Free video tutorials for logic pro 8?

I recently purchased logic studio.I remember reading somewhere on the apple website that there were free video tutorials available for logic studio from the apple website.But I cant seem to find them anywhere.Does anyone know about this or how to access them.Thanks.

Hi Kilmar. Don't know about the apple site, but as others have replied macprovideo.com have an excellent range. There are free downloadedable examples and some to watch on their site. The tutorials that come with V8 are only song files; not actual tutorials. I was looking for them too! There are also a couple of books from Apple pro training. Logic Pro 8 and Logic express 8 by David Nahmani. Also Logic Pro 8 Beyond the basics by David Dvorin. Both come with a DVD with 30 day version of expres and work files to go with the various topics described. I've got the Version 7 books and they are excellent. Version 8 won't be published until end of OCt and 1st week Nov in the US. In Australia, where I live, not until Feb 2008. {boring!] but they are available from US publishers. Xmas is Coming! Would You Like 50 FREE Video Tutorials for FCE/FCP?

Ripple Training produce some excellent tutorials on CD.
However, they also give away over 50 video tutorials for FCE/FCP.
Many of them are for FCP BUT (most) also apply to FCE.
They deal with each topic in a short and punchy style. I found them easy to follow and learned some useful quick tips.
They are QT movies which can be downloaded so that you can use them whenever you want. (Allow about an hour to download them all - you have to do them one at a time). I found it quicker to download all of them (except for a few dealing with multi-camera work etc.) rather than viewing them on the website to sort them out.

Just a couple of additional points for newcomers:-
1. The estimation of an hour (or so) to download them all refers to Broadband (ADSL). Normal "Snailmail" internet will take around 10 hours!
2. To download each lesson choose File>Save Page As. A window will appear saying it will be saved as a QuickTime Movie on the Desktop. Click Save.

Free Workflow tutorials for FCS 3

lets define MutliCam for a moment as meant to "synch audio and video from diff. sources and with different time-stamps to one common time-base".
In your case, this base is the music track.
All material should (and could) be synched to that single 'clip'.
It doesn't matter where or when the material was recorded, it just has to be in synch with the music.
So, in my humble understanding of creating a music video, it ist completely useless to 'pile' clips manually into compounds, sorted by location (???).
Create a new Multicam clip; synching can be performed e.g. by setting manually a Marker in each source; you can drag any clip in the MC manually into position; you can apply additional tracks manually; you can sort clips in the MC manually; ... if 'location' is important for the concept of your video, give each location its own track = angle.
In the end, you have ONE audio track; and several 'location' tracks = camera angles. In edit, on the first run, you play the MC and hit 1,2,3,4,5,... for each cam-angle. In a 2nd step, you refine edits. Add non-synched material for cut-aways ... apply dissolves; effects, color-corrections; ... done.
Due to using a MC, you never get out of synch. And you have to synch just once. No need fro compounds.

DVD video tutorials for Logic?

I'm posting this for a small established publisher of video tutorials for Logic Pro. They have produced courses for Logic 7, 8, and 9 in both DVD and digital download formats as well as Mac App Store apps for LP9. However now that LPX is available only from the Mac App Store, is it worth creating a DVD format version? Would anybody still be interested in a DVD?

Video tutorials for completel LR newbies?

A few years back I had been using CS5, (but not very well), and also an application by Nikon called Capture NX2. I got semi proficient with NX2 and like the results I got with that. As time went on I slowly moved on from my photography hobby, (still have all my gear though).
Just recently I've got the photo bug again and I really enjoy editing the shots I take. I've never used LR before so I was wondering if there are video tutorials for the absolute basics?

I have been dabbling with LT for over 3 years and although I can just about manage, I don't really know much.
Yesterday, Allosaurus, from the FCE forum posted details of this site giving away free video tutorials.

I have found them very informative and useful, as they explain many of the basic processes that I was clueless about.
Of course they are hoping you will buy their "LT Expansion Packs", but most (at least 9) of the tutorials are fine for people who haven't got them ......... particularly the 4 Basic Tutorials, which explain so much I don't know after nearly 4 years.

I work at a technical school and have created some video tutorials for beginning After Effects users. The effects shown are not difficult, "how'd he do that?" effects, but are common effects seen on television.
