    Hi,
I have completed my sap fico training, but i don't have any experience. I am an MBA finance having 6.6 years experience in accounts. Then can I get job in SAP field? & what type of course will do after MBA Finance? i want to do career in SAP Fico.

    Hi Mahesh,
as you have more than 6 yrs. experience , you can opt for sap field but the main thing is that still if your job hunt will get ended, you will be considered as ab fresher, so are you ready for those bucks you will get after you will become a sap FI/CO consultant.
Please understand one thing , if you wnats to make your career in sap field, you are most welcome, when it comes to a job for you in SAP FI/CO , you have to consider in your brain only middle or small size industry, because as far as i concern no single major company will provide you exposure to work with them (if you will get, its your good fortune). So, if you have decided to take a step ahead in sap FI/CO i will not give you negative thinking, if you are ready to negotiate in your renumeration in starting your career, then you can take a foot ahead, but look a job in middle size or small companies only, i think through this you will get any exposure more easily.

  • Will a Certificate help a 2 year experience person?

    Hello all,
I have about 2 years experience in SAP , mostly in FI, GL, OTC, OTP and a little bit in CO.
I am currently in US and having a job as SAP Functional analyst.
Is it s good idea for me to do SAP certification?
Which certification I can take and hjow much it costs?
    Regards

Taking up Certification will always add advantage to your profile.
To your questions whether it will help you in career or in future is based on how you taking it.
I hope presently you're working with SAP FI and you have almost 2 years Domain Experience. So if you're comfortable with SAP FI process flow and interested to move up in same platform. Then it is the right choice.
And please do not expect sudden change in job or Salary hike, it might be difficult for you to find the perfect fit of SAP FI consultant opening in market. So be prepared mentally for that.
Just go through this posting, this will help you to understand the certification usage better:
Top 10 Myths about SAP Certification

If I do SAP certification from Siemens after quiting my job then will it be helpful. My current CTC approx Rs. 8 Lacs per annum.
Whether Siemens can provide good placement with a reasonable hike in salary with this profile.

Moderator: You may please move this thread to right forum.
SAP Certification is not a bench mark for good job. It is only a stepping stone to expand yourself. There are many people successful without certification. Many people are unsuccessful with Certification. At the end of the day, everybody looks for money, but the passion drives you. You should learn SAP with passion. That passion brings you money. If you want to learn SAP just for the sake of getting some decent hike, better not to learn. I am not discouraging you, but learn SAP with passion, then other monetary benefits will follows you. If I am in your position, I do not bother what salary I am getting, but join because I am getting job to work on SAP. That's what you should consider. Once you get real experience, then you can dictate the terms with Employers.
    All the best.

The string is often used in LV as a general buffer. Type Cast the
string as the appropriate integer and it should be fine. If the integer
    has been transmitted in litt
le endian byte order, you will need to use
the Advanced byte and word swapping functions in LV in order to reorder
the integer contents -- LV always assumes big-endian binary format.

  • What is expected from a two year experience ABAPer

    Hi guys,
After working in ABAP for one year... what will be the expected experience from a two years experience ABAPer?
I have three years of experience in .NET and one year experience in ABAP.
I have finished my training a year ago in ABAP.
    Any suggestion?
    William Wilstroth

    Hello William,
This is a rather difficult question, due to it's highly subjective nature. What an employer wants is something that cannot really be predicted.
some of them might want very strong skills in SAP Script and SMARTFORMS, while they really may not care if you have not worked on BDC. Some may want very good knowledge about the BADI and User-Exits concepts, while they don't mind if you are not familiar with LSMW, for instance.
If you're looking for a job, then please read the job requirements carefully. That is the best source for the kind of information you're seeking.

  • How to set the User rights to use DAQ/IMAQ in WinXP as general(=limited) user

When I install Software, written in LabVIEW (build an executable/installer), as administrator it works fine. But when I switch over to a user account with limited rights (we are talking about WinXP) it will not run and gives error messages. It happend to me at two almost the same computers, one with a DAQ-board, and one with an IMAQ-board. (At the computer with IMAQ1411 -> I also checked MAX -> errors/no access.) What to do?

    Hello,
I investigated the issue further. To work around this problem you should add write permissions to the C:\Program Files\National Instruments folder. Be sure that all subfolders and files are awarded write permission. This should solve your problems. eventually you could break it up to one file which must be set to write permission but by setting the whole folder to write permission you solve this problem for many other drivers to so you would not run into this everytime you use different hardware.

