 in the pricinig procedure and alternate base value formula 28
that means this works on special ABAP routines
May be these routines might have a link  to proforma  billing type thro doc category proforma in VOFA details for F8 which makes this R100 as ineffective and hence prices are reflected there
Again these values are not going get carried to any GL accounts as this is a proforma only

  • Automatically adding free goods in SO

I have a finished good that I would like to sell with a third-party free good. I have set up both materials in MM. How do I link the 2 together such that when I create a SO for the finished good, the free good will be added automatically? Is there any special settings to do in MM for the free good? I have set the free good item category to BANS (3rd party item) and external procurement.

    Hi johntan,
As per my understanding, standard functionality does not support free goods determination in sales order for third party processing.

  • Free goods and order types

    Hello,
    1) If company is providing free goods, then will it be associated for order type or with pricing condition.
for e.g. On purchase of 100 qty. if 10% foods are free, then how is this associated.
    2) Also if i want to provide free goods only for a particular customer group, lets say wholesale, then how will it be associated
with pricing conditions and order type.
    Regards

    Hi,
    There are two cases:-
1.Ur company is providing free goods as a sample.
2.If some customer buys some quantity of product u provide some free goods with it.
    1st Case:-
if u want goods to b send as a free sample then u can directly use TANN item category with doc type or .
    2nd Case :
Free goods is something that the customer is given after he buys certain quantity of the product/material.
Free goods is a strategy to increase sales volume by luring the customer that if he buys 10 products one will be absolutely free.
Free Goods:Goods that are given as additional goods as part of the ordered goods are called as free goods. Here the unit of measure of free goods should be the same as standard goods.
Example:If you are are ordering 10 maggi sauce bottle you will be paying for only 8 bottles 2 is given as freegoods.
price will not be reflected in pricing or billing.this is inclusive freegoods
    Exclusive freegoods.
wherein the freegoods are given as additional good to that of the ordered goods
Example:For 4 coffee vending machine 1 kg coffee powder isgive as free goods
Sample goods:these are the goods which are given as pert of the promotional activity to increase the sales.
here the customer is not paying money.
Free goods - In SAP there are two types Exclusive and Inclusive.
Exclusive - Buy 2 and get 1 free. This means you have to buy minimum 2 pieces then on that you will get 1 piece absolutely free.
Inclusive - Buy 2 get 1 free. In this case it means you are paying for only 1 item and the other item is absolutely free.
    Configuration:
IMG - Sales & Distribution - Basic Functions - Free Goods - condition technique for free goods -
    1. create the condition table(Take one field as customer group also if u want to provide free goods only for a particular customer group).
    2. maintain access sequence and assign the condition table to the access sequence.
    3. maintain condition type and assign the access sequence to the condition type.
    4. maintain the procedure for free goods and assign the condition type to the free goods procedure.
    5. Activate free goods determination. In this enter sales org., dis channel, division , docu pri pro, cust pri pro and the free goods procedure.
    6. now go to VBN1 - create free goods determination. Select your condition type, key combination and enter. Here you enter sales org, dis channel, customer no., Valid from and Valid to dates. Then you first select whether it is exclusive or inclusive free goods determination. By default it will be inclusive if you click on exclusive it will become exclusive and on top it will display inclusive. Here you enter minimum quantity for free goods and from what order quantity the number of free goods. You can control the delivery also in the second last column(free goods delivery control).
Save the record. Go to VA01 create the sales order , enter the item and the minimum quantity for free goods .
    Thanks & Regards,
    Deepaks

  • Free Goods Purchasing in contracts (agreements)?

    Hello Gurus,
I've seen that a Free Goods configuration is possible using Info Record fields (Info record category,...).
Is it possible to use these conditions in the contracts (ME33K)??
    Thanks!
    Marc

    Hello Ramesh,
Again, many thanks for this. I think I'm close to understand the solution.
However, I have still few questions please:
1.- If I select the PB00 as you say, then I go to 'Extras/Free Goods the system guides me to the condition record change (TC MBN2). Is this correct?
2.- Where will I be able to see the NR00? Will it be directly in the Purchase Order?
3.- If the NR00 condition can not be seen in the contract (ME33k) conditions, where can I see that the Free Goods is correctly set up for a concrete contract?
4.- Is it necessary to link the Group for Calculation Schema (Purchasing Organization) to the Procedure for discount in kind determination (NR0001) in the customizing? IMG/Material Management/Purchasing/Discount in Kind/Define and Assign Discount-in-Kind Schema/Determine Free Goods Schema
    Thanks!!
