Free Lion update, but already updated

Hi,
A few days ago, i updated my new Mac Book pro to Mac OS 10.7 Lion, and paid with my credit on my apple-id. Today, i've got a mail from my apple reseller, that i may update free to lion, but i didn't know that i may free update my macbook. Is it possible to fill in the form for a free update, and get my money back on my apple-id?
Kind regards,
Matthias Vanspringel

Thank you!
Yes, i mean credit to spend on apps
I will contact Apple, thank you verry much!

  • Help with app update but already updated

    Hi,
I have an app called HulloMail installed, and it has already been updated. However, the app store says it needs to be updated, and shows this in the Updates tab. It's already updated though. Is there any way I can remove this notification? I've tried reinstalling it/uninstalling it, but it insists on updating it when it's already updated.

I also have a simlar problem which occured after selecting a multiple update, unfortunatley i now have an outstanding update showing for i photo where the button is greyed out showing installed, i have been in contact with apple, who gave me a few suggestions including signing in and out, checking for unfinished downloads (initally there was also a red error message next to the update saying download failed) this cleared the error message but the app store still shows there is an outstanding update which is already updated.
    would welcome any further suggestions
    Thanks

  • App store says update but already updated

The App Store on my iMac shows one update as available.  I even get notifications that there is an update available.  The problem is that the app it says has an update has already been updated and it says "Installed".  There seems to be no way to get the App Store to remove it from the Updates page.  It constantly says there is one update available.  Any suggestions?

Iphoto will not open on my Mac. Says updating but no updates running.  Any ideas?

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running? Is your profile correct?
what is the exact message you get when launching iPhoto?
    what fixes have you tried?
    where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
    what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

    Go into your Applications folder
Find the app named Install Mac OS X Lion.app
Move that app to the trash
    relaunch The App Store
    go to your Purchased list
Click on install next to Lion
    It will re-download the installer

I have several ' app updates' on my iPad waiting to be updated, but the update screen is blank. Why? Day 2

It is a problem on Apple's end. If you look around the forum, ther must be a dozen or more discussions going on about it and users were posting the same problem all day today.
Look here..... And just look around on the forum for more.

I download the software update but the update did not installed

Did you do this download on the phone, or in iTunes? If on the phone, after the download did you select install? Same with iTunes, did you select update and install or just download? What did it do? Is anything showing on your phone?

  • I updated operating system to OS X but I have updates for Mountain Lion which are already updated through OS X, can the updates be deleted?

    First Timer
I had Mountain Lion prior. I just updated my operating system to OS X  (Version 10.9.2) last evening. This morning I have updates for Keynote, Numbers and Pages whick were already updated with new OS X. It is not a huge deal, but I have 3 updates showing in APP Store which will not update because they are associated with the old system. This will bother me. Is there a way to remove the old available updates from App Store without removing the newly updated versions?  I am far from a knowledgeable computer person so if there is a solution, could you please respond in simple terms. Thank You.

Do you have a connected external HDD that has the older versions of these apps installed on it?

  • Why does the App Store need to re-update apps already updated since purchase?

I have noticed that the Mac App Store application flags already updated applications as needing updating when the version numbers of the proposed update and the installed application are identical.
For small apps this is not necessarily a huge problem but for big applications it can be an absolute pain as I  have limited band-width at my home address. This costs me time, money (in the case of monthly band-width over-runs) and performance issues.
Is there an easy fix for this? (e.g. tweak / delete a plist file)
    Thanks.

This has been a problem since the beginning of the app store.  Drives me nuts, too.  How long has it been?  And they can't get it right?  Will they ever get it  right? :dunno

  • IPhoto 11 will not open - needs update, but no update

    Hi
My inlaw's have asked me to do a clean install of their Mac.  It's been running slow for the last year.
They use iPhoto as their main photo program with 20,000 photos it it.
Have wipe the HD, installed Snow Leopard and updated to 10.6.8, then downloaded Lion and updates.
Afterwards, installed iLife 11 on to the Mac, but it keeps saying it needs to be updated, but there are NO updates.
I don't really want to do another clean install again and install iLife 11 after installing Snow Leopard rather than Lion.
Is there any other way around this?
    Thanks again,
    Matt

    Go to
    http://support.apple.com/downloads/
Find and download the 9.1 updater. Run it. Then Run Software update again.