Search for online training institutes on the net. Each of these gives a demo. By attending the demo make a selection of the institute.
On Youtube too, there are lots of SD training videos. Check those.

  • Simultaneous Control Using GPIB / DAQ

I am working on a project that is a continuation of a previous project. It involves controlling the temperature and pressure in two vacuum chambers. The original project controlled only one chamber and the original code contained a number of global variables. In order to control the temperature and pressure, the LabVIEW code reads in values from a data logger thru the GPIB interface. To regulate the temperature/pressure, a DAQ card is used to control a heater and a series of pressure valves. The client wishes to keep the original code and is asking me to incorporate code to accomodate the second chamber. One computer will be running identical LabVIEW programs(with different global variables and sub-VIs), one to control each chamber.
I am fairly new to LabVIEW and looking for a starting place or sample code that I can look at. I have duplicated the current code, renaming sub-VIs and global variables. The solution I have come up with so far is to have a VI that does all of the reading and writing, but I am unsure as to how the chamber LabVIEW programs will access it whenever a reading is needed or the temperature/pressure needs to be adjusted.
If further explanation or the original code is needed let me know, and thanks in advance for any advice that can be offered

    Hi lrsantos,
It's unfortunate that you have to maintain the original architecture of the code, because this type of application would most likely be better implemented in a single top-level VI with subVIs. However, if that is not an option, I understand.
So, using notifiers you are able to easily transfer information between "independently-running" VIs. There is a very good example program on this (Wait on Multiple Notifiers.vi) that ships with LabVIEW. You can access this by going to Help->Find Examples->Search "notifiers". This actually does almost exactly what you are thinking about doing. You can make a 3rd VI that reads the information off of the USB port and then sends that information (via Notifier1 or Notifier2, depending on the chamber) to its respective VI. For example, one VI would be waiting for a notification (and data) from Notifier1 and the other VI from Notifier2. You could then process this information accordingly. Like I mentioned, this shipping example should show you exactly how to do this with the exception of 1 thing. If you are passing notifiers between top-level VIs, you will need to write the "notifier out" to a global from your 3rd VI and read it back into your 1st and 2nd VIs (to be passed to Wait on Notification functions).
As far as priority goes, you won't need to do anything. The way that I described the "3rd" VI as operating is more like a Producer of data and the "1st" and "2nd" VIs act like Consumers. Therefore, the Consumer VIs don't ever really "access" the 3rd VI, they are actually sent data from the 3rd VI.
    Hope this helps!

  • 1 year experience in NetWeaver installations- Whats next ?? help needed..!

    Hi Gurus,
Iam a BE graduate(electronics) and have been working in a small company  basically doing plain installation of Netweaver ,XI, ECC systems installations will little configurations.
I feel there is no much future in this domain.
I want to switch team or take other roles to help me reach my goal of becoming a <b>Funtional Consultant</b><u></u>..
If I am given  a role of <b>funtional tester </b>will it be okay to take this role.. or a role in <b>support</b> will help me reach the goal.
Please help me in this regard.!!
PS: replies will be appreciated and rewarded...

I agree with what you say about new technologies coming along but they will all need basis input to get them up and running.  Visual Composer isn't all it is cracked up to be (in my opinion) but that's a separate issue...
Whilst I'm sure the E-SOA achitecture will enable functional people to implement some business logic I still believe there will be a large requirement for technical people - functional people will only be able to build fancy xApps based on underlying services which will still need to be built by a developer, on a system installed and configured by a basis person.  They won't be able to magic functionality up out of thin air!
You're right that functional people have more exposure to business processes (development people do as well in my personal opinion - in 10 years I've worked as an ABAP developer, PP/MM functional consultant and more recently Web development (portals, Web dynpro, etc.) and all along I've gained wide business process experience with the benefit that I've worked in most of SAP's modules not just 1 or 2.)   I've kept up with most of SAPs new technologies but never had to unlearn anything - in fact most technologies serve as good foundations for newer solutions.  The trick is to keep learning!
The key thing here for you is possibly your MBA desires - I'd say this leads more to you moving towards functional work as you will no doubt gain more relevant experience that will help your goals.
My experiences have taught me a really good consultant has a good understanding of numerous areas of SAP and technical knowledge is always useful on a project regardless of the functionality being implemented.
    Hope this helps
    Gareth.
