  • Free Ipod Video Converter for Windows

Ok, a lot of people are talking about using an Ipod converter to switch the format of the video so you can put it on the Ipod. However, when I searched it on google, a bunch came up. Could you help me and tell me which one is the best or better one to use. I heard something about Free iPod Converter (http://www.ipod-video-converter.org/index.html)- (Windows only, good for all) and I went there, but it did not work and showed up at screen that I couldnt go anywhere. Please help.

See this for help: Guide to converting video for iPod (Mac/Windows).

  • PQ DVD to ipod Video Converter

hi i have downloaded a free version of PQ DVD to iPod video converter and it seems ok and i was wanted to know if anyone else had it so that i could use the registry code to save me money. I would greatly appreciate this code
    thanks

Sounds to me like you're asking for someone else's purchased registration code.
Using one code for 2 copies of software is illegal.
    Purchase your own code.

  • Different DVD to iPod Video Converter Software for Mac?

Does anybody know about different DVD to iPod Video Converter Software
    for Mac besides QuikTime Pro?
    Thanks,

Handbrake is the way to go.
Quicktime Pro does not have the ability to rip and convert DVDs.

  • What is the best video converter for DVD to iMovie? Either free or to purchase.

What is the best video converter for DVD to iMovie? Either free or to purchase.  And one that is 'fool-proof' and very easy to use.  Many thanks, anyone who can advise.

You want to 'reverse engineer' the compressed mpeg2 DVD file back to something iMovie can use?
You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:
    http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html
which is free, but you must also have the  Apple mpeg2 plugin :
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/mpeg2/
(unless you are running Lion in which case see below))
    which is a mere $20.
Another possibility is to use DVDxDV:
    http://www.dvdxdv.com/NewFolderLookSite/Products/DVDxDV.overview.htm
    which costs $25.
For the benefit of others who may read this thread:
Obviously the foregoing only applies to DVDs you have made yourself, or other home-made DVDs that have been given to you. It will NOT work on copy-protected commercial DVDs, which in any case would be illegal.
And from the TOU of these forums:
    Keep within the Law
No material may be submitted that is intended to promote or commit an illegal act.
Do not submit software or descriptions of processes that break or otherwise ‘work around’ digital rights management software or hardware. This includes conversations about ‘ripping’ DVDs or working around FairPlay software used on the iTunes Store.
    If you are running Lion:
    From the MPEG Streamclip homepage
The installer of the MPEG-2 Playback Component may refuse to install the component in Lion. Apple states the component is unnecessary in Lion, however MPEG Streamclip still needs it.
To install the component in Lion, please download MPEG Streamclip 1.9.3b7 beta above; inside the disk image you will find the Utility MPEG2 Component Lion: use it to install the MPEG-2 Playback Component in Lion. The original installer's disk image (QuickTimeMPEG2.dmg) is required.
The current versions of MPEG Streamclip cannot take advantage of the built-in MPEG-2 functionality of Lion. For MPEG-2 files you still need to install the QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component, which is not preinstalled in Lion. You don't have to install QuickTime 7.

  • Best video to ipod video converter software

What is the best program I can buy for coverting my dvd's and other videos (including recorded tv shows on my dvr) to ipod video? Thanks.

Hopefully in answer to the many posts on “how to get various video formats onto your iPod” I have put together a summary of applications I use. I have tried a few others with varying amounts of success (some of which are free) - I have finally plumped for the software produced by Xilisoft as providing good quality video relatively affordable cost for use withPC’s and numerous MS operating systems. The link below takes you to their site which not only allows you to download trail versions of their software but also has a comprehensive set of tutorials and FAQ's for their iPod video conversion software.
I have regularly used these applications to convert various file formats to iPod friendly video. They are simple to use although frequently processor and RAM hungry:
Use Xilisoft iPod Video Converter if you want to:
[*]Convert various video file formats to MP4
[*]Convert most audio file formats to MP3
[*]Extract audio from video file and save to MP3
    [*]Encode several files simultaneously
[*]Pause encoding process to run other CPU time consuming programs at any time
    Supported file formats:
    Video:
    [*]MPEG(mpg, mpeg, dat, vob); WMV; ASF; AVI; QuichTime(mov, qt); MPEG4(mp4); 3GP; DV(dv,
    dif); Real Video(rm); Animated GIF(gif - decoding only); Macromedia Flash(swf - decoding
    audio only);
    Audio:
[*]MPEG Audio(mp2, mp3); WMA; WAV; AU; MPEG4 Audio(m4a); Real Audio(ra); OGG; AAC; Raw
    AC3(ac3); NUT Open Container Format(nut);
To convert DVD's to an iPod friendly video format:
Use Xilisoft DVD to iPod V4:
[*]Just pop the DVD in your drive select compression variables (default settings work well) and sit back!
All these products are available on a "try before you buy basis", yes there are applications for XP which are free but and may work just as well but I have converted many hours of video for my iPod without hassle using the Xilisoft products (no I don't work for them!). Check there web site HERE

  • Is it safe to download a "free" youtube video converter for MAC and if so, which one is recommended?

Is it safe to download a "free" Youtube video converter (Ex. "freemake.com") for MAC or is there a better program recommended to convert these videos to DVD?  Thanks!

Youtube's ToU specifically state that downloads of any content is prohibited unless there is a download button available for a particular video.

  • Jodix ipod video converter recked my ipod?

I downloaded jodix ipod video converter so i could convert videos to my ipod. After i converted my video, i tried to play it on my ipod. But when i played it, my ipod turned a dim black and wouldn't respawn. I plugged it in to my computer and it said that the usb was not recognized. How can i get it so that it recognizes my ipod? Need step by step help, not very advanced in this kind of stuff. I tried going to device manager and adding legal hardware, but i couldn't understand it. please need help

Did you try it before before you bought it? If so, make sure you uninstalled the trial version before installing the full version? And if not, why would you pay for it without trying out the trial version first?
I hate to be labeled a spammer, but this was the best converter I tried. But, I only have the DVD converter and not the video converter. I like the fact that it is a one step converter. I don't have to decrypt it first. The audio and video is always in sync, a problem I had with some. It takes less than an hour to convert a 2 hour DVD and I haven't had a problem with any yet.

  • Used ipod video converter but still cant get through the sync.

i change the format of my vids using the ipod video converter which it successfully did it..it changed to mpeg4
but when i tried to sync it, it stated 'there's a problem occurred'..
    what happen??

Try highlighting the video in iTunes. Then go to "Advance" (top menu) and select "Convert to iPod. This will probably help. Then you just sync again.

  • Ipod video converter without all this adware , spyware e.t.c

    Hi again!
I 'm sure that many relative questions will have been asked again but is there any s a f e free video converter for ipod without all this adware types ?
Is it also additionaly available for conversion of flv video types or do I need an extra converter from flv to (e.g.) mpeg ?
In the past I used videora but is seems that it is also suspicious of all this spyware stuff !
If there is not anyone for free, which is your proposal for buying a reliable one including flv conversion ?
    Thanks
