It does not sound like you know what you are talking about. There are at least two important speeds: development time and execution time. Development time for a given task is proven significantly faster with LabVIEW and, properly programmed (!), execution time is very comparable to any other programming language. For very time critical tasks, you can even go to dedicated hardware such as FPGA.

There is the LabVIEW home bundle for non-commercial use. Very cheap! For commercial applications its cost is well worth it.

LabVIEW is very widely used in industry and there will always be a secure local option. This idea was about a learning environment, not something for serious development.

Hi,
Tuxedo is unable to make any HTTPS calls other than SOAP/HTTPS. So if you are using web services, then SALT can perform SOAP/HTTPS calls, although I don't believe we support the message signing feature of WS-Security (although you might want to check the SALT 10gR3 or later documentation.)
We are considering adding support for HTTP/HTTPS directly in Tuxedo, but that feature is not available in any current version of Tuxedo. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

Free online classes

Does HP still offer Free Online Classes? This page has a link, but it requests authentication, and I don't have the right access apparently. The link is on the left navigation under Explore.

I used to enjoy the free online classes at the HP Learning Center, but things have changed. I would enjoy taking some classes again, and am looking for various topics besides printing.

Apparently, from numerous phone calls to HP folks, they no longer have free online classes for ordinary customers. I didn't speak with anyone who even remembered them, nor could they get me to anyone who would know or remember them. That not only dates me, it tells me of the turnover in their staff. My last email regarding the classes at the Learning Center was dated November 2011 - just a bit over two years ago.
It seems the link you provided is for employees of certain companies who arrange for their employees to be certified in HP things. I had tried various means to log on to the ExpertOne area with no luck. Again, after calls that bounced from one person to another, it seems I don't have access.
It was nice while it lasted. I took some classes before that were very helpful in my sole proprietor business, as well as personal and creative things.
HP needs to at least remove that link and any others that imply they have free classes now for ordinary people... ones who use their products for creative purposes at home or in small businesses (real small businesses).

Nope. All that a person with that problem should have to do is just update their iPod firmware to 1.1.1 with the newest updater, as that issue has been resolved in the latest firmware.

Recommend a free online book

I read the tutorial on Java Security but I couldn't understand it. I think I have to know first what authentication, authorization, SSL (and other related matters) are and how they work. I already did a seach on google for this but there are many. Please recommend to me any free online book (for novice) where I can get a basic knowlege about security and how they works. Every time I click on a link from my university online learning module, i lose my link back to the universitry site and then have to login into the uni site again. How do I fix this annoying problem?

Whene using a link supplied from a university online learning mode, the link appears immediatly, HOWEVER, i then lose the university page and have to login in again. I find myself having to re login multiple times as I need to go into several links, several ltimes a day.

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. friggin tutorial... I thought the people here might
know which ones were better than others...That's why I provided you with a link that would show you some of the answers others have gotten when they asked for the best tutorial. Just copy that link into the address bar of your favorite browser and you can see what the people on the forum thought was the best tutorial. You dont' have to search. I have done it for you and analyzed the results to maximize your efforts here on the forum. If you want, I could restrict the results to only the threads which were posted in the last month so that you will get more up to date information. I could even go out and see if any tutorials have been put online in the past few days in case there is some really new and up to date information you might miss with the tutorials the people here have provided.

Those were helpful clips. I think the short clips (the tips) could have been a little more informative about the differences, though. No mention of the lack of the Ken Burns effect in Aperture or that zooming in Aperture consists of either full size or zoom-to-fit versus the continuous zoom slider in iPhoto. I miss both of these iPhoto features.

How can I download free online games and be assured they are virus free?

Firefox usually will require you to approve installing an add-on (particularly an extension), because they have access to everything you do in Firefox.
I don't think most games require their own add-ons. You might consider trying some other games that just run in the Flash player.
