You need to have a valid MOS username/password and CSI number to download this patch (Patch 7523554 10G Jdeveloper With OA Extension ARU for R12 RUP6) from MOS website.

UIX Visual editor for OAF development??

Hi All
Please let me know if anyone has used UIX Visual editor for developing OAF pages using JDeveloper 10.1.3.
Where can we find UIX editor.
Is this a seperate tool that needs to be installed or its integrated with JDeveloper.

There is not visual editor for OAF pages.
You will have to wait for the next version of ORACLE APPLICATIONS, I mean the Fusion version that has not been released yet.
The pages for the Fusion version will be customized with a new "version" of jdeveloper (with a extension to interact with apps.) with a visual editor.

Is there a free version of SendNow for a fillable pdf 2.5 MB I want to send to different people? If not, other options?

I had a developer create a fillable pdf that is 2.5 MB that I am going to market and customers will need to send a filled in pdf to several people within a short time period.. I read there was a free version of SendNow which would have been perfect, but when I called the chat line was told there was only the $19.95 version.
Since my customers are not going to want to pay $19.95 to use this form for a short period of time is there a free SendNow version and if not what's the next best alternative? All I can come up with is downloading the pdf to the desktop and then attaching it in an email.

Emailng forms is really a toy for testing. Serious forms will have a web script (ASP, CGI etc.) on a web server, and will submit to that - exactly like an HTML form. (HTML forms can send email to but nobody does because it isn't reliable).
If you aren't in the business or writing or commissioning a web script, look into Forms Central.

Free version of oracle for windows?

Is there a free version I can download to my home pc to practice on?

As long as it is for training or evaluation and NO development of production software, oracle doesn't charge anything to download their database software. The downside, is that you can't download any patches without a paid up metalink account. That being said, then simply go to the link below and download any version that you want.

As Release 9 is a cloud-only release, JDeveloper is not generally available via eDelivery fo this release. You can reach out to Oracle Support for further details.

How to Bounce Apache or OC4J for OAF Development

hi all,
yesterday i've been trying to get answers as to why the changes i make in an OAF page does not reflect immediately. after doing research i found out that i need to bounce the apache or oc4j everytime i make changes to ui xml or class files.
i then realized that it would be really annoying to bug our dba to bounce the apache or oc4j everytime i make changes. so i came up with this idea where i create a concurrent program and hope that maybe this can bounce the apache or oc4j for me.
i create a shell script with the code below
$INST_TOP/admin/scripts/adapcctl.sh restart
exitunfortunately the script i have doesn't work and returns an error.

OSSI.just wanted to know if putting this in my shell script, it will continue the process even though i get disconnected to the EBS Form? one thing i'm assuming is that if the apache is stop, i will have no access to its web / form interface.. so basically after i run the concurrent program i most likely will get disconnected.
can anyone help me with this.

currently my user in the unix box does not have the permission to execute these scripts which is why i went ahead and thought of creating a shell script that executes those lines of codes for me. then i will create a concurrent program in Oracle EBS which executes this script. now my concern is, if i run the program that executes the shell script, most likely i will get disconnected from Oracle EBS. my question is, will the program run in the background even though i have been disconnected from Oracle EBS?

JDeveloper 3.2 is only available (certified) for Windows NT and Windows 2000. Previous releases are only available (certified) for Windows NT.
You can run JDeveloper on windows 98, but may encounter problems. Specifically, debugging is one area where we know people running on windows 9x have trouble.
Our next major release will be all Java and will run on any platform.

I want know which version of JDeveloper (11.1.1.7 – 11.1.2.4 - 12.1.2.0) satisfied our requirement and what version of Oracle Fusion Middleware and weblogic we must install on our servers ?

At the moment only 11.1.1.7.0 meets your requirements.
The next jdev 12.1.3 should work to, however we don't know when this version will go public.

Different versions of JDeveloper for client and web service

Here is a tricky question: I've created a web service using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 and I want to generate a client from the corresponding wsdl. The thing is however that the client will reside on Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.0 so I have to generate it from JDev 10.1.3.0.
I first tested to generate a client in JDev 10.1.3.3 and it worked fine sending messages from my local machine. But then I tried to generate a web service proxy in JDev 10.1.3.0 and in the last step when pressing the finish-button I get the following error:

The properties.wsdl and XXOGL_B08_HBOPreCheck.wsdl are in the correct directory. The XXOGL_B08_HBOPreCheck.wsdl contains the following row about the properties-file:

Install new version of libxml2 for iphone development

I need at least version 2.2.23 of libxml2 because I am trying to use xmlSaveToBuffer function with XMLSAVE_NOEMPTY flag so that the document doesn't print out empty tags.
What version is in the iphone? When I try to build is says that I am implicitly trying to define the function xmlSaveToBuffer at this line:
xmlSaveToBuffer(xmlbuffNew, NULL, XMLSAVE_NOEMPTY);
I use the following imports:

There does not seem to be a free version of EasyCapture for the Lenovo T430 available for download at this time.
If this software was something preinstalled there is no way to recover it if it is not on the recovery disk.
You may have to use a version of this software provided from the developer’s website.
