Freezes sometimes when connecting to iTunes and an error

Sometimes when I connect my Classic to the PC sometimes my iPod freezes and I have to do a hard restart on it, this happens like 50 percent of the time.
It's still under warranty so should I just get it fixed or is it something I can do in the firmware?
Also I'm fixing the album art issue and I read to uncheck sync and then recheck sync the Display album artwork on my ipod, but then it doesn't go too far until I hit an error. (-50) what does that mean?

In that particular context, a -50 can sometimes be indicating a corrupt piece of album artwork.
Does the 50 always get thrown on the same song? If so, does deleting the artwork from that track allow the display artwork to sync through properly?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore. Has any of this been tried?

You have no choice but to restore the phone.
However, I'm sure you've been smart enough to have backed up your data before starting the most significant update in iOS history,right?

Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)

Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Deleting podcasts when connected to itunes

My nano 6th gen is showing podcasts but they aren't there when connected to itunes and I can't delete them. any help would be appreciated

Well there is a lifetime for EVERYTHING in the iPod, LCD screen, backlight lamp, flash memory that holds all your stuff, the headphone jack number of insertions, click wheel number of presses, number of dock connector insertions, the internal battery, etc.
Keep in mind that the pixels on an LCD and the backlighting the lights it up to see better are independent of each other. The backlight on or off will have no effect on the life of the LCD itself.
As I said above, if you want to be worried about life expectancies of components on the iPod, I would be more concerned with any of the mechanical parts plus the battery before I would worry about the LCD. While LCDs do go bad from time to time, you are far more likely to have an issue with the battery, headphone jack and clickwheel first.

If you have been syncing regularly as the iphone is designed, then you can sync the data back.
Regardless you will have to restore the iphone.

1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.

The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

If you have a graphic of iTunes and a cable displayed on your iDevice then it is in Recovery mode.

Itunes 11.1 is for your computer, not your iphone

You have SCADS of extensions and the things running. McAfee, Intego, Orbicule, CleanMyMac, and others I've not ever even heard of. My first recommendation would be to remove all of these and see if things improve.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:
