Hello roboz79
I have a Windows XP/IE8 follow the instructions below. P.S. the settings is the key to making it all work.
#1  As a user, I'd recommend uninstalling the debug player and grabbing the normal version.  You'll get better performance and these errors won't pop up on you. P.S. "Start from scatch"  uninstall shockwave or any other Adobe plug-in or Adobe programs "before you reninstall".
#2
Settings:
"left click" and under setting/display/-Enable hardware acceleration/Privacy/-deny/Local storage/-100KB/record volume/-somewhere in the middle works/Camera/-Not sure if you have one?
#3
Global Settings:
Click start/ control panel/ Flash Player Icon/Local Storage Settings/-Allow sites to save information on this computer/Camera and Mic/-Ask me when a site wants to use the camera or microphone (Recommended)/ Playback/-Ask me when a site want to use a peer-assisted networking/ Advanced/-Check for updates automatically (Recommended).
then re-boot and hopefully everything will work....I hope lol

  • Mac Problems with Flash Player 10.3.181.34

    Hallo,
I have installed Flash Player 10.3.181.34 and it works fine, when I tried to change my desktop-picture in the system settings it doesn't work. There was a crash-report that told me: Perhaps the crash comes from the flash-plugin. After I uninstall the Flash Player 10.3.181.34 , there was no problem to change the desktop-picture. Is there somebody,  have the same problem.

  • Computr freezes up with flash player

I have Windows 7 and when I go into facebook to play my games flash player freezes up my window and I have to control, alt, delete.  Please help.

This password prompt is presented by your operating system, and is intended to keep you from accidentally installing software.
If this is your personal machine and you don't need a password to log into the computer when it first starts up, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to get past this prompt.  If this is your personal machine and your normal password isn't working, check to make sure that CAPS LOCK is off, and type the password carefully.
If this is your work machine and it's asking for an Administrator password, well, you'll need to have a conversation with your friendly IT person.
If you're still stumped, you may need to reset the password on your Mac:

  • Massive problems with Flash player

I think it started about last week, after an update: every time I watch a video (whether it be on YouTube or elsewhere) that is longer than 5 minutes (and often shorter), the video starts stuttering after a few minutes. First the framerate slows down to about 1 frame every 3-4 seconds before grinding to a complete halt, almost freezing all of my computer in the process until I close the tab, although sometimes a full reboot is needed. The audio largely remains unaffected.
When I upgraded the Flash player, the problems persisted. Turning off hardware acceleration seems to have helped but I am not sure--I have had some audio problems since disabling this. It's odd and really very frustrating as I have a very decent video card. What is going on here? How can this be fixed? What do I miss out on by disabling hardware acceleration?
I am currently using Firefox 5 with Flash player 10,3,181,34 on Windows Vista 32bit.

Hi, if you have Flash Player installed correctly and it's working but having issues with video playback, take a look at what some of the reasons can be.

You can download flash player from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer or http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions
Please let us know if you encounter any difficulties.

I still have a problem, that I'll repost as I was somewhat frustrated  the first time I posted it and made a snappy remark when someone posted  a solution to a problem that at best only vaguely resembled mine, upon  which the villagers took to their torches and pitchforks and decided  that I didn't deserve the joys of a normally working Flash player; the second thread was ignored altogether and I even  called the local Adobe support line this morning, to no avail.

When I run this code in Firefox with flash player 10,it is working as expected(When I go to tab2,application goes to fullscreen. When tab1,normal state). But in flash player 10.1,I can go to tab2.But cannot select tab1 again. It stays as fullscreen with tab2 selected.
Any idea why this is so?

I think that the issue is not with flashplayer but with firefox 3.5+ .The problem is that the swf cannot receive any mouse events while in full screen mode in FF 3.5+.In FF 3 and other browsers, this is working as expected.I searched a lot in the internet but did not find anything fruitful.Anyone has experienced this issue?

