Try this -
When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which minor issues with the BlackBerry device.

  • Netflix application storage error N8011

    Greetings,
I have been searching for information on an issue my daughter is experiencing with Netflix on her MacBook Pro c2009. I have read many things in this issue, but have not found a true fix. Perhaps you can help.
When she starts a movie, instead of the movie playing she receives the following error: Application Storage Error N8011. It tells her that Private Browsing is enabled and instructs her to turn it off or call Netflix. However, Private Browsing in not enabled. I have played around with Private Browsing and am fairly sure this is not the issue.
The few things I have found in discussions on the net (suggestions that Netflix is not compatible with Safari 5, instructions to reinstall Silverlight, and making a new user account) have not provided a solution.
The suggestion that Netflix is not compatible with Safari 5 might have been relevant some time ago, but it clearly is not "the" issue because I am able to use Netflix on the same computer using a different account.
I have removed Silverlight and reinstalled it without any noticeable effect. Again, Netflix works with my account on the same computer. And Silverlight is a shared plugin, it does not need to be installed by each user.
The "fix" that I found repeated a few times is to create a new user account (named "test"). This does work, but it is a work around. It is NOT a "fix".
I believe the issue is related to an account permission or perhaps a Safari user configuration, but I have not been able to uncover anything in this light.
The new account I created as a work around does not have Admin privileges, but Netflix does work with that account. This reduces the range of possible causes.
If you have had a similar experience and have found the solution, please share it.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for your reply Klaus1.
The link you sent does not work: Error 404 - Not Found
I think the url you meant was:
    http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/07/how-to-re-enable-netflix-in-safari-5/
I had seen this page and tried it, but reverting to version 4 did not help the affected user account. Besides, Netflix is working with version 5 on a different user account on the same computer. For these reasons I'm pretty sure the version 5 thing has been resolved.
By the way, the info in the above link is really cool. I had no idea there was a way to revert Safari to prior versions. Apparently this is a feature for developers to test their web pages in different versions of several browsers - Cool!
Back the to point, I'm curious how many people have experienced this N8011 issue with Netflix. By the dearth of info on the web addressing this problem, I'm guessing it is not very common. But it is real, no the less.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Other Application Storage

    Blackberry Torch 9810
    ATT Runnnig 7.1
I'm having problems with my onboard device storage. It started out with 160MB free space, but now its down to 3 MB. I haven't installed any other apps( I deleted most ) yet the space will go down to 1MB then I will have to perform a battery pull. What's causing this?
The culprit seems to be the "Other Storage" Category.  It starts as zero and then grows until it consumes all free space.  If I do a battery pull along with clearing Cache and unchecking all universal search categories, it will go down to zero but within 8 hours, it is back up to the 160 MB which is all of my free space.  I can't do battery pulls every 4 hours as I have a case that is difficult to come off.
What is in the "Other" category under Application Storage?  I have deleted most old emails and text messages.  I don't store any videos or pictures on the phone.  I actually wiped the memory card because I thought that could be an issue.  I only have roughly 4 apps and those are some of the very basic ones, no games.
Help, I just want to know what is in Other.

"Other" refers to as the cache and temporary files saved by the running applications in the background and applications that were used.

  • Silverlight - Give generic Error, closes when you click on application storage - Windows 8

Silverlight errors on websites and won't load bubble test. Also if you go into silverlight settings and click on application storage it doesn't open the box below just closes.
I've tried deleting the file that saves silverlight cache, fix-it tool, registry cleaner and reinstall. Silverlight still won't load on windows 8 machine.

    Tricky one really.
I work in businesses where the desktop set ups are well known.
I'll try and offer some suggestions since you have zero replies.
Kind of unsurprising though - there should be some sort of consumer orientated support somewhere rather than the only option being developer forums.
If you try that bubble site I posted and it doesn't work then Silverlight is broken or you're using it in a browser it's just not going to work in.  ( That's just a random Silverlight site I found by the way ).
Exactly what error do you see?
The default browser settings for IE 11 stop my Silverlight business apps working, but there's a relatively friendly warning.
You're using the desktop version of internet explorer?    If it doesn't have a house star and cog top right and looks all metro then it's not desktop.
Other browsers are unreliable to fatal.
    Sounds like you did this:
    https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2608523/en-gb?wa=wsignin1.0
You definitely have windows 8 pro?
It is never going to work on win rt.  I never saw anyone trying to  install on win rt so I don't know what happens but neither the plug in or the Silverlight .net framework work on win rt.
    Other than that.
    Good luck.
    Hope that helps.

  • Mail application storage

I am in the process of cleaning my computer. On my early 2008 iMac, and the operating system it came with, there were folders which stored accumulated e-mails, a folder for each recipient. I  now have Maverick. Is there a similar set of files on this operating system, and how do I find them?

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, I can log into iCloud with Apple ID, and I can send and receive mail that way...the problem seems to be with the Mail application, where my outgoing server reads 'offline', no matter what.
Curiously, I got another storage message today saying my iCloud storage is maxed out at 25GB and that I won't be able to send or receive.  It's odd, b/c when I check my account status on my iPad, I have TONS of storage left.  I don't get it.  And I can still send and receive messages via the online service...

