My laptop will let me sign on but then it frezes when i try to click on any icon. Please help.

Freezing when I logging in.

Hello.
I have mac mini 2012 (late) with modified RAM and additional SSD (installed using iFixIt dual hard-drive kit). Recently i upgraded to OS X 10.10 and there is a serious problem appeared.
After 3d or 4th reboot my mac start freezing when I logging in. I couldn't doing anything. Dock and Finder didn't work. I couldn't launch any application. This condition lasts for 30 minutes at least, and even after it apps launching very slow.
I tried totally reinstall OS (I formatted both HDD and SSD and splitting it for volumes again), but this problem came back.
I tried to create new user through Single User mode, and freezes finally gone after that, system worked great, but after I reboot my mac third or fourth time it started freezing again.
I hope someone could help me. Thank you.

Some users have reported similar problem with CORSAIR Vengeance memory.

I would try:
- Reseating the memory
- Trying one stick at a time
- Try memory for which the manufacturer says will work in your model Mini

Unable to download application app will be available for download when you log into the itues store on your computer

My Ipad 2 keeps asking:-

If i connect it to the computer it is fine for around a week then it starts asking to be connected again, Is their any reason for this? as it is very annoying espicailly when access to a pc is difficult

There is a 20mb file size limit over 3G.
If you can connect via wifi, there is no file size limit.
If that is not what you mean, I have no idea-never heard of or seen a message like you describe.

How to see the BPS menu options when you log-in to the systems

Hello All:
I am able to use BPS0 and BPS_WB transactions to directly access the BPS development environment.
But I am not able to see the options for accessing these transactions in the user-menu(that appears to the left of the screen when you log-in to the system). I am using the BW 3.5 system. What should I do to see them in my menu?

Hello Ajay,
I created a new role called "zrole" for displaying planning trasactions in the menu. The name of the area menu to see the planning transactions in BW 3.5 is "RS00_PLAN". I am now able to see all SEM planning transactions in the menu.
I am awarding full points.
Ashwin - Since the menu for accessing the planning transaction is not available by default in the SAP menu I had to create a role.

If iTunes Freezes when you try to Burn a CD, here's the FIX

I have read many posts about iTunes freezing when you try to burn a cd. This worked for me and it should work for you. It's a quite simple fix, but here goes:
If iTunes freezes when you:
1) Click on the Burning tab in your Preferances
OR
2) When you click on the Burn CD button
Steps To Recovery:
1) Completely Uninstall iTunes
2) Reinstall iTunes
3) If it still freezes either repair iTunes (using the file you used to install iTunes) or follow steps 1 and 2 again.

Boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down), select Disk Utility and repair both the disk permissions and the disk. Reboot normally and check the performance. Any improvement?

When you Log & Transfer 720p 25pN footage it shows as DVCPRO HD 720p50

When I Log & Transfer 720p 25pN (native format) footage it shows in the Browser as DVCPRO HD 720p50 (though with 25fps). Why is that? Is that a mistake?

The COMPRESSOR is 720p50. The FRAME RATE is 25... right? That is right. The FORMAT is 720p50...because it is based on a tape format. But the frame rate...the rate it is playing, is 25fps.
Things are fine. Nothing to worry about. If it said the RATE was 50, then it'd be 50fps...but it is 25fps.

ITunes Freezing when you try to close in New Version 9

So anyways I updated to version 9 and ever since my iTunes kept crashing. I finally slowed down to read the crash report and apparently my old version of Eyephedrine (visualizer plugin) was causing it to hang when you try to close it..
So if anyone experiences this problem, make sure all your plugins are up to date, or remove them if you don't use them anymore... Once I removed Eyephedrine iTunes not only started quicker, but it closed alot quicker as well.
Thought I would share that with you all... that's it...

How do you prevent deleting files when you log out of an account on a MacBook

I have set up a new account for my son on my MacBook. I set parental controls. It will not allow him to save files when he logs out. How can I allow him to save files and then keep them when he logs out?

Selecting all does not help - the issue is I need a table within an incoming email to be moved to excel, edited and then pasted back into a new email. "Select All" picks up the email headers, signatures, any messages around the table etc so that doesn't work. Also, as pointed out above Excel doesn't have a select all feature to get the tables back into the body of an email.
I just tried again going from Excel into Outlook 2011. No luck. All one column down the left side of the email. All columns are removed and text crammed into one column. Just to check I cut from one Excel document and pasted into another and it retained all formating just fine. It is only in and out of Outlook that seems to be the issue.

My MacBook Pro freezes when i log in. 10.7.4

This started aminly after i got 10.7.4. When i open my laptop i can log in but then i cant do anything i can move the mouse but cant click anything i try to force quit the aplications but cant click anything i end up having to shut down my computer every time i open it pls help but the first time i poen my computer after i shut it down its fine?! please help

Dropping it more than likely made it worse. The only thing I can suggest is to take the MBP back to the repair shop for diagnostic testing which is FREE!
NOTE: Apple Care nor the standard warranty does not cover accidental damage. You will be responsible for the repair costs (which are usually more than the cost of the computer).
The good news:
If you have homeowners or rental coverage check w/them. Most policies cover accidental damage.
If you purchased your computer w/a credit card, check w/them also. You just may be covered.

Do you have a backup of your contents? When the iPhone showed the screen with the USB cable and said to connect to iTunes, it had already entered the recovery mode which means all content had been erased. So you need a backup from before the water damage and problems started to get your contents back.

Keynote 3.0 Freezing when you try to select media browser

I have just purchased a copy of iWORK 06 for my Mac Mini Power PC chip. When trying to go to the media icon it starts by displaying my movies. When I select photos I get the spinning ball and the application does not respond anymore. The same thing happens when I use Pages as well

What version of iLife are you using?? You may be using an earlier version of iphoto in iLife which is causing the instability

Indesign CS4 Premium freezing when you open new document

I have a serious issue with my CS4 Premium. Indesign freezes/crashes when ever i start the program and open a new document. I have deleted the prefrences folder, uninstalled and installed more than once, and tried all the troubleshooting steps on the Adobe website. I have also deleted the SING folder in fonts, deleted caches, and tried a trial version of indesign on my Mac but it has the same problem. This does not happen with other CS4 apps and I dont know what else to do but . I downloaded the update but it is not fixing it.

I just got off the phone with Adobe support. The problem seems to be with a file in the SING folder (Library > Application Support > Adobe > SING). When this folder was moved to the Desktop and InDesign restarted, the program operated properly.
Then some additional investigation was done. After InDesign was shut down, the SING folder was moved back into the Adobe folder and opened. Inside the SING folder were a pair of nested folders: Mark II > Datastore. The file SINGmeta.dat inside the Datastore folder was trashed and the program restarted. Again it and worked properly. (Although, for some reason, a Sample Button library window was opened?! I've never used it.)
One piece of background: the only difference between my earlier use of InDesign and my current use was that earlier I was working on a Mac G5. I transferred the files to a new Quad-Core Intel Xeon machine and couldn't open it there.
Having spent several hours troubleshooting this, I hope this helps someone.
