Freezing right before end of sync

When I sync my iPod the beginning of it is just fine. However, once i get to the end, it freezes and gives me an error message. Then, when I go to sync again, my iPod starts 'crackling' from the inside. The only way to make it stop is to uninstall iTunes from my computer. After that I install iTunes again and try it, but the same thing happens. Anyone know whats going on?

Have you tried resetting the iSync history in iSync prefs?
Or syncing just contacts, or just calendars, to see if one will allow a full sync.
Or syncing just a small group of contacts.
There may be some corrupted data in either Address Book or iCal that is tripping iSync up.

HD Freezes right before Transitions

hello,
I am editing 1280x720 HD.mov files and it seems right at end and beginning of transitions{cuts, dissolves, anything} the footage freezes for a half a second. It is crazy and very frustrating! I am editing on a FCP Studio2 ,MBP w/4 gigs ram. The sequence settings seem correct yet what is causing this? I am really new at HD editing and never had this problem w/SD. Is it the .mov files or is there a thing I need to correct?

Click on one of the media files. Hit Apple-I. Under MORE INFO, it will tell you the codec. If it is really MPEG 4, like the .mp4 suggests, well then you are trying to edit footage that has been compressed into a web delivery codec...not well suited for editing. Because of this, issues may arise, like you are experiencing. You should be working with a codec that FCP supports as an editing codec...everything in the EASY SETUPS are editing codecs. for 1280x720, DVCPRO HD would be a choice codec....although that format is 960x720 anamorphic, not actual 1280x720.
How were these files produced?

I set up sync right before a new install of windows 7. I cannot get my sync to set up properly.

I had signed up and set up sync right before a new install of windows 7. I made sure Firefox stated the data was sent to the server before letting IT take over(company policy). I had made sure I used the sync code input on my PC from my Iphone before hand.
I now cannot get my data from the server. Incorrect Sync code is primary. Each device is telling me to add the other device in the event my sync code is not working correctly.

Data usages are always estimated...I don't believe any carrier post data usage in real time. I've had my data increased due to a large chunk being unaccounted for at the time of my cycle. Thankfully when I'm billed for it...it has never pushed me over my limit.

if the device I connected have caused this, shouldn't the macbook itself have some type of protection that should prevent this from happening.
because when I took it to an apple certified maintenance shop, the guy said that now it could only run while connected to the power. it won't run on batteries. and that I have to change the motherboard.
can I just replace the damaged part only, would apple consider this as a design issue and they could pay for it, or should I just buy a new motherboard for 800$.

The problem is in finding a tech shop that will/can do board level repairs on Macs. They are few. And I certainly wouldn't spend $800 on a new logic board - I would replace the computer if I had to pay that much!
You could call around to a few repair shops and see if they feel competent to isolate the problem and do a board level repair - but I'm afraid, in the end, that your search will be futile.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Seems like you tried this all ready and it didn't help.
Next might be to reset all settings.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings
Note that when you do this you will not lose data but you will have to enter all passwords again.
If that doesn't help you might tries a restore of your iPad using iTunes on the computer you normall sync with. Do a backup and save all data first. Or
Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Why is my project freezing at the end of each video demo?

I've created a project with three different video demos. I've done all the editing and have the video slides in the right order, however, each video demo freezes at the end instead of continuing on to the next video demo.

Are you positive that it's not just downloading the next video in the background and that's why it just looks like it's stalled? What happens if you just let it sit there for a minute or two? Does the next slide then start playing?

My computer freezes right after startup

My MacBook Pro 13 inch is always freezing right after logging in. And it has the spinning ball and just freezes there and I can not do anything but to wait but nothing happens. I am writing this on a iPad because my Mac is not working. I really need help! MacBook Pro 13 inch OSX 10.8.4.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Are you getting to the Login screen? Or is freezing up on a blue screen? Are you still at the gray screen? Run any updates recently?
You can try Safe Boot/Mode and see if that does anything - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1455
The next step would be to try and verify/repair Disk Permissions, but you'll need access to another computer for DVD/CD sharing or an external DVD drive.

Playback loop dropping out before end of song!! Please help!!

Just started using mainstage 2 (latest version). I'm trying to set up some playback to perform live with, but for some strange reason, some of the playback stems always drop out before the end of the song. (usually 2 t 4 bars before ending.) It happens every time.. and on every songs...
Could someone please help.. I really can't figure this one out!

I'm not looping the playbacks and I'm syncing on the average about 4 playback plugins song..
I'm using an Axiom pro 61 as controller
My system is a 13in MacBook Pro 2010 model with OS 10.6.6

In fact, you can add markers directly in Mainstage - open up the playback plug-in, put your cursor exactly on the point of the waveform where you want your marker and control-click to open the pop-up menu from which you can add, rename and remove markers. Click/drag on the waveform to move to the required location.
To sync, just set the tempo of each song at the set or patch level (others have noted problems getting everything to sync properly, so to avoid this problem I usually just create an audio file of my click track and load it up into a separate playback channel - this also makes it easier to route it separately to your FOH output).
As for tempo change, well, I'm afraid MS2 doesn't support tempo change as such, although if you vary the tempo of you backings in PT and bounce down a stem, then that is just an audio file, and when MS2 plays it back it will play as recorded (ie with tempo changes). This is another good reason for using an audio file of a click track.

IChat Freezes right when it opens so I can't do anything

Right when I click on iChat it freezes. Sometimes it will get as far as loading the name of my buddy groups. I don't have an insane about of buddies or anything though. It just started doing this today, I was trying to video chat but it didn't work so I tried to close iChat and re open it and now it will not open at all. I've read other related topics and many say about going into iChat preferences but I can't since it freezes right away. I've left it there once and it disconnected but it was still frozen. It seems to be making the rest of my computer slow sometimes too when it is open. Please help?

Hi
Looking at the log you've posted, I would suggest changing your Quicktime streaming speed to 1.5Mbps T1/Intranet/LAN rather than Automatic. Also make sure iChat>Preferences>Video>Bandwidth limit is None (unless Comcast, Road Runner or Verizon FIOS in which case use 500kbps). After any changes, remember to restart iChat.
Have you repaired permissions? Have you tried reinstalling iChat (using Combo updater to get back to current version of iChat)?

I called tech support and they had me schedule a time to walk through the problem with an apple engineer last night.
They acknowledged that they've been getting calls about this issue but that's all they said.
Make a long story short there was no solution. I ended up backing up all my info, contacts, notes ect. to the cloud and restoring the iPhone to the factory settings, then I synced back to the cloud but did not restore from a previous back-up just use as a new phone then manually check off the media pictures, music, movies ect.
It's not the ideal way but it worked for me because I don't have a ton of stuff on the phone and I can even sync wirelessly now where's before I couldn't check that feature on in iTunes because it wouldn't sync.
One thing since you can't restore from a previous back-up make sure to manually back up your camera roll or turn on photo stream to back up photos to the cloud.

Thanks so much Meg. Unfortunately, iTunes is the program I use to perform syncing. I don't really have other outside options. It is also the location of the backup I would use to restore my phone, and my only way to reclaim important data. I am concerned that, since the last backup occurred when the "other" bar was only moderately huge (around 29G I think), that a backup would replicate the problem back onto my phone.
My contacts, etc. are all in address book and the calendar app on my Mac. As far as I know, iTunes is the way to get them back, but iTunes is where the problem is.
Any thoughts on this?
