Freedom, and Quicksilver and some other card oh my!

I currently have a Visa from my credit union (started at $500 now $1000) which I use regulary and pay the balance in full. I'd like to get another card, preferably with some level of rewards. I get pre-screend offers for Quicksilver, QS1, Chase Freedom, Amex Everday... but am unsure if it would be wise to apply for another card? I guess I am worried about getting denied and the adverse effect on my scores. I'm 700s across the board based on the lender pull for a recently completed IRRRL, and have the usual assortment of an auto loan, school loans and mortgage (VA) which are all current. I went through a short sale on '10 and have some baddies associated with all that but those accounts have all been paid in full. Sites like Credit Karma list my approval odds as QS1 (Very Good), QS (Fair), Chase Freedom (Poor), Amex Everday (Poor). Should I pull the trigger? Apply for two? Wait?

I need to send a mail to one Recipient and also copy some other Recipients throught workflow. I've set up a mail step in my workflow and that sends a mail perfectly. But is there a way to add CC to that step so that when the Recipients get a mail they know that they only have been copied.

You can run OS commands in a package using an ODI Tool: OdiOSCommand.
It is also possible to execute OS commands in an ODI procedure using the Operating System or Jython technologies.

It sounds like you want to deactivate Sync. I've found a support article that details how to do that so that your data won't be accessed by the other computer:

Finder 'loses' it's current folder and Cut and paste weird

I have been using OS X for over three years and two Finder problems are still bugging me and I am sure there is a setting or trick that will solve them.
1. Finder is in List View Mode, I click on a file or folder, want to switch to column View Mode and the folder/file I am looking at is moved away to a totally random folder somewhere else, if I am in my Movies Folder and want to switch to a different view how do I get Finder to stay in the Movies folder and not to some other random folder?
2. If I do CMD C to copy a file from my NAS box and want to Paste it into my Movies folder how do I do that? Whenever I try the file gets written to a random location on the hard drive. I have tried clicking on the Movie folder so it will Paste there but no joy. I have duplicates of files all over my HDD as I have no idea where they have been written to.
There must be a way to do this.

I am seeing the same problem with Snow Leopard too

1. Double-click on the selected folder before changing the view.
2. Works here. Ensure that you select the Movies folder by clicking into it before using CMD+V.

I-pad controlled by some other random device.

I will be watching a video and suddenly the brightness goes up or down, or the video closes. If I am doing nothing it keeps going to the search screen and back again. If I reboot the ipad it seems to break the link. This only happens on the train, (in public), but not at home???? It seems to be picking up swipes and clicks from some other random device. Anybody experienced anything like it. It's very frustrating Ipad 3rd generation 64gb OS 8.2 recently updated.

Start with this. If this doesn't work, delete the song and download it again or sync it it again to the iPad. You can swipe across a song in the signs list to get the red delete button.
Quit the Music app completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

After clicking "sign in" at the bottom of the apps main page, it brought up another menu where I clicked "Choose existing Apple ID". After pressing this the menu disappeared and nothing happened. I tried this multiple times and received the same result each time. I tried the other available option of creating a new AP ID to log in with and that one worked perfectly fine. I am clueless as to why the log in for me is either not able to load or just completely blocking me from getting back into my iTunes account on my phone. Not only can I not listen to the music I currently have, but I cannot log in to purchase the new music that I wanted to with my unused iTunes gift cards

I click on a link or start typing text in a box on a webpage, any page, and the browser window either randomly changes size, reduces & goes to the toolbar, or some other strange random thing occurs. Why is this?

Whenever I am using Firefox, when I am on a webpage (any webpage) & I either click on a link in that page, start typing in a box, click on a button, or click on a tab, the browser window either reduces to the toolbar, or just changes size, usually from full-screen to 2/3 of its size. I reinstalled Firefox (downloaded from the web) after wiping my hard drive because I was having so many problems from my browser constantly crashing, to the computer itself crashing often, to the computer running exceptionally slow. At first everything seemed fine. But then after having opened my computer a few times, a few different windows began to freeze, then that stopped, then this thing with the browser started a few times later after opening it. Now it does it every time I open it. Also, whenever I try to click on a button on other windows on my computer, I get the 'warning' sound, nothing happens, then after a couple more tries, the button works. All of this is just weird. I had antivirus protection on my computer, but it apparently did not catch whatever virus infected my computer, or the damage was already done when it did get it. I thought once the hard drive was wiped, that everything would be ok, but then these weird things began to start up, and now I am wondering.... Of course, it could also be something wrong with the browser, too. I've also had some trouble getting my printer to working again, but I've managed to solve that problem.