  • Built and captured new wim and included all updates but more updates get applied when I build from that wim

EDIT: This is on SCCM 2012 R2 CU3
    (EDIT: simplified title)
I have a task sequence for building reference images from. This runs the Software Updates Step last and seems to work fine. When it completes I reboot the target machine then do a capture to wim (using the SCCM capture iso).
I import the new wim and link it to the GOLD build task sequence, but when I build from from it the machine tries to install another bunch of updates.
The OS I'm building is 2008 R2 SP1. I have all updates from year 2008 deployed to the right collection.
Why does it try to install more updates??
I was considering using SCCM to install the updates directly into the WIM but I'm no longer convinced it will work. I just want a gold image, built from scratch, with all updates in it.
    Andy

P1: Agreed. I didn't do a very good job of explaining myself.
I have failed to get the multiple "install updates" methods to work at all, though I would love it to work. For Server 2008 installs the process gets stuck for 20mins on the "Detecting Updates..." stage, and loops round again to download
the same set of updates it did the previous time never reboots, and gets stuck at "Detecting Updates" again. For server 2012 installs it seems to work but it never get all the updates, even after 5 loops of the install updates step.
I've read sp many posts saying they've got the multiple "install updates" method to work fine. I've tried building my Task Sequence to be exactly as posted by several different people. I've also tried my own improvements. The result is the
same every time, so I don't think there is a problem with the TS.
Thanks for you feed back. It is useful to know it "can" work as it implies there is a problem someone (either with me or SCCM). You help is appreciated.
    Thanks.
As a side note, I'm going to make a new post for the following. I did a bit of further digging and it seems like this might be related to why the above is not working....
I've built a 2012 and a 2008 server with a single "install updates" step in the task sequence. When the build is finished I then run windows updates within the OS. The result is "No More Updates Found", I felt this was suspicions
as there were no were near enough updates installed already. I then pointed the machines at Microsoft's update servers and, bingo, it finds more updates. I assumed these updates where missing from my Updates Package in SCCM but that turned out to
be wrong, they are right there, distributed to the DP, and deployed to the right collection.
As far as I understand it, you don't need to touch the WSUS console, but seeing as I didn't build this SCCM environment, I thought I would check it out anyway. It looks like WSUS may have been partly configured directly at some point, rather letting
SCCM to it all. Example: I searched in the WSUS console for appoved updates and found 6 old ones (2003 server and XP) approved for Install. A further search found 421 "Declined" updates. Everything else is marked "Not Approved".
Does any of this matter if SCCM is supposed to be managing it? Should I trash WSUS and the SCUP and reinstall it, or is there something else I should be doing?

  • An app I downloaded is no longer showing up on my screen. The app store shows thar it needs to be updated, but the update bottom is colored light, not dark.

I downloaded Pandora a while back. My 12 year old nieces were playing with my iPad and now the Pandora icon is not on my screen. The app store shows that it needs to be updated, but I can't do it. What can it do to recover my Pandora program?

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, my query is not so much about the sale of the company and the dream. I agree with you on that point. Good for them. My frustration is that this old app has now caused a glitch in my Apple App Store icon. I have a red badge with one update and it is referring to the old app that has been sold that needs to be updated. When I try to update the app it says no longer available for purchase. So I have since deleted that app in hopes that it would resolve the red badge issue. It has not. Somehow, that old app and the new app with the same name but by a different company has caused the glitch. I have reset all settings on my iPad, I have rebooted, I have deleted the app and still the red badge with the one update for the old app is there. Hmmm. . . I guess I need to take this into the Genius bar or wait for ios 7 in hopes that it will fix the glitch. Thanks again for your help.

  • IMovie tells me there is an update, but Software Update says I'm up to date

When I start iMovie it says I should update to version 8.0.4 but when Software Update opens it says everything is up to date. What gives?

I regularly have the same problem with Software Update. I'll get a message from an application (like iTunes) saying new software is available, but when I run Software Update I get the message "Your software is up to date."
I know I can manually download these updates, but why is Software Update missing these updates?
