Free practice LabVIEW Fundamentals Exam

Hello All
Had NI removed the online preparation for CLAD. Previously there used to be online preparation test, like answer one question then click next. At the end of test it will give result, how many answers were right out of attempted 40.
Thanks & Regards,
Rajan

I got this reply by email:
Hello,
We regret that the LabVIEW Fundamentals Exam will no longer be available.
The exam questions have been updated and are available as two sample exams in pdf form on the following link https://lumen.ni.com/nicif/us/ekitcladexmprp/content.xhtml.
This transition will give us more control on the exam content, giving us the ability to add newer questions to the set when needed.
The new sample exams are a better representative of the current CLAD exam to help you better prepare for the exam.
We thank you for your patience and hope the new format serves you better.
Best regards,
GerdW

    Hi Ramakrishna,
You can login to SAP support site and download the Trial version of the software which will be available for limited period of time.
As of such there are no sites which will provide you with the system for Hands on because maintaining the same is quite costly.

  • Labview CLAD Exam Resource

    HelloAll,
I am looking for a resource(s) that can help me prepare for the Labview CLAD exam, I have worked through the 2 online example papers and these are very good at showing the weak spots. Some of the questions are a bit beyond me still, for example:
Which of the following apply to Property Nodes?
    a. Understand ans
    b. Understand ans
    c. Understand ans
    d. Property Nodes contained in a SubVI will always cause the front panel to beloaded in memory.
Which VI memory components are ALWAYS resident for a SubVI?
    a. Data Space
    b. not true
    c. not true
    d. Code
I would be gratefull for an online text that provides background to the the type of questions above, please.
    Many Thanks
    Chris

This screen capture from LV Help will answer both questions.
And regarding CLAD resources, this subject is all over the forums, just search "CLAD".

  • I would like to attain sample Labview Developers exams.

I was hoping to download sample exams to study for the Labview Developers Exam. I also want to know if the preperation course offered by NI for the exam is worth pursuing.

There is not a sample test, but you can download a pdf of the Tasks and Objectives that might covered on the test here. Look for the "Certified LabVIEW Developer" heading, then click the Tasks and Objectives link. There is also other information available on that page.
I didn't take the prep course, but a co-worker did and he did pass the test after taking it.

  • Is there any function like malloc and free in labview?

Im writing a vi that will handle my memory request.
Im doing a very high speed video record sessions , and the frames cant be saves on hardisk in realtime), so im saving the frames on memory, and i want to use memory as
much as i can(~2GB) and to save the maximum frames that i can save (and it depends on bit depth, height, width, total memory).
    VI Operations={
Allocate Memory (frame width, frame height,TotalMemorySize) ,
    Add Frame(index) ,
    Get Frame (index),
    Free Memory
In each record session, there will be a different FrameWidth and Height, so the maximum frame that i can save in memory may be different and equal to
    IndexMax=TotalMemorySize/(FrameWidth*FrameHeight)
Im doing this by allocating a 3D array [FrameIndex , row , column]
The fact that the width and height change in different sessions indicate  that i need an ability to free the previous allocated 3D array memory and allocate a new one.
(lets say that i have 2GB total memory..)

This request really takes the system and the programmer to the limits....
    First of all:
LabVIEW does not have any functions like malloc and free. LV wants to prevent the user to have to think about stuff like this. On the other hand, the memory management in LV is therefore hard to do or even impossible, at least to such an extend as you request.
    Some thoughts about your application:
    1. If you want to have about 2GB of framedata in RAM during runtime, you will need the large memory awareness active. Otherwise, a 32 bit OS will give you "out of memory" messages. Refer to the LV help "VI memory usage".
    2. Storing the data in an array could be a difficult task. Arrays have to be in memory without any gap. Therefore, you'd encounter "out of memory" messages even if your RAM totals enough free memory (theoretical).
    3. The idea of linked-lists does not compy in LV since you cannot store pointers to structs (since those are abstracted from the user).
    4. Maybe you should take a look into vision.
    hope this helps,

  • 9i SQL Fundamentals Exam tips? (1Z0-007)

I'm scheduled to take the exam in 14 days.
I have been focusing on Transcender practice exams.
I set up a 10g instance with the test hr schema that oracle provides so I can follow along with Oracles' Intro to 9i SQL book using SQL developer.
I don't know what else to do. I am consistently getting 100% on the practice exam, but I fear this is only because I've already memorized the material. I am certain in a test scenario it will be far more difficult.
My biggest issue is with joins, memorizing all the rules (i.e. no group functions in where clauses, etc) and functions. I hope oracle does expect exam takers memorize all functions and all possible arguments.
Do you guys have any tips for the exam? Something that will help retain the material? I thought my memorize + practice approach was good but I feel as if I still can't build a solid complicated query for many given scenarios. When given a list to choose from it makes it easier but I want to be able to write this stuff on my own, I just don't want to pass the exam and not have the ability to write complicated queries. It defeats the purpose.

