Free Goods Promotions for Retail.

Hi SAP Retail Xperts.
Actually I am working with Promotions for retail industry, and I am using the transaction WAK1, in order to create them.
Our client, work with free goods (exclusive bonus quantity) and I can see that the WAK1 transaction has a view for that, but the Create Free Goods button IS NOT  active.
Does anybody knows how could I active it. If it is active, I will be able to create a Free Goods exclusive bonus quantity from WAK1 transaction???.
Thanks in advance.
Manuel

Hi Machacon,
Create Promotion in WAK1.Enter Articles in fast entry tab,Quantity in
Quantity Planning tab, site groups in site group tab.Save your promotion.
Go to your newly created Promotion in change WAK2, now you go to Free goods tab
where you can see free goods button in active form.
Hope this help you.

  • Promotion number in the sales order for free goods promotion.

    Hi,
I have a business scenario in which "Sales Orders are created" for the customers in SAP IS Retail System.(This is for helpdesk ordering). In most of the occasions, free goods promotion would be running. The free goods promotions(exclusive) are maintained using promotion module in IS Retail system(condition type NA00). In this situation, the promotion number is not getting populated in the sales order automatically. Is there any specific configuration required or any BADI needs to be activated?
Note: Free goods item is getting generated automatically in the sales order with item category TANN.
    Can any one advice pls.

As you know the document category for Inquiry is A and quotation is B. So it will not work for them.

  • Free goods master for STO or workaround to meet this requirement

    Dear Gurus,
I use IS-retail and the situation we faced is we have got a deal from our vendor that if we buy article A will get article B for free. So we set a free goods master using condition type NR00. It work fine in purchase order we order to our vendor however when we create STO to distirbute product from our DC to store, there are no free goods concept in STO.
Does anyone have a solution for this issue or workaround for this?
we would like to have a subitem (Free goods item)pop up automatically when create STO from DC to store for the main article.
Is there a way to goods issue for sto with no cost for free goods article?
    Regards
    Mintoo

    Dear Varun,
I already tried and found that In STO , The free goods indicator is disable (suppress) unlike in normal PO. There might be a reason for this.  Do you any workaround on this?
    Dear Venkat,
is there a way to use free goods master instead of using BOM. Our SD told that they need to change configuration to serve the sales set???

  • Complicated Free goods scenario for Beverage

    Hi
These are scenario for F&B business - mostly they have complicated promotion on free gifts which I think SAP standard cannot cover it. If any of you has the similar cases, please share how you handle it, thanks.
    1. Buy soda water size 10 oz regardless of soda taste for 1 pack (1 pack consist of 24 bottles) then get 1 bottle free.
    2. Buy soda water size 10 oz regardless of soda taste for 1 pack, then get 1 bottle free - maximum at 2 sets.
    3. Buy soda water either size 10 oz or 15 oz for 1 pack, get 1 bottle of 10 oz free
    4. Buy soda water regardless of soda taste as set i.e. for every 36 packs of combine size 10 oz, 15 oz and 1 lt - get free items of 10 oz/15 oz for 2 bottles per pack and free item of 1lt for 1 bottle per pack
    5. Similar to 4 with additional condition that 1 soda taste must be more than 50%  - for example, it must be coke at least 50%
    6. Sales quota - Buy 1 pack, get 1 bottle free - maximum 100 bottles for each customer
Please kindly share your experience or ideas. Thank you
    Chanchana

    HI Chanchana,
I had a similar problem while configuring Free goods in Ceramic Industry(Sanitaryware division).
For Eg: In the case of wash-basins, basins of different colors are defined as different materials, an the requirement was to
    2 Black & 2 red = 1 tap free
    or
    1 red, 1 white & 1 black = 2 taps free.
We did a lot of R&D considering std SAP free goods scenario, out of which I can conclude the following:
    1) Std SAP allows only 1 + 1(Same material, inclusive) or 1 + 1(different material, exclusive) to be configured as free goods.
In your case if the main material and the free goods are defined as two different materials and there is no 3rd material coming into picture only then free goods config will work.
For Eg: For 10qty Material A, 1 qty of material A free - possible
                For 10qty of material A, 1qty of material B free - possible
For 10qty of Material A, 5 qty of Material B, 1qty of Material C free- not possible in std SAP.
You can convince this to your client, but if they still insist on having the same, you will have to develop a custom 'Z' application which will control the same. However, the same might turn out to be very complex, since pricing, COGS of the free material has to be taken care of along with a lot of other factors. Also the delivery and billing has to go through std SAP, mapping of which will be complex again.
    All the best.