  • My application storage is 63gb but system information says i still have 95gb free out of 120gb

Help needed. Was checking my storage capacity at the About this Mac and it says i have 63 gb of storage for application. What's weird is that it still say i have 95 gb of free storage out of 120gb. Apparently that 63 gb storage increases by 1.5 gb everytome i open garageband. I checked using omnisweeper and surprisingly it says i only used 22gb of my storage out of 120 gb. Tried uninstalling garageband but the storage for application does not decrease. Please do advise what should I do next.

  • Overwriting Application Storage Directory on new installs

    Hi,
I have an AIR app that gets bundled with XML files that the app needs.  These get put into the APP Storage Directory.  Works great.  But when I install a new version ( which includes new XML files) , the new files don't get added or overwrite the ones for the previous version.  It seems that if that directory is there from a previous install, the installer will ignore the part where it moves included files.
    Thank you for any help.

I found out what I was doing wrong.  I didn't realize that the files  also get copied to ApplicationDirectory.  These files do get updated on  new installs so accessing them from there instead of storage was the  key. It does make sense to not futz with the storage dir on uprades so  the users pref files etc don't get deleted.

  • IOP application storage requirements in Oracle

Are there any recommendations regarding database space( size in GigaBytes ) for an IOP dedicated schema? I did not find any recommendations in the Install Guides (pdf) for 4.03 or 11.1.2.0.
I have seen Oracle backups that range from 2GB to 80GB, but don't know how large that is when stored in an Oracle database.
Is there a recommended starting setting for the dedicated Oracle Schema for an IOP application?
What is a good starting "grow by" setting for the IOP dedicated Oracle Schema?
If there are any documents available which contain recommended specifications for the IOP dedicated Schema, please direct me to them.
    Thank you.

We do not have any sizing document for now and it is a work in progress. The main focus should be on the number of member combinations (or the number of blocks) and the size of each block. This is also multiplied by the number of scenarios in the system. Sometimes the application rowsources contain lot of data and they replicate data from external sources. To avoid that one needs to consider using table-driven or custom rowsource, in particular, if the rowsource is read only. Also, frequent purging of old scenarios should be considered and there are commands to achieve them.

  • Application storage directory for CS Extensions?

    hi,
I want to convert my AIR app. into a CS Extension. I have local configuration xml files in my AIR app and I use File.applicationDirectory, File.applicationStorageDirectory..etc to read and write to those configuration files. I have external web service url and other information in those config files that needs to be changed by the user. Also: once the extension is deployed, is there a way to change that?
Can you please tell me what is the equivalent in Cs extensions?
    thanks,

You can use the CSXSInterface preference object, but I've found that file to not be the most stable.
I'd recommend writing the data yourself.
If you want to be fancy you can use a SQLLite DB for that, but a text file is simplest...

  • Application storage

Okay so, I am very insecure about my first Apple product ever, iPhone 4S. It will have no pictures, videos or songs. I currently have 12.8 GB left. So, I just wanted to ask this, how many apps and games will it able to hold?

    You can do the math.
Per the link provided, you can have 2,160 apps within folders on 11 home screens.
Apps fluctuate in size a great deal depending on the app and function, so the average size of my apps may be different from the average size of apps on someone else's iPhone.
I don't have anywhere near 2,160 apps, and I don't regularly use a number of apps that I have installed.

  • Problem with application and storage and memory.

I NEED HELP!! I am trying to add more application s to my Blackberry Curve 8330. My problem is I don't have enough storage to even add a couple of application s and their updates to my phone. I have an 8GB media card with like 7.3GB of free space. Also, I only have 3.7MB of free space on my device. One of my questions is, How do you add things to your memory card instead of your device memory? Second thing is, if anyone decides to respond to this discussion, please use simple steps. Thanks soooo much.
    ~Robin

    Hello!
There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) Application Memory, 2) Device Memory, and 3) Media/SD Card Memory
Application Memory -- This is the most crucial; it is the protected (not user accessible), dedicated, and fixed (in size) space that is available as the destination for the installation of applications (plus some application storage, overhead and such). You cannot touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can only install here...there is no option.
Device Memory -- This is space on your BB that you can touch to store files, pictures, media, etc. Typically, it is not terribly large, but it is available to you.
SD/Media Card Memory -- This is what it says...your SD card, for you to store files, media, pictures, etc. It cannot be used as the target for installing applications (only App Memory can be used for that). It can be as large as your BB OS can support...see this KB:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB05461
On some devices/OS levels, you can only see "File Free" (Options > Status), which I think is equivalent to AppMemory. On other devices, you can see all three memory usage levels (Options > Memory). Here are some guidelines to use:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15345
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14320
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14213
Lastly, it is always important to properly close applications when you are done with them. Using the Back or the Red key will not do this -- those leave it to the app to decide what to do...and some will leave themselves resident in memory, consuming resources on your BB, slowing the overall performance. Rather, to close an app, press and select "Close" or "Exit"...that will force the application to be closed, freeing up for your new use the resources it was consuming. Some apps will always remain running (typically -- BBMessenger, Browser, Homescreen, Phone, and Messages)...but, you should still close them properly - especially the Browser...if it is left on an active web page, it will not only consume extra resources but battery power as well.
Further, anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure. Some have taken to doing this on a regular basis as a preventive measure...some as frequently as once per day. Others have obtained the QuickPull app to automate a simulated Batt-Pull.
    Best!
    Good luck!
