Freeze problem in user interface initiatilisation after all NVDIA update and 8.0.1
I just received Pre 8 and installed it
When starting the various modules
- Organiser works more or less fine (it crash when it looks at my folders with 28000 pictures), but it works when doing import folder by folder
- but when I am starting a new project
I never get to the user interface of the software
I get a small red dot and when clicking problem with your driver
I have already looked at the forum
updated at NVidia site
I am running a
Dell Inspiron 1720
Windows 7 , 64 bits, French
4 GB RAM
NVIDIA 8600 M GT
latest NVIDIA driver from July 2010 (version 258.96)
Installed PrE 8 French from the DVD
upgraded to 8.0.1 from the Adobe website
I can not use any of the software function as the screen is fully black and I only see the top level menus
theoptions are availalbe but non of them is working

I've never set Portuguese, so I really don't know what to tell you. It would be my presumption, though, that this sort of feature would be handled in the World-Ready Composers, but clearly there is either a bug or I'm mistaken, or both.
I would suggest you file a bug report at Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form, though I doubt there will be a fix.

Main priority is voice activation upgrade. Ideas about how to proceed appreciated!AFAIK, it's been over three years since a WinXP laptop or desktop PC has been sold; I specifically bought a laptop in June 2008 because it was being clearanced by that retail chain to meet Microsoft's deadline, and got it real cheap. It was tagged for the store manager to purchase, but he let me have it because I exceeded his expectations for the services I performed for his store and thought I deserved it. Anything that wasn't made for Vista-compatibility will be very iffy with Win7, IMO - so that basically rules out anything that was made before like Oct or Nov 2007.
Unless another DNS 11 user happens to see this thread and can verify whether it works in Firefox 6.0 or not, I don't what to recommend except for you doing a web search to see what other DNS / Firefox users have to say about compatibility. -
I can't get to download the app store after all the updates. I have version 10.6.8 and there are no more available updates for my operating system.
Look in the HD/Applications folder.

firefox freezes when I try to type after reboot of pc and is still frozen now. I am using internet exployer right now. This happens every time I reboot my pc. When I try to type I have to use task manager to close the firefox.
I use dogpile.com as my search engine and when I type in the search bar it freezes my page.

I can't synchronyze my contacts with my Iphone after the last update and I lost all my contact I can't find them I suppose they are stocked in my ICloud but I am not sure what I should do ????

I have been having problems with my speaker. After the recent update I am unable to listen to movies, music or apps using my speaker. The volume bar is completely missing. If I plug a headset into the port, the volume bar reappears and then disappears after the headset is removed. This is quite annoying. My child's Apps that he likes to play will not even make a sound. HELP!!!
Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)

After all the updates (itunes 10.6, iphone 5.1, and iphoto) all my photos are suddenly being synced with my iphone. Before I was able to pick the "last 12 months" or last import, or certain album. Now everything is greyed out?
After deleting files, there does not seem much improvement on the disk space.

Download Omni Disk Sweeper: it is free now and will list your files and folders sorted by size.
But don't get carried away and sweep and delete anything that you do not know what is is required for:

I recovered from time machines's backup harddisk
Time Machine may be using the disk space - if you have Time Machine enabled and not the backup drive connected, TM will make local snapshots, if you have free disk space. See Pondini's webpage for more information: Time Machine - Questions 30. What are Local Snapshots?
I disable these local snapshots on my portable macs, to be sure, how much space really is free.

When I load cds i get a message that states, "User not registered for online use." This problem has only begun since the new itunes update and is only a problem on my pc laptop. Media content (track names, etc.) do not load. Thanks

I had uninstalled iMovie 10 after it was updated and decided to reinstall it but it won't update, iMovie 10 update is stuck at installed in my App Store account. How do I get it the update to revert to uninstalled so I can re-update iMovie 10 to 10.0.1? iMovie 9.0.9 (iLife 11) is still installed and working.
What in particular didn't you like about Firefox 6?
You can undo a lot of changes, either via changing settings or prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page or via extensions.

Do a clean reinstall of the version that you want to use.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Apple has instituted auto updating , this is a feature for users to check what has updated recently.
The open button opens the app.
It will keep a rolling list, about 20-3O days back. -
I want all document updates and comment notifications on by default
I got it working and sending mail to exchange. But now I want to be able to control default notification settings. For example: Our company has a phone list in MS-Excel. When it is updated I was everyone to recieve a notification that it is updated. I don't want them to have any choice in the matter.

There is no way to do this. What I would do is put your Settings app on a page itself, so its out of your way. Just ignore your notifactions. I hope this helps!