  • Youtube/Firefox/Flash player 10.3.181.34 bug

Hi, i have a weird problem with flash player on youtube. If i press esc while watching a video on youtube the flash player plugin crash.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Open firefox.
    2. Open youtube.
    3. Open any youtube video
    4. Change to full screen.
    5. Press esc.
    Result: flash player crashes.
I don't have this problem with embedded youtube videos, just with www youtube com.
Downgrading to Flash Player 10.2.159.1 or disabling hardware acceleration fixes the problem.
This problem started when youtube changed their video frame to black some weeks ago...
So i'm confused i don't know if it is a Youtube problem, flash player problem, firefox problem or something else.
    Pc spec:
    Intel core 2 duo E7300
    nvidia 8400 gs

Hi, surfing in the web i find a feasible workaround "A quick fix is to swap watch?v= with embed/ in the URL" from ubuntu forums "http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=10516541&postcount=6".
I follow your advice and filed a new bug report fp-7485 but i dont' know why(security reason maybe) it's flagged as private.
I hesitate to upgrade the nvidia driver to the latest version 275.33 due a bug not fixed yet that messed up the nvidia control panel, the profiles, etc. But as soon as they fix it i will try.

  • Does firefox have the same problem as internet explorer with flash player

IE is having problems with adobe flash player. Before I download it on Mozilla platform I need to know if Mozilla is also having issues with flash player.

There are some known issues with the Shockwave Flash plugin for Firefox that some are suffering from, so you will have install the plugin to see if you need to take action and how the plugin works.
In case there are problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions, you can try this:
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
    See also:
A possible option is to set the Flash plug to click-to-play by setting the permissions for Flash to "Ask To Activate" in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins".<br />
That way you can activate the Flash plugin when you need it via the Lego block icon on the location bar.

  • Computer Freezing using adobe flash player

Hello, I have been using adobe flash player for a very long time and this issue has only appered recently.
My computer would freeze for 1-3 mins when I watch youtube or watch streams( pretty much anything that uses adobe flash player)
at first I thought it was my laptop but found that no one else had this issue and then I realized it might be the flash player ( smart right? )
I am not sure what I must do to solve this issue please Help. I have the NV53 gateway laptop Windows 7 and I use firefox and google chrome, both had the same issue when watching videos.
Please help, I never had this issue before and it was only with the recent update of adobe flash player. The freezes are random but when it occurs the screen freezes and the audio is still playing but super slow and it is very loud Please Help thank you!

Can you verify that you are using the latest version of Flash Player?  You can get the latest version here:  get.adobe.com/flashplayer
If you continue to have problems, please see this FAQ for some suggested solutions and details on what additional information we'll need to investigate further.

  • Webcast problems with Flash Player 11.7.700.169 and IE9

I recently started to have problems viewing slides during webcasts from TalkPoint/Lightwave.  I have Windows 7 64-bit and IE9 (both 32-bit and 64-bit).  When the webcas starts, the audio is fine, but the slides are not shown.  If I remove Flash Player, I can see the slides.  With Flash Player installed, I can view the webcast fine in Chrome and Firefox, but not IE9.  Looks like another incompatiblity between Flash Player and IE9.  Does anyone have a solution/workaround or should I try to download an earlier version of Flash Player.  Perhpas IE10 is a fix.

I'm having the same issue; non-HTML5 videos won't play. Specifically they start for a couple seconds and then freeze. I'm running Windows XP and Firefox.. I tried de-selecting hardware acceleration, increased the local storage, and I don't know what else to do. XP, Firefox, and Flash are all the latest versions.
This has only been for the last 2-3 weeks, and the only things that have changed are updated Flash, updated Firefox, and supervisor installed Norton while I was on vacation.
    Please, any suggestions?
ETA: And just like that, it's working! I think that I probably should have restarted the computer after changing my settings yesterday. Or not; still confused but relieved.

I have confirmed his complaint. stopAllSounds works correctly
across multiple swfs on an html page using Flash player 8 but not
    with Flash Player 9.
Incidentally, there is another big "improvement" (they say)
that prevents you from uninstalling the Flash 9 player without
    running
their uninstaller exe. Unfortunately, their uninstaller
uninstalls all flash player versions (not just version 9) from ALL
    browsers
so if just want to remove player 9 from IE you are forced to
also uninstall it from FireFox etc as well. Great, huh?

  • Camera just up and stopped working with flash player. SUUUUPER annoying. Any ideas?

