Ok, here goes.... I Edged up on Friday 3/6/2015 at 10am. Free overnight shipping. I get emails with order confirmation and then shipping confirmation with tracking number. Fed Ex tracking initial delivery of 3/9/2015 by 8pm. Monday the 9th comes and goes without a phone. So on Tuesday the 10th I check with Fed Ex and it shows package is still "In Transit" with last scan in Memphis. Delivery date is now N/A. I read the service alert from Fed Ex that says shipments are delayed due to weather. OK. I'll be patient. Checking today (3/13/2015) Fed Ex has the same status and via an online chat, Fed Ex says I need to have Verizon initiate 'a case' number to investigate the status of the package. Ha. I ordered online to avoid spending 1/2 a day in a Verizon store to Edge up. I called Verizon and a very nice person told me I should wait longer. All I really want to know is when approximately will I receive the phone? 1 week? 2 weeks? It's kind of hard to plan to sign for something when there is Zero feed back from the shipper or help from the seller.

Overnight Shipping Isn't Free?

Looking at Verizon Support on twitter, it looks as though 2 day shipping is free but you have to pay for overnight. However, a tweet also said "If you preorder on 2/3/11 you will receive your device on or before 2/10/11."
So, would overnight shipping even make a difference? And why isn't it free in the first place? Verizon has always offered free overnight shipping when upgrading a phone.
Just curious since I'll be leaving for the weekend on Friday, so I will be hoping to get the phone by Thursday..but overnight shipping is usually pretty costly, at least on most sites.

Depends on what you are referring to. If you are referring to the Feb 3 PRE-ORDER, then even if you have overnight shipping, you will not get the phone on Feb 4. That is what a pre-order normally is. Ordering something BEFORE it is available. All of the pre-orders should be expected to arrive on or around Feb 10.
And being able to ship something overnight and receiving it the next day are also not always the same thing. If you order something that is not in stock, backordered or a pre-order, most if not all retailers will still offer overnight shiping. They will just ship it overnight WHEN the item is available for shipping. You will still pay for the overnight shipping, but you will not receive the item the day after you ordered it.

Free overnight not overnight??

I ordered a new phone from Verizon. On their home page, it says free overnight if ordered before 4pm. Guess what? Mine became a 2 day shipping. Why? Verizon doesn't give a **** about old customers, only getting new customers. They reply "sorry" you didn't select overnight shipping. Why the hell should I have to if being offered for free? It should be automatic. Go figure. My last phone with Verizon. Going elsewhere after this contract.

Just because it's offered doesn't mean that's the standard. What if someone was ordering a phone but can't be home the next day but can be the day after?

that windows isn't free, is not a big trouble - you can't merely find personal computers where it is not installed. Why to learn it? - Operation Systems are working in a similar way inside - if you understand one in detail, you have less problems in understanding another one - ofcourse there are many differences, but the principles they are based on are the same in most cases. So you do not have to start by Adam and Eve all the time, but only to find out, what the differences are - and ofcourse there is different syntax or a different GUI or both. Java counts on a similar design of todays most used OSs, otherwise it would be difficult to implement the JVM or JRE resp. JDK for it.
If you want to ship things done by Sun with your products you have to do your "homework" first, if you don't want to spend much money for lawyers - it is not just "kidding" to ignore copyright aspects - your commercial carrier can be over before it really starts. So, do your "homework" and read the licenses that you have accepted by downloading it - and stick to the rules of it - that is really good advice!
And another thing - persons, that don't stick to license agreements, are those, who make it difficult for developers to go on with their work. The people at Sun must be paid too, therefore Sun has to earn money - they don't do it with the JDK Standard Edition, but with other products - and they have to, the people who work there will buy bread and butter tomorrow too.
It is very egoistic, to want all things free - why don't you ship your products totally free? - You have invested a lot of work?- You will earn money? - Ok, but then accept, that there are other people too, who want to earn their money too, and respect their work if you use their products, especially if this products are free.

