I just installed the free trial Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and it is not allowing me to freely convert a pdf to a word document????!!!! Why is this? Does anyone have this problem?
When you report a problem you should always try to include as much relevant information as possible. Saying "it doesn't work, help me!" is not very helpful to us, because there could be a million reasons for it not working... What exactly happens when you try to convert a PDF to Word? Are there any error messages? How exactly are you trying to do it? Also, what operating system do you use? What version of Word? What exactly version of Acrobat? etc.

Error 1061 when downloading free trial of Acrobat XI Pro
I am attempting to download a free trial of Acrobat XI Pro on a PC running Windows 8. While downloading, I receive an error message of "Windows Search Error 1061: The service cannot accept control messages at this time." I have tried stopping the Windows Search service through the admin services in my Control Panel but receive a similar message (or one indicating that other services dependant upon Windows Search are running). Can I "ignore" this error and continue to succesfully download the trial version? Or, is there a way to stop this service until the download is completed? I am not an IT professional, so any advice is appreciated.
Don't know, but I would suggest to just try ignoring it and seeing if you get a successful download. Of course, when you install you need to be logged in as the administrator and disable anti-virus. An online search for the error suggests the problem is a WIndows configuration issue. The one site I found had a fix tool, but I do not generally recommend downloading such fix files. Another site suggests a corrupt registry.
You might try the CCleaner tool to see if that can help with the registry. However, I would just continue with the download if you can and see if it works. -
Clicking "Download now" on the "Download a free trial of Acrobat X Pro" is not working. Any help? I even opened an account and logged in and it still did not work.
What? I don't understand if you are asking me a question or telling me what to do. I am using IE9 and when I clicked the "Download now" button, a new tab did not open or anything like that nor did another window open.

How do I cancel free trial of Acrobat XI Pro?
I didnʻt realize the cost of Acrobat XI Pro was over $400, so I need to cancel the free trial I installed today on my iMac. But I donʻt see any way of doing that. If you click HELP in the "Adobe Download Assistant," you end up, well, here. And still no clear instructions on how to cancel. Please help!
There is no need to cancel the trial. You can just uninstall the application like you would any other.
If you are afraid you will be charged when the trial period ends you will not. The trial just stops allowing you to use it unless you purchase and obtain a serial number to activate it to full use. -
From this Acrobat page:
https://www.acrobat.com/en_us/free-trial-download.html?trackingid=KKYXF
Downloaded three times same result.
Tried the download in firefox and chrome with same resultsI suggest that you download the offline installer from http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-acrobat-xi-pro-standard-reader-direct-download-links.html
Make sure you follow the Very Important Instructions on that page.

Error Downloading free trial Adobe Acrobat XI Pro
I have tried downloading the free trial of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro 4 times, and each time I get the following error message: The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author.
Anyone know how to get the new installer file?Hi Cara English,
Try Downloading the installer package from this Link ( Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X) and let me know if it gives the same error.

and nothing else happens after this screen, no matter how hard I tried for the past 4 hours
Here's an alternative that skips the download manager but stills pulls the files from the Adobe server. Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.