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

TtyS4 and ttyS5 how do I activate using 'setserial' or some other way

Is there a 'setserial' expert in the house?
I've got a daughter board/card that has a bunch of I/O on it. All devices work except the two serial ports. I have 4 serial ports on the main board plus these two on the daughter board for a total of 6 serial ports. The 4 ttyS* on the main board work but I can't get /dev/ttyS4 and /dev/ttyS5 to work. (these serial ports on this exact hardware work on Solaris 10 x86)
Here's what I've tried / found out so far:
Using 8250.nr_uarts=6" parameter to boot options in /boot/grub/grub.conf so once booted there is /dev/ttyS4 and /dev/tty5 (in addition to the standard ones).
Now I want to use "lspci -v" to find UART device info for ttyS4 and ttyS5 so I can use 'setserial' to specify port, interrupt and so on. This is where I run into trouble. I see from a block diagram from the manufacturer of the hardware that there are two Exar DUART chips: XR17D152 DUART for ttyS2 and ttyS3, and a XR16L2551 DUART for ttyS4 and ttyS5. Problem is, when I do a 'lspci -v' only the XR17D152 DUART for ttyS2 and ttyS3 shows up. 'lspci -v' does not report anything for the XR17D152 DUART, which is for ttyS4 and ttyS5. I look at a block diagram of the daughter board where the XR17D152 DUART is and see it is NOT on the main bus but under a PLX PCI9656 I/O accelerator chip. I do see the info for the PCI9656 chip when I 'lspci -v' but not the DUART that's attached to it. With nothing to lose, I tried using the 'lspci' info from the PCI965 I/O accelerator as parameters to setserial for ttyS4 and ttyS5, but of course that didn't get results. Furthermore I see when I 'dmesg | grep tty' that that serials ttyS2 and ttyS3 use MMIO, which I'm not sure that 'setserial' can specify MMIO, only port IO.

- Since the XR16L2551 resides under a PLX Technology PCI9656 chip which IS found by 'lspci -v' can I use memory info from it to probe for the XR16L2551, or can I even use the 'lspci' info from the PLX chip as parameters to 'setserial?
- How can I get these serials, ttyS4 and ttyS5 to work?

I've learned by reading other topics that I can't upgrade my graphics card on my Macbook Pro because it's soldered into the motherboard or somthing like that, but please tell me if there is any way to get more video ram by chaning some setting or upgrading something else. I'd also like to know why I only have 256MB of VRAM when I have 8GB of RAM, since I have 8GB of RAM I thought I was supposed to have 560mb of VRAM...

The only two items that a user can change on a MBP are the RAM and HDD (Retinas not included). You have what the unit came with and the only way you will be able to change that is to purchase a MBP with superior graphics
If you are very much into gaming, the I suggest A PC. They are far superior for that type of application to a MBP.

IPhone 4S fell on some water, was working but now won't work. I got a replacement coming. Can I use the old Sim card in the new phone if it wasn't damaged? Will I get my pictures and contacts and messages back if it wasn't damaged?

My iPhone 4S accidentally fell into a very shallow bit of water. The phone was wet, but worked afterwards for a short bit. Now it's not working, so I called and got a replacement phone coming. Same exact phone. Can I use the old Sim card in the new phone without harming anything? I don't know if the sim card got messed up or not, but I had a lot of pictures and messages and my contacts on my phone, and I assume these were on the sim card or am I wrong? I just wan to know if I can use the old sim card if it's still working in the new phone that is coming, as long as there was no damage to it? Thanks

I think I had it on the iCloud, I just changed computers and had part of my old computer backed up, where are the default iTunes info saved like the pictures and I know my contacts were backed up cuz I kept getting updated stuff that I wasn't sure about, but it was contacts where some belonged to my wife's contacts....but anyway, if the cloud backed up contacts, it should have grabbed pictures too? Like I asked before, if they were backed up to the computer, is there a default iTunes folder they are saved to? I had a crap load of pictures on there that I usually could really access if I was connected to wi-fi. I turned off my data stuff as I only have 4GB and between me and my 2 kids, we seemed to use up a lot of it. My son would play music from Pandora during work, and use up all our data til I limited him to only 3GB, my daughter and I barely used 1GB. Anyway, thanks to everybody that is answering. I thought I might have done good finding the dang sim card, but pointless I guess.

Sorry guys, I don't know a **** of a lot about cell phones, but I do know about memory cards, but not sim cards that act like memory cards or look like them anyway. What is the purpose of a sim card if I may ask a stupid question since they don't hold any data from my phone stuff.
