Free version user limit

Experts,
We have reached the maximum limit of 10 users for our sap cps 8.0 free license. we tried deleting some of the users and tried creating a generic user, but it still complains user limit 10 reached. Please advise..

Free Account User Limit Exceeded After Premium Plus Upgrade

Earlier today I upgraded my account to Premium Plus and received an email confirmation stating that "The capacity and functionality of your subscription level will be in effect immediately." Unfortunately only 2 of my participants were given access. All others received the following message:

The user limit for this meeting has been exceeded. Contact your meeting organizer for assistance.
Needless to say, I had to cancel this presentation after waiting for phone tech support for 15 minutes.

Free version of Solaris 10 - CPU limi (?)

I can get a E4500 system with 14 CPUs pretty cheap but I'm wondering if the free version of Solaris 10 would utilize all the processors. Is there a CPU limit?

There has never been any limits in the Solaris kernel as to how many CPUs you can use. Somewhere around the Solaris 2.6 timeframe there was a licensefee for systems with many CPUs, but that went away long ago.

User Limit Exceeded?

I am getting familiar with Adobe ConnectNow and I am told
that the user limit has been exceeded. Yet everyone has logged out
and the meeting ended and restarted. I am using FF3 on a Mac. I
have cleared private data.
This is on the free version that has a 3 person limit. Yet I
have ended the meeting and the three participants have closed their
computers.
Now, when the program has been started again and a person is
invited, the invitee gets a "user limit exceeded" page after
attempting to log in.
Great tool though with only minor bugs.

If this is an Adobe Hosted meeting, then you need to call Adobe Support and advise them the complete meeting URL. If this is on your own Adobe Connect Server, then you can try rebooting the server to see if that ends the meeting. Again, Support can assist with this as well. Please understand that Acrobat is not part of the name since last year. The product is now called Adobe Connect.

How does one use the free version of OmniGraffle without instructions?

I found OmniGraffle loaded onto my new PBk G4 (apparently for free) and, after trying to use it, have a few questions.
1. Is there an instruction booklet/program for the supplied version besides what little is included in its Help menu?
2. It came as v3.2. When I checked on the Web site for instructions on using it, it refered to v4 only, which appears to require a purchase.
I'm uncomfortable being in this Catch-22 situation. If there's a charge for a beginner to use v4, how can an Apple purchaser with v3.2 find a step-by-step user manual for the free version of OmniGraffle supplied on my computer?

Incidentally, I then downloaded the upgrade offered at the top of that page (from v3.2 to v3.2.4) but after ±90% of the necessary time needed, it shut down with a "Failed to Mount" message (whatever that might mean). It took more than 28 minutes to download that much even though I'm using DSL! Have either of you upgraded to v3.2.4 with or without difficulty?

Is there a free version of an Mac Word that I can download. My previous computer was an HP and it was installed for free. I tried downloading it but halfway through the process, a message popped saying it is currently running in one of my programs.

I googled and downloaded a free version in my mac but halfway of it being downloaded, I was informed it cannot be properly installed as it is running in my program? Is there a built in Word for Mac. I have never been a Mac user so everything is new to me.

Best approach for publishing a paid version and an ad supported free version of the same app

One of my Windows 8 store app is almost ready for store submission.
What is the best approach for publishing a paid version and an ad supported free version of the same app.
Can I do the following
1. Submit the app with unlimited free trial to store
2. During the free trial ads will be displayed
3. If the user purchases the app, then the ad would not displayed
Any advise is greatly

Although the in-App purchase option is good but for ad based apps my approach is different.
I would suggest putting 2 different apps in the store, one free with Ads and one without. Reason being you want the extra reference and xaml ad controls depending upon how
many you have on the paid version of the apps. I would keep my apps as lighter and cleaner as possible specially when its a paid app.
I currently manage both free and paid app through one solution and reuse most of the code except for the views.

Use api app on free version of reader?

I am looking at using the SDK to allow me to add a button to the user interface to bring up a new window that will let me assign and write some file attributes to a database as well as determine the path for the saved file, rename it etc.
The javascript interactive console is not available for the free version of Acrobat which is fine for now but when I deploy the app I need whatever I use to access the API to be useable in the free version of Acrobat reader as I have a deplayment of over 500 users and there is no way I'm going to buy 500 copies of professional. If that is the only option I will use Google's pdf.js instead but I hope I don't have to.

there is no free version of Acrobat. Adobe has two desktop products Adobe
Acrobat and Adobe Reader. If you want to create a plug-in for Acrobat, you
need to apply for a Reader IKLA license (
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/reader/ikla.html). There is a fee associated
with this. You can create Adobe Acrobat plug-ins for free, but Reader
plug-ins need to be approved by Adobe, and you have to pay a licensing fee.
There are also limitations in what you can do in a Reader plug-in. The page
I linked to lists those limitations.