    Hi:
Windows XP SP3 32bit, latest updates applied
    Firefox 3.6.6 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0E))
    IE 8.0.6001.18702
    Flash Player 10,1,53,64
HP EliteBook 8530w with built-in HP camera (brand spankin' new).
So Flash Player today decided it doesn't want to work with my webcam. I have pulled my hair out trying to figure out what the problem is. The camera works fine with other video camera software, such as Adobe Flash Live Encoder 3.1, for example, or the various Microsoft cam tools. But Flash Player just won't see it. When I visit a website that uses the camera through flash, all I get is a black box. I never get the privacy screen that asks me if I would like to allow the site temporary access to my camera. If i go into my settings, and go to the camera tab, it shows my camera device in the dropdown box. But you know how if you double-click the little box under the dropdown, it should activate your camera and display a little video inside that box? That doesn't work for me. All I get is this:
It doesn't matter if I use FF or IE. I've re-installed Flash Player, both the FF version and the Ax version. To no avail. I've logged into my computer as a different user, because hell maybe it's some weird dumb thing in the Flash Player cache or something. Nope.
Now here's the super, super, super annoying part: I just recently moved to this laptop and one of the things I was looking forward to was a computer where my webcam would FINALLY work with flash player again. Yes, that's right: my old computer had this exact same problem. And in both cases, at one point the camera worked with Flash player no problem, and then at some point, it just stopped working.
This makes me think, of course, that the problem is some nefarious piece of software I've installed, but I can't think of what that is. I know the camera was working with my new computer as early as last week. Recently I've installed a bunch of software, including Adobe Media Live Encoder 3.1, Flash Professional CS5, and the Adobe Connect add-in. I've uninstalled everything except CS5, because, hey, who wants to re-install that if they don't have to? I'll do that as a last result, but the guy sitting next to me has the entire CS5 suite installed and camera works fine for him with Flash Player (same exact hardware too), so I don't think it's that. Other than that, I dunno. I've got VS2008 and 2010 installed. GoToMeeting. Office. That's about it.
So. Any ideas? Any thoughts on how I could even start to debug the issue? Logging or something? Any help is much appreciated.

    Yes.
    Victory is mine.
    VICTORY IS MINE!!!
    Solution:
    Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg
    Set
    AVHardwareDisable=1
    to:
    AVHardwareDisable=0
Restart your browser. Done. Camera works now.
I really want to shout this solution from the rooftops, because try Googling the solution sometime. I did. I failed. You will too. Hopefully if I use some more 18-point bold font, Google will index it faster, because that's the way it works right?
I actually had no idea that Flash Player has a folder in Windows\system32 at all, and I definitely had no idea that this file existed. I am guessing some stinking app I installed decided I needed AVHardwareDisable set to 1 for some reason (effers). I found out about the location by just lazily searching through the windows registry for "Flash Player" and eventually saw it pointing to that directory. A little more poking around and I found this file.
Those of you who actively support this forum: please keep this in the back of your mind, next time someone has audio/video input problems with Flash Player. I've found an awful lot of forum posts from people with cameras not working, and I bet a good portion of them need this fix. Reinstalling Flash Player will not fix it. Here's hoping the solution comes up in Google for the next unlucky soul.

  • Problems with flash Player

So I'm having a problem with flash player, and was wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing, or might be able to help.
    - Upgraded 2 computers to snow leopard, macbook pro laptop, and mac Pro tower (intel proc).
    - Laptop has no problems, everything renders fine, and without any difficulty.
    - Mac Pro doesn't display any dynamic data, text fields show up blank, some flash player controls don't work, brightcove player won't load completely... things are just not working right.
    - Main browser is Safari, but same problem exists in Camino, Firefox, etc...
    - I've had Safari Stand installed, but have since removed it.
    - I've removed GROWL notifications completely
    - I've got debug and developer menus turned on (but have that with the laptop also.)
Please see the screenshot attached. This graph should have text data on it showing the x/y axis, the key, as well as data when you mouse over each block, but doesn't show anything.
The second screen shot shows a brightcove player from our website... There should have full controls at the bottom, and nothing shows up. If I right-click, and go to 'view full screen', I can't then get out of full screen by clicking escape key on the keyboard, I have to use any player controls, or right-click again, and hit 'exit full screen'.
Anyone have any suggestions? It's something to do with my computer, rather than snow leopard, because flash works fine on my laptop, but not on the desktop. Any help is really appreciated !

    Hi!
I reached your post because I was having the exact same issues as you and I found a fix that worked for me! The problem is a font issue: I logged in with the guest account that had no users font installed and flash was working fine, so I logged back into my account and moved all the fonts in my 'User>Library>Fonts' folder in a folder in the desktop. Then I closed and reopened Safari and Flash was working!
In the end the problem was with a version of Arial that I had in my users' font folder: I deleted just that, put my users' font back in the folder and the problem disappeared.
    I hope it hepls!
    best
