Free Wi-Fi Locator

I have a new Ipod Touch gen 4 64 GB. I am able to use it with my wireless router at home to download, do face time, skype etc but when I try to find free wi-fi (near me) I get "Unable to find any hot spots near your query". I can go to our clubhouse, (1 block) and find many.. If I search by my (zip code) it says "Free Wi-Fi is having trouble connecting to our servers. Please be sure that your device is connected to the Internet". Any idea?

Thank you for your speedy response. I deleted the program and reinstalled it but no help there. I found another wi-fi finder and it works but it starts me in Ft Lauderdale area and I am near Orlando. The original one which is not connecting asks for "near me" or zipcode. I was just on a cruise recently and tried to use the cruise ship's wi-fi but it needed an ID. Could this be why this new one uses that? Is there a way to input my location?

If I'm in a location which offers free wifi (my local coffee shop for instance), and I want to log onto my banking website, Ebay, etc., is it safer to use E (non wifi) or is if ok to use the faster wifi? I saw a show on Dateline NBC where they had some guy on his laptop "stealing" passwords from unsuspecting surfers. Can someone like this steal info if not using wifi?

Generally speaking, this is not a huge risk in practice, but packet sniffing does happen on a fairly widespread basis, and a typical user would have no idea that their unencrypted data was being collected as it traveled through the air in an unprotected manner. Sniffed traffic discloses unencrypted, clear text personal identifying information, account numbers and passwords, which is why it is potentially a substantial risk.
It's sort of like driving without a seat belt: there is little consequence until your vehicles is hit head-on at 55 mph by a vehicle going at approximately the same speed in the other direction. Then it matters a lot.

   Your question is not very clear ,
In free goods two things you need to rember, whether you are doing 1. inclusive free goods 2. exclusive free goods.
Based on those two   it also calculate on 3 diffrent ways,
      unit rate ,
     pro- rate ,
     whole unit .
it depends on type of free goods you are giving at the time of sales order   based on that system determines the storage location. if you have maintained st.location determination, if not then you can munually select in delivery.

Outlook 2003 Free/Busy only shows 2 months for users on Exchange 2010

Hi,
We are moving to Exchange 2010 from Exchange 2003 and have noticed that users who have been created on or migrated to Exchange 2010 who also use Outlook 2003 can only see 2 months worth of free busy information.
After doing some testing this is only an issue if the user who is looking at the free busy is located on Exchange 2010 and they are using Outlook 2003. It doesn't matter if the mailboxes they are looking at are on Exchange 2003 or Exchange 2010.
If the user uses Outlook 2007 they see free/busy past 2 months.
We configure Outlook to publish 12 months of free/busy.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Matt,
According to your description, the issue only happens in Outlook 2003 but not in other Outlook versions. Please check whether there is the Auto Accept Agent installed in your Exchange server. This issue occurs when you register the Auto Accept Agent to process
meeting requests for the affected mailbox.
Here is a KB related to this issue. Please follow it to configure the period for which you want to publish Free/Busy information in a registry entry on the Microsoft Exchange Server on which you have installed the Auto Accept Agent:
The published Free/Busy information for a mailbox is displayed for the default period of two months after you have configured a longer period in Outlook

Exchange 2013 servers not sharing Free / Busy

Some of the users on EXMB01 are not able to see users calendar Free / Busy information on EXMB02.
In our exchange 2013 (CU5) environment the following server: mailbox EXMB01 and EXMB02, CAS EXCAS01, EXCAS02 and EXCAS03. Server are Windows server 2012, mail domain is mail.domain.com and does not match our internal network of local.domain.xyz
(Non standard was setup before me). All setting point to mail.domain.com for mail configuration. External cert from a CA was added to all three CAS servers.
USER1 on EXMB01
USER2 on EXMB02
USER3 on EXMB02
Was able to get USER1 to see a USER3 can see all Free/Busy, subject, location now (only set the Free/Busy time) . Added USER02 see Free / Busy, subject, location (also only set Free/Busy time). Added my own calendar to the USERS01 to the
USERS01 outlook and can see my Free/Busy, subject, location. I only have by default Free/Busy time set no one else added.
What settings to I check first? Is their a PowerShell command to reset a users calendar permissions? Is something not set correctly on the servers?