Paid / Free versions of an App and the reserved name

lets say i have a Paid version of an app(w/ trial) and a Free version(Ad Supported), how am i supposed to deal with the "name reservation" thing?
First, why having a Paid(w/ trial) and Free(w/ ads)? Well, simply because offering a Trial(free ad supported) doesnt do justice, since peoples who are not willing to pay in the first place will browse throught the marketplace app and see that an app has
a price on it and simply skip it instead of installing the trial version to finally realize that the Trial is the Free variant.
That being said, having a duplicated app for both Paid and Free Ad Supported is making it difficult to have the same name on the marketplace. Sure i can give them both the same name, but i cant use the same reserved name for both. I have to do something
like adding a suffix character to the Free version or put a Pro at the end of the Paid application name, which is not representating the truth anyway since the Paid version has no Pro features in it, its just Ads-Free.
I hope my question was clear enough(sorry for any grammar mistake, i am not english native).

I remember in the universal apps tutorial or another channel 9 tutorial the Microsoft employees actually recommended adding Pro to the end. You can limit features easily though with one line of code. Here's the line of code:

Redwood Free Version / Paid Version Comparison Key Difference Omission

After having read several Redwood brochures, white papers, etc. and the SAP press book on job scheduling with Redwood I am confused as to why the 2 SAP Instance license limitation of the Free OEM version seems to be omitted from all of them.
One of the major benefits of Redwood described is the ability to run jobs against different instances from one central point of control. Most SAP landscapes have more than 2 instances.
We started using Redwood 6.0.2 SP 6 or 7 and there was no limit, but, unfortunately, the 2nd step in a job chain would not run. When we upgraded to the next SP level to fix the job chaining problem, the license limitation of 2 SAP instances was suddenly enforced.
I was wondering if anyone can shed some light as to why this very important difference between versions is not well publicized while the other differences are?

The restriction you are talking about was a restriction of the pilot version of SAP CPS. The introduction of SAP CPS has had three major phases: Pilot phase, Ramp-up phase and GA phase. The GA phase for SAP CPS started just this week.
According to the information in your message, you have already started using SAP CPS during the pilot phase, and have chosen the standalone free version. During the pilot phase, indeed there was a restriction of 2 SAP instances per repository.
However this restriction has been lifted for the ramp-up and GA versions, but of course there still are differences between the free and full version.
So you may want to consider going to the GA version that's available now. Note that this is a NetWeaver integrated version, not a stand-alone version anymore.

Alternative free version for TOAD for non-DBA purpose

I am a new junior DBA in my company. i have lots of oracle developers who needs a tool like TOAD to work with oracle but should not have DBA facilities.
and also need to have something which is for long term and not like TOAD freeware which we have to re-install every 3 months.
I have sql developer and plsql developer in mind.
does someone know of any other tools that can be used like TOAD with non-DBA privilieges.

We use PL/SQL Developer from allround automations, it's not free, but it is much cheaper than TOAD (Does Toad still have the clause where you can keep reinstalling the free version, as long as you don't have more than 5 people using it in your organistation?). The company are very flexible about licensing too - we recently whent from 10 to 20 licences, about 3 years after getting the original 10 user pack, and they let us just pay the difference between the 10 user pack and 20 user - don't know many companies who would do that.
We have been using it for a few years now, and it works great - both for people doing PL/SQL development, and for people just using it for ad-hoc querying and support purposes.
But if SQL Developer had been available when I started looking at the available tools I probably have gone with that - you can't beat the price, and you know the company isn't going to go bust!

ITunes free version vs. MediaMonkey free version

Since iTunes always autolaunches despite my preferences telling it not too (so ridiculous I have to post on a forum to find this answer, even if I wanted to like it I end up despising apps that don't provide EASY user control by default), I decided to download the free version of MediaMonkey yesterday. It's pretty impressive actually, and less bulky in terms of speed/hourglasses. At quick glance, the only reason I would still need iTunes is to buy stuff from the Apple store, but I think I can do the same from their web site?, and definitely from the iPhone. I'm wondering if I should just dump the app, or is there something I am overlooking in terms of what iTunes can do vs. the MediaMonkey?

You cannot purchase anything from the Apple store with iTunes.
And you need iTunes to purchase from the iTunes store.
You can purchase the Apple store from online Apple store website.

Problems getting a licence to redistribute the free versions of Flash & Adobe Reader

I am trying to register for a licence to distribute the free versions of flash and adobe reader in the school where I work. I have filled in the online application form twice now approximately 2 weeks ago and I have not had any reply back. I have spoken to customer service via live chat and they have said that it is a technical issue and I should post it on the forum. can anyone please assist?

Unfortunately, being a user to user forum, with the occasional employee, we really can't do much of anything with distribution licensing. Hopefully, an Adobe employee will pick up this thread and make a contact, but that's the best that can be expected here.

You should have a backup of your servers regardless of circumstances. You would then be able to restore the server software.
