Free Spng Balance

I recently purchased some songs through iTunes after about a 2 week break. Before the purchase was made, a dialogue box popped up that said "Free Song Balance Out of Date", and then my 2 free songs were deleted from my balance. I never saw this before, and I was not aware that the free songs could expire. If anything, I figured I had until the end of the year to use them. Has anyone seen this before, and can you explain what it means? Thanks.

I had the same problem and resolved it by updating my account:
1) Log into your account by clicking on your user name in iTunes (next to the song balance)
2) Once logged in, Click on the "Reset Warnings Button" near the bottom of the page
This should clear the song balanace and allow you to purchase additional songs.

I had the same problem but with a gift card. I logged out of my iTunes account & restarted iTunes, that fixed it for me.

After going through my Coca-Cola Free iTunes songs, and downloading all the tracks I wanted, the last Free Song notification box didn't clear.
Next to my account name at the top right of iTunes, is a box with '1 Song' in it, that just won't go away.
When I click on 'Buy Album', a box pops up saying 'Your free song balance is out of date. Click OK to refresh, and try your purchase again'. Tried it - nothing - box still says '1 Song' and I can't purchase anything because of it.
I've reinstalled iTunes 7.0.2 but the box is still there and I still can't purchase any songs. I don't know if a prefs file needs deleting, but wouldn't know which one to delete!
Any ideas would be hugely appreciated.

Your free song balance is out of date

I had a free song from Coca-cola, and have the "1 Song" icon up in the top right of the screen. I've redeemed the song, but the icon still remains, and now every time I click on "Get Song" I get the above error message and can't download the song. Any ideas what's up. I'm on 7.0.1.8.

If you haven't already, try logging out of your iTunes Music Store account and back in and see if that properly refreshes your balance.
If not, contact the iTunes Music Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of this web page and explain the problem to them.

Sign into the iTMS, and it should rectify itself (ie go to "My Account" and sign in with your Apple ID or AOL Screen Name). I had the same problem with the Coke promotion.

Problem getting this week's free song

Got an error message that "Your free song balance is out of date. Click OK to refresh, and try your purchase again." Clicking again did not help. Running the latest version of iTunes and Quicktime if that matters.

I am in touch with an Apple enterprise tech guy. But so far no solution. Another crash trigger: try to open a bin with loads of large size stills in large icon view. Scroll and FCP6 is very likely to crash. The same thing happens in Motion. So somehow the whole instability is a Final Cut Studio 2 issue. I have installed the Pro Application support 4.0 update, which was recommended by the support technician, but it did not change things substantially. FCP crashes at least 4-5 times every day. BTW I am working with HDV footage, tons of stills and Motion animations. I have come to the believe that it is better to export Motion projects with Quicktime or animation codec instead of importing Motion project files into my FCP project. But anyway, FCP6 is the least stable version ever.
Would be good to hear if anybody has the same experience with projects that were generated natively in FCP6. Any comments?

Limit on free song downloads?

When I try to download the "Free Single of the Week", I get a message that says, "Your free song balance is out of date.Click Ok to refresh and try your purchase again."
When I click OK, I get the same message again.
I've never had this problem before. Usually the tune downloads and the purchase receipt reflects $.00.
When did the restriction on downloading "Free Single of the Week" go into effect?

Can't get free stuff

When I try and download the free tv shows, like "Lost Survival" I get a message "Your free song balance is out of date. Click OK to refresh and try your purchase again." But clicking OK just makes the message go away and I get the same thing when I try and purchase.

Try logging out of your iTunes Store account and then log back in.
If that doesn't help, send a message to the iTunes Store customer service department through the form at the bottom of their web page and explain the problem to them.

Free song not refreshing

I have redeemed a coke code and bought a track off the itunes store, but once it's bought the "1 song" displayed does not indicate that I have no more free songs to redeem, it just keeps saying 1 song.
This is all fine and dandy until I try actually purchasing a song with money, As when I try, it states:
"your free song balance is out of date, Click Ok to refresh, and try your purchase again"
Thing is, it doesn't refresh, it stays there... saying that I have still got 1 free song left.
I tried redeeming another coke code, which let me purchase another free song, but still once I'd done that the same issue remained.
As it stands at the moment, I cannot purchase single tracks from itunes due to this bug. Can anyone help me?

Click on your email address next to where it says one song.
Log out, and then Log back in.

