Free month trial - still charged

I got my first month free trial, but it still charged me money?? Please help!

What you describe typically occurs when we start a trial subscription and do not cancel it early enough, so as to prohibit automatic renewal.  As is explained in this FAQ article, subscriptions do renew automatically by default:

To clarify, cancelling a subscription does not cancel effective the date the cancellation is processed, but rather takes effect at the end of the subscription's term.
If you have not used the subscription, you may contact Skype customer service to request a refund.  (The words in blue type are links to instructions on how to do each item.)

  • Skype free month trial

    If you take my money you should be reachable. I am not completely stupid but I've been online for half an hour trying to figure out how to contact someone from Skype. Instant chat says a new window has opened for chat with customer support but it has not opened. You charged my account two days early for this [offensive text removed] service that I was going to cancel today. Waste of time and money how do I actually contact Skype to tell them as such. [offensive text removed] I am angry at wasting my time and money.

    I started a 3 month free trial of spotify premium on June 4 and wanted to know when it ends( does it include the month of June)?

  • I download free game, it still charge me money

    I download a free blackjack get 300000 coin   LEE SUNJA  and they charge me $49.99 , I just click coin button and it appears $49.99; $29.99 $19.99. it did not reminder me I will be charge in my credit card to click these choice. because this is  a free game i do not think it will charger my credit card, i was cheated as a new comer.

    That's how they make money.  The game is free.  The things you need to play it cost you money.

    As long as the LCI's (liquid contact indicator) are good. They will not charge you.

    Your account shoes that you already have an Unlimited World Subscription which was created on Feb 5th 2013 and is charged annually. A second Unlimited World Subscription for 1month                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       wascreated on March 23rd 2014 and financed through your credit card.
    If this second Plan should have been a free trial please contact Skype customer service

  • Free broadband trial with 18 months contract!?????

    I've recently signed to a FREE broadband trial over the phone. Although I was very careful the follow-up e-mail came with the 18 months line rental contract I haven't signed for. Are these trials genuine? Anyway, my e-mail (sent within 24 hours)asking to cancel the service (cooling-off period) received the following replay:
    "IMPORTANT -Please note that it is important that any reference in communications from BT indicating charges or contract terms should be disregarded. The Fibre to the Home Broadband trial is free of charge and with no contract tie in. We apologise for any confusion and inconvenience."
    Well, how come my current bill is 19.90? and, more importantly - do I or don't I have a contract with BT?
    If yes, then how come? and how can I / can't I change this?
    My disappointment is great.

    This sounds correct. The price seems wrong as its somewhere in the region of £26 with a bill credit for the same amount. You will find you bill becomes very messy with charges and credits.
    You will get free installation, broadband but not phoneline so this could be the charge and any contract will be for the phone. However the FTTH Broadband only trial has ended and as long as you order was before 11 November the you will be fine. BT will be charging for the service after 31 Dec.
    There is no 'contract' on the trial but read the conditions carefully!
    For some users the trials are continuing due to certain other issues and services you will know if that applies to you.

    Hey, problem solved. One of the drives was faulty. I erased the 2nd drive (which was showing up as the degraded raid slice), deleted the RAID set and restored the 2nd drive from a back-up disk image. After that, when I booted using 'option' I was presented with two boot disks but only one that worked. And when it did boot  up only the reformatted disk was showing in Diskutil so I'm guessing the second one is knackered. With it still in place the server still wouldn't boot up from a full shutdown, but the moment it was removed it booted up no probs. Wakes up from sleep as well so it seems sorted.
    So now just need to decide whether I'll bother with replacing the second drive or just use an external back-up. I have just bought a 1TB drive to back up to so will probably just go with that.
    Btw, is there anyway I can test the drive I removed to see if can be saved?

     I canceled my spotify " .99 cent for 3 months" subscription before the trial subscription ended and I was still charged the $9.99 premium on paypal. I canceled my subscription a day before it was scheduled to end. I need a refund.

    I last purchased product at the release of cs3 and was not allowed to register the software 'because I had had it too long' ... yes, I had several episodes with the Big C and Adobe didn't honour their sale obligations ... should take the case to the Ombudsman ...

    If a customer has purchased an earlier full version of product Adobe ought register that product so that it can be use. I purchased product and the tech who looked after the registration which enables you to use the product would not enable the software for use because there was a lag between purchase and request for activation.
    Your comment about contacting whoever made the offer of access for attending the presentations is what doesn't make sense because there appears to be no way of contacting the organisers.

    If this app has an automatically renewing subscription, as it seems it does, you have to unsubscribe. Just deleting the app will not do it. See:

    I'm not sure of it's still possible to choose 'None' under payment method. Besides, I'm sure you would like to be able to buy paid Apps as well.
    Try edit your payment information from a PC/Mac instead of your phone.
    Open iTunes > Choose 'iTunes Store' > Upper right corner, select your account or 'Sign in' > (When signed in) Click your account and go to 'Settings'.
    Make sure your credit card qualify for use in the Apple Store.