Width of interMedia / Locator subset of Spatial functionality in 10g?

I'm fairly new in this forum, but I'll hope for open arms anyway ;-)
I'd like to do a "poll" with this post:
- For applications you manage or know that are built on 10g Spatial, how well does the "standard" functionality i.e. the Locator subset (interMedia install option) cover applications' needs in 10g? (Interesting, since 10g seem to include all of 9i Spatial in the default feature set - see catmd.sql / catmdloc.sql)
- How many of your apps (in %) requires EE plus the Spatial license option, and what's the main functionality required?

Answering your question is really akin to making an assumption about what "standard" features are. You are correct, quite a few of the features found in Oracle8i and Oracle9i Spatial are now included for free with Oracle Locator. However, many of the features that people feel are "standard" - in that they see more benefit in using what come with Oracle Spatial rather than developing those features themselves - happen to only come with Oracle Spatial such as geocoding and network modeling. Given that these are "new", standard features of Oracle Spatial a better way to gauge what people are using with regards to Oracle Locator or Oracle Spatial might be to first ask which people are simply using the SDO_GEOMETRY storage model behind their COTS GIS applications (like Autodesk, Intergraph, ESRI, etc.). The reason: most COTS GIS applications primarily make use of the SDO_GEOMETRY storage model rather than the features that surround it. Once you can get an answer to this you may be able to narrow down what people are using in terms of features. However, again, because Oracle Locator and Oracle Spatial are essentially based on the same exact technology, many may still find it hard to answer your question as they may - as part of their apps - be using one or two functions that only come with Oracle Spatial.

How does location services work?

I recently found an app called "mapswithme" and basically it downloads maps and I can use it offline. I don't really care about the criticism about how apple maps suck because I personally don't use the 3D features. I can drive perfectly fine even without that 3D or the routing, I just don't want to pay extra for 3G or 4G or LTE or whatever you want to call it because I have no use for it except on maps; which is stupid because "mapswithme" can download an entire country's map for free. Will location services still work even if I don't have 3G and Wi-Fi on, and only relying on cellular data? FOR EXAMPLE: I have a SIM CARD on my iPhone with "GSM only", will location services still be able to find my position? I have heard of others being able to see the blue dot(which represents where your location is) and grey background(which represents that maps has not yet been cached because of no internet) previously on iOS 5 on google maps. Because if it will work, then the grey background won't be a problem because the entire country's map is already downloaded and I do not need 3G service anymore, I only need the location services.
*PS: I am considering buying an iPhone 5 and I have never owned an iPhone before, just iPods. If location service will not work relying only on cellular data then I wont buy and iPhone anymore. PHP50,000 is a heavy price to pay for an iPhone here in the Philippines and I don't want to waste money.
*PPS: There is also a 4G LTE plan here in the Philippines, but I still have to pay around PHP2000 to PHP4000 every month aside from paying the iPhone, which is again wasting money because I will only need the internet service on iPhone on maps.
*PPPS: No, I don't use Twitter and I only visit Facebook for the notifications. I don't use Weather, Stocks, Game Center, Mail, FaceTime and other apps from Apple that do not make sense. I have a computer at home and I can do internet surfing there. I also don't plan on jailbreaking because there are a lot of paid apps that become free on App Store every week.
I really need help on this one. It would change my overview on whether I would buy just an iPod touch or an iPhone 5.

I see, the app does require data connection but only on the first use because it still needs to me to pick which map of a country I want to download. Other than that, it does not require internet connection at all, only GPS. I first saw this app on my friend's android device, he only had GPS turned on. 3G and Wi-Fi were turned off and still worked. It could point his position and maps were not a problem because it had already downloaded the whole country's map.

Its a free VPN service located in Romanina, Romania is one of the best places for a VPN as the data retention laws dont really exsist. The service is FREE and has PTTP or OpenVPN options. It uses 128-bit encryption for OpenVPN. It does say it supports 256-bit encryption but that seems to be non-exsistant in OpenVPN connections.
Another thing. Their support does not answer your emails.
I use it for all P2P.

When my 4S connects to my home wifi, it kicks all other devices off and the router has to be restarted. Can anyone help?

