Free Software for Palm M105

Does Palm still offer free software that can be downloaded from the internet for their M105 Palm Pilots? If so, how do I download a game of chess?

    I've been using Microsoft Office PowerPoint but lately half of files freeze.
    Is there a free software for .pps files?
    Thank you

    There are free viewers available for .pps files.
    Here is one I found--all you have to do is search for "powerpoint viewer mac os x" or some such variation:
    http://www.tonicsystems.com/products/viewer/.
    However, don't you think it would be a better idea to try and figure out why Powerpoint freezes on half your files?
    You might want to find Microsoft Powerpoint forums over at Mactopia and ask some questions there.

    In one way yes.
    If you want to Upgrade your OS X...
    The first step in Upgrading... is to Snow Leopard = OS X 10.6.x
    It is Not available as a download... It is a Paid Upgrade.
    Do this first...
    Check that your Mac meets the System Requirements for Snow Leopard...
    Snow Leopard Tech Specs

    If so... Purchase a Snow Leopard Install Disc...

    Hi all,
    This is the newbie again. I found that software for Mac is very expensive. I don't if you know any sites offer free software for Mac? I really want to install my MS Office but don't have the Mac version.
    Thanks again for your help

    "really want to install my MS Office but don't have the Mac version. "
    You can purchase Office 2004 Student and Teacher edition from Amazon for about $115. Very cheap, and there is no verification required to show that you are a student or teacher.

  • Mac software for Palm III?

    Hello. While I was cleaning out my cupboard, I pulled out my old 3Com Palm III and the HotSync Cradle that I had with it. I was wondering if someone had any software for mac that could communicate with the Palm III. If there is any software, I'll buy a Serial to USB adapter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    The correct version of the Palm Desktop and the HotSync Manager is here.

    Hi, and welcome to the Palm Community Forums.
    That is not a Palm product, so you wouldn't find the drivers here, even if it was not an older device.
    Your best bet is to either try to find a disc from a third-party seller (using Google perhaps), or inquire with the developer whom I believe is Micro Innovations.
    Good luck.

  • Any free software for obfuscating or encrypting as3 code?

  • Seeking email reader for Palm m105

    Greetings everyone--
    This is my first post in this forum--I apologize if it's in the wrong place.
    I'm still happily using my m105, but now I have a modem for it and would like to read my email. I downloaded a trial version of MultiMail Pro 3, which works great, but I am unable to purchase it, since Actual Soft no longer exists. I was actually able to buy an earlier version of MultiMail, but that version does not allow SMTP auth, which I need.
    So my question: does anyone know where I can obtain a copy of MultiMail Pro 3, or alternately, software that does the same job works as MultiMail Pro 3 and won't overwhelm my m105?
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi, and welcome to the Palm Community Forums.
    I suggest downloading the 30-day trial version of SnapperMail to see if it works for you.  It says it is compatible with the m100 series handhelds, and they have different versions available from $25-60 depending on your needs.

  • Software for Palm Pilot m515

    The last time I "upgraded" my Windows XP software, it placed all my "Home" addresses in the "Work" category.  That was years ago.
    1.  I would like to know if there is a patch that corrects this.
    2.  I would like to transfer the latest program and all my data to my new Vista machine.  What is the latest update, where can I get it - and how do I move the data to the new machine.  The software should include that for the computer and the Sync software since I only plan to use the Vista machine from now on.
    Post relates to:

