Freelance Labview programmer wanted

Freelance LabView programmer wanted, New Haven Ct area.
Must possess shovel (dig a project out of a hole). Vi reading analog input
from daq board will properly read input voltage when running by itself in
timed loop. It does not read voltage when running in parallel with other
vi's in program. The digital IO's on the same daq board can be written to
with no problem in the same loop.

  • Freelance LabVIEW Programmer

    Hi everyone!
I'm here to offer my services to anyone who is in search of a freelance programmer.  I'm 24 and currently a 3rd year student in Electrical engineering .  I've been programming pretty intensively for almost 4 years now in my current job (part-time for now!).  I have a few projects under my belt, many of which are fairly extensive.  I have very good knowledge of radiofrequencies, specifically microwave range, ActiveX (COM in general), GPIB instrument control, OOP programming in LabVIEW, etc. etc.
I'm simply offering my help because I enjoy programming in LabVIEW and would like to make a few extra bucks in my spare time working from home (being a full-time student with a job leaves me with only a few hours a week).
My main fields of interest are RF and biomed but I will review any type of project that is offered to me.  Hourly rate is very negociable, I'm a student after all!
I'm located in Montréal, Québec, Canada (Oui, ma langue maternelle est le français (québécois )!
Anyone looking for more information can contact me at: [email protected]
    Thanks for the interest!

  • Can a freelance LabVIEW programmer become an Alliance Member?

Looking at the application form it is clear that NI are (understandably) only interested in established companies who will generate lots of hardware sales for them. What about all the talented LabVIEW application and instrument driver developers who work on contract with smaller companies - any exposure for us? These are exactly the kind of people who need a central advertising space but cannot normally fund it themselves.

    > Thank you for the question! I'm curious for the official answer of the
    > company. I asked the same question at a regional meeting and got a
    > "you have got to draw a line somewhere" answer.
    > I think a lot of small businesses are interested in a paid
    > quality/expert-based mini-alliance membership.
    >
This isn't an official answer, but I can tell you what I have seen.
There are individuals that enter into the alliance program. They
typically have expertise in some area that makes them a good integration
choice for engineers using NI products. The key in my opinion is to
gain the confidence of the local sales person and convince them that the
regional users of NI products would be better off if you were doing
    integration work with the allianc
e program affiliation. You can also do
integration and not be in the alliance program.
Ultimately, the salesperson wants to see the people they sell products
to be successful in using them. If you have something to add to this
situation, then they will be open to sponsoring you into the program.
If you are looking to get your feet wet and get some experience, what
I'd recommend is approaching an existing alliance member in your area, a
busy one, and let them know that you are interested in free-lance work.
It will let you try things out, see if this sort of work is up your
alley. If things work out, then you have something to approach the
    salesperson with.

  • LabVIEW programmer wanted with imaging & sub micron motion control experience

We have a project where we need to align a microscopic image of a prober tip to a mask of known XY coordinates.  The image will be acquired with a video microscope with a high resolution digital camera, and the prober will be mounted onto an automated XY theta stage.  The mask will have to be scaled to match different magnifications/fields of view, and the stage will automatically align the prober to the mask. Project is located in Eugene, OR. Please contact John, or Gary at 800 706 2284 for further details.

Hi, I'm having a problem with switching of relays using ADAM module 4608. I have 4 relays with me. The vendor supplied commands to open and close relays. But while using serial communication protocol, I can only operate one relay at a time. The problem is there are four different  commands to open but only one command to close it all. I couldn't operate all the four relays simultaneously. Program I developed is attached with this message. The commands to open are, #010001,#010002,#010004,#010008 and the close command is #010000.please, can you help me find a solution. I'm really stuck here.

  • Freelance LabView Programmers where are you?

I am searching for a freelance LabView programmer (in N.Wales / Manchester U.K.) does anyone know of a site that connects projects to freelancers?

Do you need someone locally, or will a telecommuter be appropriate? I find it useful to have contractors working on the other side of the world - you can give them a task at 5pm, and the answer's on you desk (ie: in your email inbox!) by 9am the next day...
    cheers,

  • How to start a second labview programme automatically when first programme is aborted ?

    Hi,
I have two independent labview programme. I want to run one programme at first. Second programme should start automatically if first programme is aborted by clicking abort button. Could you please help me in this regard.
    Thanks

Would it not be better to close the meters when you close the application and have your application exit gracefully rather than having it start another one?

It sounds like you have solid experience. Have you considered contract work? The job market kinda sucks right now. Check out net-temps.com and jobcircle.com. Presently I work through a contract house called YOH Scientific, yohscientific.com in Newark, DE. I'm sure they could find you work but they'll skim a lot off the top. I worked with optical comm when I lived in Mass. Too bad it took a dive. I still see a lot of opportunities for RF comm in southern New Jersey. They usually want LabWindows/CVI. Since you know c/c++, LW/cvi would be a cake walk for you.
Parts of California are also looking hot. I just got this from my net-temps search agent:

  • Part time LabVIEW programmer needed

    Hi All,
I am looking for a part time LabVIEW programmer to help maintain and enhance
    an existing LabVIEW application.
The company is located in Central Florida area - someone local would be most
desireable. The program is fairly complex and interfaces with proprietary
DAQ hardware. If you have less than 2 years of experience, its probably
more than you would want to tackle.
Goto http://www.rgm-isis.com/ to see product info
http://www.rgm-isis.com/prod01.htm here is one of the few screen shots.
If you are interested please respond to [email protected], please don't
respond to the E-Mail that this is posted from.
The web site also has phone numbers and addresses.
    Thanks
    Chris

    Chris;
I realize you are looking for a permanent Labview programmer, but you might find the flexibility and cost effectiveness of having a contractor working on a project basis an attractive alternative.
We are a small group of programmers who specialize in, but are definitely not limited to, LabVIEW and DAQ applications. Our model is a little unusual in that we contract through a company in Connecticut, while we are individually located throughout the country (CT, TX, AZ, CA).
Every one of us has a degree in some engineering discipline with varied levels and types of industry experience. We try to match up an engineer(s) to a particular assignment based on their expertise. They also become the point of contact for all contract negotiations.
    Generally, we tr
y to complete a project with minimal to no site visits, for two main reasons: it helps us keep the cost of a project down; given the scope of most one-time assignments, it is completely unnecessary. We have enough instrumentation and equipment to test most smaller systems. Granted, we may not own any particular instrument that you happen to be using (we won't have a $30k Tektronix logic analyzer!), but we can make special arrangements as required.
If you are interested and want further information, feel free to contact me at [email protected]
    Regards
    Eric