Coke free songs error

Hey everyone im hoping somebody can help me. I loaded all 5 of my free songs (through Coca Cola promo) onto my itunes a while back. I thought I had used them all, but when I go to the itunes store and try and download a song it says: 'Your free song balance is out of date. Click ok to refresh and try your purchase again.' Of course I try this, but nothing happens. Now I can't buy any new songs because the same message keeps re-appearing. Anyone know what I should do? Thanks. Chris

ITunes no longer wants me to purchase songs, apparently.

I had been given 5 free ITunes downloads, and I believe I've used all 5 of them, but the "free song" counter at the top of the "store" screen still reads that I have 1 free song left. Every time I try to purchase a song, however, an error message box pops up that says "Free song balance out of date. Press OK to refresh and try your purchase again." Needless to say, it's not working, and I can't download any songs because of it. Any idea's on how to fix it?

The ITunes Customer Support suggested the same thing, and lo and behold, it worked. Don't I feel like an idiot? Thanks.

Error Message I cannot fix

When I tried to buy an album online (UK Site), I get an error message saying - "Your free song balance is out of date"
Then - "Click OK to refresh then try your purchase again"
I can't download either the free "download of the week" items or it seems purchase anything now either.
Any ideas?

Scenario 1
I have created a service PR for 100,000/- and created a PO for 80,000/- and when I check the reort FMRP_RFFMEP1AX for commitments and actuals In PR it shows reversal of 80,000/- and once I go and close the PR Manually entire 100,000/- gets reversed i.e commitment of 20,000/- ges added in to budget.
Scenario 2
In case when I make supply PR with maerial code but with cost center, with the same values of PR and PO, after creation of PO amount get reversed in PR is 100,000/-
why it is so? Is anything missing in config? DO I have to run the report FMRE_SERLK for service PRs to free the balance commitments...

Hi Shailesh,
System is behaving correctly.
If you have created a PR of 100 quantity and then you have created PO of 100 quantity. It means your PR is complete. Obviously system will reverse the whole budget of PR i.e. 100000/-. In case of material PR/PO, system budget process is quantity based.
Now you will question, why this is not happening in your scenario 1. Answer is, your scenario 1 is of Service PO. In case of service PR/PO, you have activated "Value Based Commitment" instead of quantity based commitment. And this is correct because in case of service PO, generally we create PR with 1 quantity and with some amount.

Repair camera or buy new?

During a holiday trip to Italy, my trusty old Panasonic NV-DS38 PAL mini-DV camera broke down. It's from 2001 and it seems as it's the tape mechanims. It seems as it can't pull the tape out of the cartridge. Yes, I tried cleaning it and I tried several different tapes.
Now, how much better is a 2007 model compared to a 2001 model?
Or, in other words, should I repair it or buy new?
It must be a miniDV camera as I have loads of tapes. I have no need for HDV as I don't have a blu-ray burner or player and I don't have a HD-TV.
My camera has 15x optical zoom that I like.
It has digital picture stabilization (that doesn't work when zooming or panning).
It has analog in- and output.
I also have a wide angle adapter that's really useful indoors.
It also has decent low light capability.
So, what is your opinion?

What about low light capability on 1-CCD vs 3-CCD? Which is best?
there's no generic answer on that, cause:
it depends on optics of camera and of size of ccd.. you should use guides as camcorderinfo.com, which provide indepth info on that.. some camcorders shout '3cdd!' but with small chips.. = due to the process of 'splitting' the incoming light, some show noticable 'noise' under low light conditions.. so, a good 1ccd could offer better pic quality than a cheapo 3ccd ...
so, if 3ccd, then 'full size' ccd... as the Pana gs400 I mentioned above ...
if you do not need analog-in, there's a very wide range of products... I like to 'touch' such devices, wether my fingers find all knobs&switches... when I bought my Sony (I like Sony, excellent quality, Zeiss opttics, Stamina battery management etc) , the other competitor was a very small Panasonic.. would be my 'shirt pocket' camcorder... finally too small for my hands..
and, it depends on your needs of 'manual control', some devices offer a 'focus ring' as on old film cameras, other allow settings only on touchscreens... free white balance?
do you need ext. mic input?
If I had to buy a new one, I would look only for optics, lenses + full size 3 ccd...

You cannot use the Japanese iTunes Store unless are physically present there and have a Japanese payment method. This applies even for free apps; you cannot get them from the Japanese iTunes Store if you are in the US.
If you are in Japan, you can set up a new iTunes Store account just to get free apps. See:

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
If you have moved to Japan and wish to change the country of your account permanently, you can contact the iTunes Store and ask them to clear your remaining balance. You will need to be able to provide a Japanese payment method, though.