    Hi, and welcome to the Palm Support Community.
    The newest Palm Desktop is 6.2.2.  It is Vista compatible, but only 32-bit Vista.  There are no 64-bit USB drivers available.  (If your new Vista computer is the 64-bit variety, you will be limited to IR Beaming hotsync, and that will require an IR adapter for your computer along with a good measure of luck thrown in.  Look through the "stickied" threads near the top of the Windows Hotsync board...where by the way, I am moving this thread.
    Anyway, to get Palm Desktop 6.2.2, go to the Support link above, and navigate to your device's support page. There you will find a link to Palm Desktop 4.1.4.  They don't show a link to PD 6.2 because it is not "officially" supported for the m515.  So, click the link anyway, then at the Palm Desktop 4.1.4 page there is a link that says "need another version?".  Click it and you'll get to PD 6.2.2.
    Then, you need to go to www.pimlicosoftware.com and download their free PalmHotsyncSetup utility, which adds Palm Desktop 6.2.2 support to legacy Palm OS devices.
    To move your data, all that should be required is that you install the software, and Hotsync.  The Palm Desktop should recognize the Hotsync ID of the m515 and set it up in the new desktop.  Another option might be to export the data from your existing XP machine, and Import it into the new one.

  • Install Device Driver Software for Palm TX

    My new notebook has Windows Vista and I have had my Palm TX for almost two years.  To install the Palm on my notebook I downloaded the version for Vista from Palm.com.  When I went to synchronize the Palm with the computer during the installation the message kept coming back that "device driver software" could not be found.  Where do I find the driver software?  Is it on the original CD that came with the Palm?  At this point I don't know what to do.  Can someone help me with this problem?
    Post relates to: Palm TX

    mar008,
    When you upgraded to Vista, did you install over the existing XP install on the same PC or get a new computer with Vista?
    If you upgraded over the existing install of XP, you may need to do a "clean" uninstall and re-install Palm desktop. You should be able to use the original CD that you got with the TX on the Vista OS.
    Not sure why you are getting the 680 message. Did you ever have a Treo 680 or a handheld that is a different model than the TX?
    Here are the "clean" uninstall procedure for Vista.
    You should first make a copy of your data to have just in case something
    happens. You can find your data files by going to Start --> Documents -->
    Palm OS Desktop. Highlight your Palm Desktop username and right click and
    copy. Then go to your PC desktop right click on a blank spot and select paste.
    Now you want to uninstall Palm Desktop and remove everything that has to do
    with Palm Desktop from your computer.
    Go to the following locations on the PC and delete the folders listed below.
    C:\Program Files\Palm or Palm One
    C:\Users\[Vista Login Name]\appdata\local\virtualstore\Program Files\Palm or
    PalmOne
    C:\Users\[Vista Login Name]\appdata
    *Note you may need to view hidden folders to get to appdata. To do that go
    into your control panel and open folder options. Go to view tab and uncheck
    hide hidden files.
    Once this is done you will need to delete some registry keys from your PC Operating System.
    Word of warning, going here and deleting the wrong thing can cause your PC
    from starting up, crashing and deletion of programs and data. If you feel
    you are unsure of yourself, see if you have a friend that can help you or a
    PC technician that you can pay to help you. This procedure will show them everything they need to delete. To make sure we have a good copy of the current registry, we need to do a backup of the Registry.
    Go to start on the PC, in the search field type "regedit.exe" without quotes.
    Highlight COMPUTER, go to File --> Export. Should pop up with a Save As box.
    Current location is fine, should be in My Documents or save to a location you will remember. In the file name on the bottom type "backup[todaysdate]" i.e. backup07072008. Next, the hard part.
    The easiest way to make sure your working with the correct key, highlight the key i.e. palm quick install, and press delete on your keyboard. It will ask you, are you sure. Say yes. Do the same thing for all keys below.
    If you make a mistake, stop what you are doing. And call a PC technician.
    BUT do not turn off your computer.
    The reg keys are as follows (Note: some of theses reg keys will not be here
    but if they are delete them)
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Palm Quick Install
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\PalmOne File Transfer
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Palm
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Palm, Inc.
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PalmDesktopAutorun
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\palmOne
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PalmSource
    * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PalmSource or anything else that says palm
    Next reboot your computer.
    Then reinstall your palm desktop from the CD and do a hotsync. If it asks
    you for a username and you synced your device before, put in 'test" if you
    did not sync before create a hotsync name.
