Where are all the movies?

Where are all the movies to rent? The lineup is horrendous. I keep hoping that one day there will be a ton of content. So far it’s severely limited. I thought a bunch of movie studios signed up for this.

I'm with you I am a Si Fi junkie and the SiFi channel is not even on their list of stations, but the main flux is there are a whole bunch of really great shows that I would love to see. I figure Apple is charging a premium for TV and Movie content, why than is the Apple offerings so small, I would think it would be to there interest to offer a huge library as its maturing you would think they would be more fulfilling in supply. I love they way I can watch shows and don't have to fast forward through them, But am missing a whole lot of shows that could be offered. Must be a big process for them to put there restrictions of use making it harder and a longer process to add content, Come on Apple give Apple TV more resources, before the competition matures and people are renting from other sources.I really enjoy the Apple TV quality and ease of use, but there will be a time when PC comes out with an easer and as good of quality UI with a larger library. So where is all the content?

In my opinion, this is the best procedure to use to update your BB OS:

However, the official download site:

shows your installed OS to be the current version from your carrier. Therefore, how your friends got a newer OS is a question to ask them and/or your carrier.
You are, of course, free to use (via the above procedure) any carriers OS package...if another has the newer OS you want, you can use it. If you choose to do so, then simply insert, between steps 1 and 2 in the above procedure, the deletion, on your PC, of a file named VENDOR.XML

I downloaded a movie from itunes on my ipad. In the downloaded area where the movie should be, I only get a link to "iItunes Terms and Conditions", no movie. There is nowhere to accept the terms and conditions.

Editing text in PDFs - only the numbers are missing the font

When editing text in a PDF (created in InDesign), I can edit all the text EXCEPT for any numbers. When I try to input a number, I get the message "The original font XXXX is not available or can't be used in editing. Acrobat is using the font Arial in its place". It then places other characters in its place - not sure what they are but they're not numbers. Anyone have any idea what is causing this?

Apparently, the HINDI DIGITS checkbox under Preferences\Languages is by default checked. This ridiculous default resulted in Arabic numbers when editing the PDF in Acrobat. Editing text was fine, but whenever I would type in a number, it would appear as Arabic characters.

According to About this Mac, Get info...my movie storage is over 100 gig but can't seem to find it anywhere on my computer? I've got about 20Gig in my Movies and Music folder but can't seem to see anything else anywhere. Where esle can I check?
Where do Mobile Applications get classified in About this Mac Get Info? Cuz I've got 26 Gig in there. And where do all the movies you take in iPhotos get stored? As part of Photos? Or Movies?

Thanks Macjack. So I've got 100 Gig in Dropbox in my user folder...I didn't think drop box would take up space on your computer? I tought I could transfer everything off my computer into dropbox, and delete everything in my computer folders that I transfered to dropbox? I tried to do this but everything disappeared in Drop box and my user folder. Must they be the same and is the information then duplicated?
So what I did was copied everything in my documents and my iPhoto library into dropbox. Then deleted everything in my documents folder (not iPhotos cuz that's still transferring over!) and after a day or two everything was gone from dropbox as well...luckily I had it all backed up and was able to bring it back. So is everything duplicated then? On my computer and drop box?

FCP Project freezing in some areas of the Movie in IDVD 08

I have done a dvd movie in Final Cut Pro 5 I have exported in Quicktime. Placed it in the IDVD 08 and when checked it plays most of the movie however it gets stuck in some places (same each time) the audio keeps playing then the movie unfreezes after a few seconds and then goes again. I have gone back to Final Cut to check the footage and it plays fine and it is all OK however, in IDVD it freezes in some points. How do I create a chart where the lower numbers are at the top?

I'm charting data that shows a ranking, where the rank can be a number anywhere from 1 to 1000. 1 is the highest. When I create a chart, 1 is at the bottom. How do I flip the chart so 1 is at the top and 1000 at the bottom?

I think Bad Units suggestion is similar and better. Rather than simply inverting the sign to that with an offset:
I suggested
0 - n

100 - n
(assuming there are 100 ranks) if there are A ranks then I suggest (like Bad Unit):
A - n
This can be accomplished by moving the current data to another column, then performing the calculation in the column where the chart takes its' data.
move the data over to an adjacent column
Now enter the formula to adjust the rankings:
B2=100-C2
select B2 and fill down as needed. To do this for a large data set select, and copy, B2. Then select B2 and scroll to the end of the colunm using the scroll bar then shift-click the last cel in the column, then paste.