Overnight Shipping Refund and $10 off bill

I recently purchased an iPhone 6 64GB with an upgrade to my plan. Which is bitter sweet because I had to get rid of my unlimited data on an iphone 4 (which is sadly becoming impossible to use). My question, is that I was asked about shipping and selected overnight on the pretense from the sales agent that it would arrive the next day. It will not arrive today as it just shipped. So, I'm curious if anyone has gotten a refund for this? I know its not much ($15) but you pay extra shipping when you expect it will arrive at that deadline.
Also, I heard there is a loyalty discount for staying with Verizon... It seems like to me although I got a better phone... I downgraded my unlimited data to 4gb and pay $30 more monthly than my fiance whom is with AT&T with unlimited data, more minutes, and messaging. Seems to me that deserves $10 loyalty to stay on the boat for another two years... Anyone receive a discount for loyalty?

Just ordered an iphone6 128GB, on tuesday night after 4pm, where on the website said if after 4pm will ship by 4pm the next day.. 2 days later i am still waiting for my fedex tracking number. several calls to customer support, only told me it will be shipped, that was wendsday and now thursday. have been told to call internet sales, sales, customer support, and fedex themselves. seems once you place order the warehouse is a black hole, and can hold orders up to 3 days without notifying the customers, supposely it in small print, after you have read all the big print about how fast verizon can get you your stuff. this is even if things are in stock, it all up to the warehouse, as I called and they told me since my iphone6 need special configurations, would take 3 days... but its not delayed and there are no issues with my order..

Free Standard Shipping Through December 12

When ordering a book/calendar through iPhoto there is a message that offers FREE SHIPPING THROUGH DEC 12. There is a space for a promo code, but I can't find a code to put in the box. I contacted Apple Support on chat and they sent me to the Apple Support page. It was a circuitous search that ended up finding nothing. I ended up paying the shipping costs, even though there is a promo in iPhoto for free shipping. Mystery. Anyone have the answer to that?

Free bumper shipped

I got an email this morning from apple saying my bumper has been shipped. Has this happened to anybody else and do you know how long apple's regular shipping is?

There is no place to write a review on the new bumpers, but be aware that you can only use the cable the iphone comes with when the bumper is on. I have my car charger from my 3g and my bluetooth/iphone cable and they did not connect with the bumper installed. I had to take a knife and scrape around the edge of the bumper for the car charger to fit and no luck with my bluetooth/iphone cable.
FYI, my phone works just fine without the bumper. I don't see a drop in signal or had a call drop.

I ordered a phone online today and i asked through chat if there was free overnight shipping they said yes if order before 4pm which i did. It wanted to charge $12.99 for overnight shipping so I asked what do I need to do they said pick regular ground and it will go overnight. I said are you sure we need this phone ASAP! They said yes so I did it.
Well guess what....... it shipped and isn't coming until Monday (2 day) and nothing they can do.
Now I have a ****** off father who needs his phone as we cannot hear him when he calls and he uses it all the time.
And all they can said we are sorry but you are out of luck!

Incorrect and inadequate shipping information for online orders

I order a phone on the evening of 9-28-11. When placing the order it states 2 day shipping free. I naturally think - I'm placing the order on Wednesday 9-28-11 and 2 days after that is FRIDAY 9-30-11 and I should be getting it some time in the afternoon. But no , I get an email and it states I won't get the phone until Monday. Somewhere in this picture, VERIZON does not understand what 2 days means. They are always pulling this on their stuff, hiding behind their screens and computers. Just a joke for servce. Don't believe anything for certain on their site - you will get screwed!!!!

What do you mean a refurbed phone for a warranty or insurance replacement??? It can't be right! Yep just like when you wreck your car, it gets refurbed. But with phones you do not need to wait as long. When will they learn???

Are refurbs now shipping with Leopard installed?

I sent my brother a refurb iMac for the holidays. He hasn't set it up yet (they did the free overnight shipping, I didn't even expect him to get it yet!) but he said the box, which appeared slightly damaged in transit (one side was opened), only came with the 2 start up disks- no Leopard upgrade disk.
Does anyone know if the refurbs are now shipping with Leopard preinstalled? I ordered this on 12/18, so it's what I'm thinking- otherwise, I'm concerned that the disk may have either fallen out/been taken out. . .
