Free Trial of Adobe Photoshop CS6 Troubleshooting

I downloaded the extended free trial version of the program and used it to create a poster. I started to create a cd cover for my clients single release. I was unable to finish the product for lack of time, and so, closed the program. I came back to the computer later to finish and cannot even open it. help.

What computer? Do you get any warnings? Have you restarted your machine?

Just tried to trial the Adobe Photoshop CS6 as having issues trying to use disks...

Downloaded fine but no matter what version I try downloading I seem to get message setup.xml could not be loaded. File corrupt? Help please am no techie and been on it all morning using vista home basic service pack 2 if it helps? Thanks.

Where can I download a free trial of adobe photoshop for mac os x 10.5?

I cant seem to find a free download of adobe photoshop for my mac os x 10.5. Does anyone know where I could find this?

Should you have been misled about the capabilities of the iBook G3
portable PowerPC-based Apple computer you bought online, you may
be able to return it; misrepresented products may be returned if you
bought through such places as eBay, etc.
Also, the name iBook has been re-used, it currently not only applies to
old vintage or obsolete Apple portable PowerPC G3/G4 computers, it
also applies to the newer iBooks ebooks, applications, software, and an
author application where later spec computer or device systems are
needed to utilize their function. But not current portable computers.
For relatively inexpensive Intel-based white polycarbonate Apple portable
computers that could run Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion 10.7, you may find
some resellers of repaired or used stocks, with Core2Duo processors,
and these MacBook entry-level models replaced the PowerBook/iBook G4
builds in 2006, then were discontinued by 2010. Now there are MacBook/Air
MacBook/Pro models, the latest models are rather different in build & OS X.
everymac.com has information about most all Macs, including portables
and their years of manufacture, specification, and other details.
So, I'd check into the returns situation, and get some model of more recent
build; even a repaired one with a limited guarantee could be OK. Depending
on what your expectations are, you may find a deal, or a disappointment in
trying to find a bargain without more information on what their limits are.
Older models no longer made appear in online resale sites, some companies
repair and resell a variety and their inventory is changing all the time. But other
resellers may not really know anything at all about the items they sell on ebay.
A local Mac user group may be helpful with locating something nearby. Or you
could try some online resellers who have a good reputation among Mac users.

Installing free trial of Adobe Photoshop Elements 8

I have a PowerPC G4, 10.5.8. I tried to download the trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 (to check before I buy), and this is the message I get:
"System Check The minimum system requirements listed below are needed to run Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 and are not met:
This product does not support PowerPC architecture CPU. Please upgrade or adjust your system to meet these requirements."
I have no idea what this means or what to do about it. Can this be solved? Does this mean I am not compatible with this app?

Okay, I'm looking at Photoshop Elements 6 Amazon and one of the customer reviews says this: "Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac will not install if your hard drive is formatted using Case Sensitive Journaled HFS+. This requirement is not mentioned in the Elements 6 documentation.
The current fix is to reformat your hard drive using non-case sensitive HFS+. Mac users who need the case sensitive drive format are out of luck with Elements 6 at this time.
You can check how your hard drive is formatted by looking in ->About this Mac->More Info->Hardware->Serial-ATA (if you are using a MacBook Pro)."
I have no idea what this means. And checking my system profiler doesn't tell me anything, or at least I don't understand what it's saying.
Also, re: GIMP - it says on the site: "Running GIMP on Mac OS X requires Apple's X11 environment. It is included on the "Optional Installs" package on the OS X install disk."
I don't know what this means either, and I don't have the install disks, as my friend upgraded me and didn't give me his disks. I'm sorry I seem so stupid, but i'm really at a loss with all of this. Thanks for everyone's help.

I downloaded the free trial of Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and now it won't open because it says there are "...missing files. Please reinstall." I've already downloaded it twice and it still didn't fix it. Is there anything I can do to fix it? TIA.

How do I delete Adobe Photoshop CS6 Trial from my Mac Mini? I was upgrading to Adobe Photoshop CS6 not extended. So now I have Adobe Photoshop CS5, CS6, and CS6 extended. My computer is running very slowly. Are all these programs large? Can I delete all but the CS6 and how do I keep the photos I've done in CS5 in CS6 if I want to delete the CS5?

Your photos won't be affected by uninstalling anything. Neither Photoshop nor Bridge keep, import or store any image files. They are all wherever you installed them. (Unlike the crappy Apple iPhoto application, which hides your images from you inside the application package .)
Two very important caveats:
1.— Never drag any Adobe applications or their folders into the trash! Always use the Adobe Uninstaller installed by default with each application.
2.— The time to uninstall an older application is BEFORE installing newer versions of the application. The reason for that is that the Adobe Uninstaller can and in all likelihood will damage later version installs.
If you want to reclaim HD space, your best bet now is to uninstall all versions, including the most current one, then run the CSCleaner Tool, which you can search from and download for free from the Adobe downloads site, then Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility, then re-install the latest and most current versions. Finally, Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility once again.
Remember that Photoshop 14.x, which would have been "CS7", but now will be "CC", is scheduled to be released on June 17, less than two weeks from today,

I am running a TRIAL VERSION of Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended on MAC and Bridge does not open. It did open when I first downloaded it - but now a black question mark is over the BR icon and it does not open up. Any ideas from anyone?

I just thought it was interesting and helpful to me to learn that the icon for Bridge does not appear anywhere. Not in Application Folder. Not in the Finders Directory Files. I see your point - if I could locate that icon - I'd be set by dragging it onto my DOCK and launching it from there.
So - I'm assuming I need to uninstall CS6. Please list all the steps for me to uninstall so that I don't miss any CS6 files.
When I search in FINDER for CS6 uninstall- I see two icons - red adobe "UNINSTALL ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS6" (both files are identical) Under KIND they both say Alias - with two different dates they were last opened (in November - few minutes apart). Is that what I use to uninstall completely all the files related to PS CS6 Extended as well as Bridge?
Do I need to DEACTIVATE ANYTHING ANYWHERE?
DOES ANYTHING NEED TO GO INTO TRASH.
I just want to make sure 'everything' related to CS6 Extended is off my computer and out of all the files. In the event i want to re-install - naturally I don't want to run into any conflicting 'issues'.
Do you think if I reinstall I will run into this same problem again (BR not launching)? Is there anything I can do to prevent it? I note on the forums - going a few years back - that there have been a lot of issues related to this same problem - even in other versions of the Creative Suite. Is Adobe doing anything to rectify this problem for us Photoshop CS Suite lovers or is all their focus just going into CC?
Thank you so much for trying to help me resolve this issue. It is very frustrating to have an Adobe product that is not completely functional. Especially when the Creative Suites are so expensive. I appreciate all the time you've put into this issue.

Not the most helpful error message from the installer? No details on why the system was rejected? That's something I'd consider to be some amateur-level programming in the installer.
You don't have a 64-bit processor. Intel Core series is 32-bit. Intel Core 2 series (and later) is 64-bit.

It wants me to pick a product to download and the Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Student and Teacher is not listed. The closest thing to download is Adobe PS CS6. Please help me

there is no specific trial for S&T. It's just the normal program. S&T is a licensing/ pricing thing, not some technical difference.

I have been trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS6 Trial offline because it says "my computer isn't connected to the Internet" but i cant figure out how to generate a request code. See screen shots. These are my EXACT Steps. I don't know where to go from here. Thank You!

I don't follow. all trial versions are PS Extended. If Extended functionality is not avialable, ite means your system doesn't meet the requirements. Refer to the tech specs on the product page.
