Freetalk Connect me firmware not upgrading
My Freetalk connect me firmware is not upgrading. I contacted the ebuy and they asked me various details such as:
- What is your order number so that we may identify your order? - What color is the light on the device? Is it steady or flashing? - What is the Firmware version you currently have? - What operating system do you have? - What is the location you are connecting it from? - Who is your Internet service provider? DSL or Cable Modem? - What make and model is your modem/router? - Do you have any additional networking devices on your network? (WIFI access points, switches and similar). If so please list them all.
I gave them all the information and after that they are just not replying back. I am stuck with version 1.0.1 updated on 8/12/2011 without any caller id and lot of static. I want to return it back but don't know what to do. It's definitely not brininging good name for Skype. I would rather prefer vonage who are atleast responsive.
Can someone please help me?
The device is connected from more than 2 weeks and I have windows 7 and Mac Lion. I think Skype should intervene in this matter.
Why doesn't freetalk provide a forced upgrade option so that user can manually update the firmware..The firmware has still not updated. I have provided all the information they eBuy has asked and also unhooked, hooked back the device. Am I still missing anything?

Here's a few more things to check while you send me the site name:
Try the link you pasted above on a local device on that network, and see how long it takes to download.
Are you using a proxy for http traffic? This could be blocking it.

Freetalk ConnectMe latest firmware update
Freetalk Connect Me firmware was updted lately ( around Oct 27th 2011).
Since then my phone rings 3 times and then stops ringing. If I am fast enough, I can answer the phone otherwise goes to my voicemail.
Has anybody else experienced the same issue?Closing this thread to maintain its integrity.

Just upgraded to Lion an am discovering that I cannot send email photos from within iPhoto. Error message says bad Internet connection or server not working, when that's not the case. Never happened in Snow Leopard! Help!!!

I upgraded my Iphone to IOS6, but now I can't connect it to itunes (10.6.3) because it is not upgraded. However, when I want to upgraded, it says that my computer (imac Mac OS 10.5.8) needs to be upgraded to another version. I can't find anything to help me out.
You need iTunes 10.7 or later.

I have not been able to stay connected to Internet since upgrade to os 7. Other devices no issues just iPad 2. HELP, please and thank you.

Firefox will not connect to internet after upgrade. The window pops up but shows "connecting " in tab. And then it sit there. Close it down and then try to reopen it and get message " Firefox already running, Exit program or shut down computer" ?????????????????

The Connection Server does not start after an upgrade to BO4.1 SP3
We are in process to upgrade our Business Objects environments to BO4.1 SP3
The first 2 environments , the upgrade went fine. But the third environment de connection server won’t start.
When I always try to start it returns me a failed status and shows me that the server is considered failed because it has stopped 5 time(s) in 60 minute(s).
Our OS is AIX

Who can shed some light on my ongoing connection problem.
After upgrading my iPad Air with IOS 7.06, I could no longer connect to the internet.
I have 2 MacBooks Air, 1 ipad mini and one iPhone 4S running on the same network, and they are all connected to the net and function well.
So I cleaned up the ipad completely, installed the latest firmware and reinstalled my apps : no connection.
I tried all things of resets and forgets. No result.
I have been fondling with my Airport Extreme 5 , but that did not help much.
This morning I went to a neighbor , hooked my ipad air on his network, typed the password and the thing all worked fine.
I have tried to connect the ipad air as an ethernet client, but that did not work. „Not enough power“ was the statement
Ideas anyone ?Yes I tried this manyfold. But did not work. Reading on, I took Tesserac's advice. Shut down router and computer.
Start router after 15 minutes and wait another 10 minutes before starting the computer.
Et voila.... everything is back in working order,