  • Bonus buy free goods: 1 for free

    Hi colleagues!
I could not find the way how to create a bonus buy representing such conditions as: buy 2 pcs of A get 1 pcs of B for free.
It is very easy to setup conditions like: buy 2 pcs of A, get 1 pcs of A for free.
So, the question is: how to create a bonus buy giving to customer 1 pcs of bonus article if e.g. he bought another article.
I using this functionality in Promotion Planning process, but the condition handling, I think, is the same for all bonus buy usage cases.
I would be grateful for help,
    Igor Malyshev

    Hi,
don't get confused with bonus buy. Bonus buy is basically like - you buy 1 product and get the other product at a lesser price. This is bonus buy.
    Free Goods:
Inclusive - buy 2 get 1 free. The main item and the free goods item are the same.
Exclusive - buy 2 & get 1 free. The main item is different than the free goods item.
So if you want to give free goods item different than the main item use free goods determination - EXCLUSIVE only.
    Reward points if solution helps.

  • Free goods failed for reason 3

    Hello Gurus,
I have create inclusive free good condition record with following data,
             material : t-atc01
             customer: t-s62a01
             sales area: 1000/10/00
all free good determination data has been defined
so I create a sales order with this material for this customer, and I opened analysis for free good determination.  there is no free good displayed.   following message showed:
" free goods could not be determined for item 000010 ( reason 3)"
I checked this reason . it is ' bill of material". but ordered material is not BOM. and I also tried with other material and customer. the result is the same. please tell me how to fix it ?
    thanks very much!

    hello, friend.
many reasons for this, but it may help you to first look in 2 places:
    1.  look for any existing BOM for the material
    2.  look at your access sequences, and it may be telling the system to check in BOM records... also, try removing the division from your access sequence as this sometimes interferes with the access based on material.
if these do not work for you, post again.
    regards.

  • Multiple free goods determination for one item

    Hi All
I have a requirement in free goods functionality as explained below:
When one product is purchased, system should propose 2 or 3 products as free goods.
But as per standard SAP, only one free item is possible (it is either an Exclusive or Inclusive).
I would request you all to provide some ideas to full fill this requirement.
A quick reply is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
    Usage of Calculation Types
You can use calculation types to define that certain free goods are granted when a particular quantity of products is ordered. If, however, a customer orders a lesser or greater quantity than the defined quantity, you can determine which free goods should be granted by selecting from the types provided by default.
The following types, which you can define in the master data, are provided by default:
    ●      Type 1: Proportionate, that is, percentage calculation of free goods
    ●      Type 2: Unit-related
    ●      Type 3: Only for whole units
You grant 10 notebooks as free goods for an order of 100 notebooks. A customer orders 150 notebooks.
    ■       With type 1 the customer would receive 15 notebooks free of charge
    ■       With type 2 the customer would only receive 10 notebooks free of charge
    ■       With type 3 the customer would not receive free goods

  • How to apply free goods seen for all customers ???

    Hi All,
Can anyone please tell me,Is their any difference between for/from in create free goods with inclusive/exclusive option..
    Regards,
    Ashima

    hi,
if you create a free goods with inclusive option the free good item is inclded with the ordered quantity.
    ex
customer has ordered 10 qty of product X
you have a inclusive 2 free goods set up for every 10 qty ordered.
inthis case customer will be billed only for 8 qty of product X and 2 are given for free.
if you create free good with exclusive option the free goods are given in addition to the ordered qty.
    ex
customer ordered 10 qty of product X
you have a exclusive 2 free goods set up for every 10 qty ordered.
In this case customer is billed for the 10 ordered qty but will be delivered 12 qty of product X

  • Free Good scenario for a standalone CRM

    Hello Experts
    We are on CRM 7.0.
I'm trying to configure Free goods determination in CRM sales order TSA. We have
done all the relevant customizing under CRM -> Basic Functions -> Free Goods.
    Free Goods Procedure: 0NA001
    Condition Type: 0NA0
    Access Seq.: 0NA0
    Table: SAP010
We have created the condition master data under transaction /SAPCND/GCM
    with the following parameters:
    Application: PRT
    Maintenance Grp: PRT_FGOODS
When we create a sales order which uses the free goods procedure 0NA001 the system doesn't determine the right product. I would expect a sub item being added automatically under the main item which is part of the offer but nothing happens.
Please revert if anyone knows the settings in CRM
    Thanks
    DJ

    HI,
In Transactions -> Basic Settings> Define Item Category Determination, you need to assign item category TANN e.g
    1. Your Transaction Type
    2. Item Category Group
    3. Item Usage  = FREE Free Goods
    4. Your Main item category group
    5. Item Category = TANN, YTNN
Hope this will resolve your query.