I think they are any device associated with your Apple ID that you have downloaded items from the apple or iTunes Store to. I'm sorry that I don't understand all this. My account shows that I have my iPad and 2 iPhones in use but I have had a lot of phones and I don't know which ones I used. One of them may also belong to my ex husband. Yuck

There was a post on a similar subject a while back. I'm searching for it now. The gist of it was you will need a second column that is the negative of your numbers. It had to do with the X axis but you could apply it to the Y axis as well.

Right align page numbers that are to the left of TOC entries

I posted a similar question about a year ago that I believe Harbs or Peter answered, but darned if I can find the thread. At that time they provided a script that did a GREP search, finding a sentence that starts with a digit and replacing it with a tab. I still have the script, but for some reason it is not working correctly with my new TOC layout.It should insert a tab to the left of the page number (page numbers are to the left of the TOC entries), and force the numbers to right align so that a single digit page number right aligns with the right edge of a double-digit page number.
Find: ^(\d+)
Change to: \t$1
What happens in the new TOC is the script finds a digit and inserts a tab to the left of the page number. The page numbers move to the right, but they don't right align. They are further to the right, but they numbers themselves are still left aligned.
I'm mystified as to why the script doesn't work on this new layout. I'm using CS4 now, and it still works on the old layout. There is nothing terribly different about the new layout except that the column is much narrower, and there are several threaded colums in the TOC instead of one long column, and the chapter titles don't have page numbers (but all other entries do have page numbers.)

Under the movies radio button, only 8 of 460 movies are listed

After my latest update (12/24/12), when I have selected "movies" in the dropdown menu on the left corner of itunes and select the movies radio button, only 8 of the 460 movies in my itunes library are shown. The same eight are the only ones shown when I select the "unwatched" button. Where the others appear, however, is under the "home videos" and "list" bottons. Why are the videos missing from the "movies" button, why were they classed as home videos, and how do I reclassify them as movies?

figured it out:
Select one or more movies in your collection. Choose Get Info. Select the Options tab and change Media Kind to Movie. The modified items will alphabetically show under Movies when you are in the Movies section of iTunes 11.

My Freeview Channels Have Disappeared

I wonder if this has happened to anyone else and if there's an inexpensive solution?
We used to get various BTV channels - BT Sport, Catch Up and On Demand - which we still do - but ever since the 23rd June upgrade, all my freeview channels have disappeared from the TV guide. The HD channels are listed but can't view those as we dont live in a BT Infinity-covered area (at least, we didnt last time I checked + they said they would email me when that changed). I have scanned repeatedly for channe;ls to see if I can recover the Freeview Channels but still no luck; so I now have no live TV except the 2 Sport Channels and zero radio stations either.

Well it could still be a poor signal or no signal coming down the aerial cable in which case none of the following would make a blind bit of difference, but here goes anyway.
(1) Try unplugging both aerial cable and ethernet cable from the back of the BT Vision+ box and doing the rescan. This should ensure it finds absolutely nothing, not even the BT Sport channels. Then plug them both back in and try the rescan again.
(2) Hold down the rectangular blue standby button on the front of the box for about 7 seconds. It will turn purple (standby), then flash red (eco standby), and then go off completely at which point the box will restart. Let go of the button and let it go through the restart process. Then try a rescan.
(3) The same as above but at the same time as holding the rectangular button also hold down both the OK+Down buttons on the front of the box. You can let go of those once the box restarts and you see the screen about software updating appear. Can be a bit tricky to do on your own.
.. and if you are feeling really brave ...
(4) The same as above but at the same time as holding the rectangular button also hold down both the Left+Down buttons on the front of the box. You can let go of those once the box restarts and you see the screen about resetting appear.
IMPORTANT: This will do a factory reset and all your recordings, scheduled recordings and other personal settings will be lost.
A simpler way to initiate the factory reset is just to go to Help & Settings > Settings > System Information and select the Factory Reset button at the bottom of the page.