After updating my iphone 4 with the ios 6 update. My iphone would no longer connect to my home wifi that is password protected. I know that I have the right password entered in. At work we have a free wifi connection that does not require a password and I can connect no problem to it. My ipod touch has no problem connecting to my home wifi. It is a 3rd gen ipod and does not have the ios 6 update on it. Please help!
I'm having the same issues. Started when I upgraded iphone 4S and ipad1 to 5.1.1. Wife's iphone 4g on 4.4.2 has been ok. I've forgot the network on both devices and restored the iphone, none of which changed the issue. I've upgraded to ios 6 on the iphone 4s, problem still persists.
One thing that will help for a time: go to your router and change the wireless control channel. When I first did this I got full connectivity for about 48 hours... and now the problem is back. I'm now changing the wireless control channel every 12 hours, which is a pain but at least keeps me connected. I've tried a few other solutions that are out there and that has been the best one so far.
to do this on a motorola router: type 192.168.0.1 in your address bar.
username: admin and password:motorola if you have not changed the factory defaults.
Click on the word "wireless" and look for the "control channel" field. This may be set to auto or to 1, try changing it to 6 or 11 (preferred) or any other channel.
The control channel can cause static in the wireless system IF there are several networks nearby that are on the default setup.
There is a fair bit of buzz about this issue out there, some other things I've seen:
This is a hardware issue. Go to the store and have your wifi antenna checked, some users reporting that they get free replacement devices.
Check against other wifi networks that require a password (this is next for me). Logon to those networks and surf until your wifi stops. If your wifi connects to the internet but stops responding, then this is a software (or hardware) issue and apple needs to step up. Some are claiming this to be the case.
IF you connect and stay connected/on the internet on another password protected wifi, then the issue is with your router. this is where things get cute.
Comcast may tell you to update your firmware. Motorola may tell you that your cable provider is the only one who can push through firmware updates. Comcast may tell you that you are not in an area that is being updated. It's unclear if they say that to all customers, or just those who have purchased cable modems and aren't renting them from comcast.
Good luck, more to come if I figure out anything else, and please post any solutions you may find. -
5800 Connection Manager is not working correctly
I have my preferred connections setup with my home WLAN as priority, then my cell phone provider (ATT) as the last priority. The connection manager switches from my WLAN to ATT everytime I go out of range of my WLAN fully automatically. So that part is working as designed.
The problem is when I get back to my home WLAN the connection manager doesn't automatically drop the EDGE or 3G connection and connect to my WLAN.
To make things worse, even if I kill the EDGE or 3G connection manually, it may or may not pick up my WLAN and start using it.
Then, if I can get the WLAN to connect, the connection manager will insist on connecting to the EDGE/3G connection and disconnecting the WLAN.
This is crazy behavior. I've been pretty happy with the phone's stability over my old N78, but I hope to Zeus that a Firmware upgrade will be release that fixes this bug. It drives me nuts.
So far the only way I can get the connection manager to resume it's expected behavior is to power off the phone and pull the battery. Then it will behave for a few days before becoming schizophrenic.
If you have any tips on how to correct this behavior, I'd appreciate hearing it.

First, you may get much better response if you post in the appropriate forum. in you case, "Connectivity."
Dropping an active connection & switching to another connection is probably not designed behavior. So in your case if the 3G connection is active, I can understand why it is not switching to WLAN. I can also see why it might be a "nice-to-have" feature, but in some cases dropping an active connection may cause problems with applications that are using it, so you may end up with more problems if the connection kept changing (maybe).
Firmware upgrade will not change as-designed behavior, but what you're describing sounds like there's some application which is configured to use either "default" or the 3G connection. What I would do is look through all applications that are using the net and check the connection settings in each one and make sure it's set to use "Internet"
Another thing you can do is set the AT&T connection to "always ask" mode so that it doesn't get used without you clicking OK.

I am trying to reload my firmware onto my Zen Micro 5GB but the firmware tool keeps asking me to connect the device. It is connected to the USB cable and my computer recognises it (i can access it through My Computer and it shows up in the device listings). The firmware tool doesn't recognise it though. Before I lost the firmware, the Zen Media Explorer also would not recognise it, even though the Media Source did. I don't know how to reload my firmware on to the player now.Can anyone help?
I've had a look at some posts that state that roll back (or install) WMP0. However, I can't do that as my system won't let me. It states that WMP0 is incompatible with my Windows (XP Home SP2). It says to go to Details for further information, but this brings up a Windows webpage that is no longer present. I just can't figure out how to force the firmware to upgrade when the firmware program wont recognise that it is connected.