I am using an iPhone 4S with 16gb memory. I did not yet update to iOS 8. I'm using 7.1.2. I have never had any problems previously using 3G or wifi. We just moved and have a new Netgear router supplied by our new ISP. We have ADSL connection. The router seems to be working fine for all the devices in the house. At any time we may have 2 or 3 laptops connected, as well as Kindle Fires, iPod Touches, and my husband's iPhone (which is the same make, model, year as mine). My iPhone will connect, but usually within minutes after connecting my iPhone 4S (though sometimes 30 minutes or more later), it kicks everyone offline and the router needs to be restarted. The router shows appropriate green lights and I can see it on my list of available networks, but if I try to connect I get the "unable to connect to this network" message until we restart the router. No one else is able to reconnect until the restart, either.
I have tried resetting network settings on my iPhone. I have completely turned off my iPhone and the router. I have talked with someone at our ISP and they did a reset of the router with me. They think the router is bad. But it works completely fine for everyone else in the house, so I can't help but think we are having a connection issue between the router and my iPhone.

I have already had our modem rebooted through our internet provider so I know the signal is good (as well as all other devices connect to wifi) I am losing sleep over this and she is quite frustrated so any help would be appreciated. Oracle Spatial system requirements

Hi Experts,
I have a 32bit window 2003 server with 8G memory (PAE added to *g from 2G) with 4 CPU.
we use oracle 10GR4 suppour in stream.
Based on application, I need to install Oracle Spatial ( Actually, I can saw Oracle Spatial object in sysaux tablespace).
I could not find how many system resource requirement to support Oracle Spatial future.
ALso How to check Oracle Spatial is installed into system?

Outlook 2007 denied calendar access when shared by other outlook 2007 users....

i have exchange 2010 with latest sp. we use outlook 2013/2010/2007 on windows os's vista through 8.1. Calendar sharing via setting explicit permissions in outlook 2010/2013 works fine. in outlook, select calendars, right click calendar, set explicit permissions
for user you want to share calendar with to Free/busy/subject/location. works ok for 2010 and 2013. However Outlook 2007 client does same and the other outlook 2007 intended recipient gets "you dont have permission to access xxxx calendar. DO you want
to send a request?" WHen you send a request you are automatically granted "Reviewer" permission to the mailbox. Our staff dont want to give that much detail. Is this a bug or config error? I expected to set the permissions on a users calendar
to a mailgroup and share it using the free/busy/subject/location permission set. SO i was surprised to see this didn't work and generated the permission error + request permission email. any ideas would be appreciated.
The main reason to share this way is to avoid giving reviewer permission to everyone you share with.
Also please note that an Outlook 2013 user who uses the method above to set permissions for groups will have other outlook 2013 users view his calendar based on the permissions set. Outlook 2007 clients still get permission denied...do you want to request
permission...
After more testing I found that upgrading to outlook 2010 seems to work. I would prefer to avoid the cost of the upgrade if possible however it seems that Outlook 2010 works correctly and Outlook 2007 does not.

My understanding is that no matter the calendar owner shares the calendar via Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2007, the Outlook 2007 recipient can't open the calendar and receive the message to send a request, am I correct? If yes, please let me explain.
In short, it is by design in Outlook 2007. In Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2007(and later), the "Free/Busy time" and "Free/Busy time, subject, location" permissions only apply when checking the user's free/busy information (for example,
when looking in the Scheduling tab of a meeting request) and not when looking in another user's Calendar folder.
To workaround this issue, when sharing the calendar in Outlook, please add "Folder visible". Thus the Outlook 2007 recipients should be able to open the shared calendar.

Cloning in release 12

We have a database that runs out of a seperate oracle home to the tech stack database home that comes bundled with release 12.
I have run preclone of apps and db tier, when I do the db clone it errors.
I decided to self clone this working server to a new database on the same server - a simulation of copying it to another server and cloning it.
Here are my steps so far and a summary of the errors :-
Re-run adpreclone.pl on the database tier and the application tier.
As oracle user :-
cd /u01/oracle/product/11.2/appsutil/
mv clone clone_renamed
cd /u01/oracle/product/11.2/appsutil/scripts/oracoa_isg-fin-coa
perl adpreclone.pl dbTier
Verify using :-