    2) Use 10g or 11g not 9i. The newer syntax/functtionality thats available lets bigdelboy get out of situations easily that would previously stretched his underwear simultanously round his neck, wrists and ankles while still failing to successfully acheive the primary purpose. And I hate complicated queries when i look at them 2 weeks later. Practice helps. Having a real world examples tha somebody else tests thoroughly helps.

    Hello Everyone,
I am an IT engineer with 5 years of experience in Java programming (client side) and Weblogic server. I am not completely satisfied with my work because my area of interest is in Oracle technologies.
Can you please suggest me how i can get into Oracle now, which certification is best for my carrier growth. How soon i can change my technology. I have very little knowledge of BRM and R12 since the client applications i am working on is communicating to these databases. Is there any way for me to get into E-Business Suite or Oracle communications?

    Recruiters Might not be Technical
Before a Technical person reviews your resume, it first must pass HR. Using online sites like, CareerBuilder or HotJobs, will cause HR Headhunters to look for you. Many HR Headhunters are not too Savvy with knowing what your certifications mean. When they skim your resume, they may be looking for, "SQL, RDBMS, Oracle" and other keywords. Preparing for Oracle certifications are excellent tools in learning how to use the technologies, but they can be very expensive and time consuming.
You mentioned that you want results quickly. Here is a quick resume builder that you can probably do in 1-8 hours. Why not document your existing skills with certifications? As you take these open book tests, you can search for answers and learn more. What you learn in these quick tests, will probably help you with Oracle certifications, down the road.

  • What is the best practice exam for 70-462 SQL 2012 DB Admin. exam?

    Hi All,
I've completed the 70-462 exam prep guide from Microsoft press, i.e., I've read the book twice and practiced everything I could on my lab network (short of AlwaysOn and Clustering), including all the review questions and practice sections.  Now I need
a practice exam and I'm wondering what success test-takers would suggest.
I saw Transcender's practice exam for 70-461 and it was less than what I expected.  There were questions that didn't belong there and I don't want to waste my money on a practice exam that has a bunch of "filler" questions.  It was the
first Transcender practice exam I've ever seen.
Thanks for any advice you can provide!  I expect to take the exam in about 3 weeks.
    Eric B.

Seriously, though, I've been studying this guide for nearly 6 months, don't have the money to re-test over and over, and would rather pay for a practice test than pay for the exam itself more than once.
    Hi Eric,
In addition to Kalman’s post, based on my research, you can take a practice test for 70-462 from below link. Also, as is suggested in this
article, you can buy a practice test for Exam 70-462 from Kaplan SelfTest and MeasureUp.
    http://www.accelerated-ideas.com/free-70462-practice-test.aspx#.VGRCzf6KCM8
Besides, about such issues, for quick and accurate response, I would like to recommend that you ask the question in the Learning forums at
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=CertGeneral  . It is appropriate and more experts will assist you.
    Thanks,

  • May i go for sql expert(1Z0-047) exam or 11g sql fundamentals 1(1Z0-051)

    Hi all,
Please suggest me, may i go for sql expert(1Z0-047) Test or 11g sql fundamentals 1(1Z0-051) Test with
    oracle Administration 1(1Z0-042) Test.
Which will be the best option.
    Thanks & Regards

You may use either exam along with the Oracle Administration 1 (1Z0-042) exam if your goal is to get a 10g DBA OCA credential.
The SQL Expert exam is quite a bit more challenging than the SQL Fundamentals exam. On the other hand, the SQL Expert exam gives you a separate SQL Certified Expert credential. If you can pass it, you should take the SQL Expert exam.

Your statements may be ambiguous, I cannot be sure what you mean by 'fundamentals exams'.
There is a developer track for those interested in PL/SQL developer, is that what you are looking for?

I've now read on your subject what you meant by fundamentals +(if all else fails read the original posters question)+.. ie 9i DBA OCA and 9i DBA OCP .... no for you forget those and and follow the link to the Pl/SQL developer track ....

Exam order is not important, but you dont get certificates unless pre-requisites all met. The is an interesting cheap beta exam arround at present if you are up for it ... 1z0-144
