Freezing when calling

Hey my skype is freezing everytime I call and sometimes as it loads, I have had this issue prior to release of 7.0 and have tried older versions listed aswell as the beta that seemed to have help people with my problem. Also using Reg cleaners and what not between installs (Eusing reg cleaner) I appear to have a error in my event log for DHCP eveytime my computer freezes. I can still hear my call when my computer freezes for a short time.

Thanks Mario, but I tried everything there before posting my question. I may not have been clear in my question since I accidently recorded the whole question as the title and tried to edit. In brief: I have no trouble connecting with my daughter's iPad or my son's iPhone. However, his iPad is sending much higher resolution pictures and we disconnect after about a minute. Oddly, he can hear and see me while my screen first freezes, then goes black and gives me a message of "reconnecting" until it quits trying and shows the buttons to end or redial. The picture quality difference is what is leading me to believe it is bandwidth related. However, I get anywhere from 5 to 10 MB download speeds; usually closer to 10. Last summer, I had 4 granddaughters on their iPads, a grandson on his gaming device and me on cell phone or pc, all using the bandwidth at once with no complaints. If there is a way to lower his outgoing resolution, I think that would help.

Sequencefileload freezes when calling DLL

I have TestStand 4.1 and when calling a DLL on the MainSequence everything seems to work fine, but if I call it on a SequenceFileLoad TestStand freezes on that step.
What could be the problem?

Actually, printf() may be the problem. Because you are calling it in DLLMain, there are additional considerations you have to keep in mind. Microsoft has a great page on these considerations here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms682583(VS.85).aspx
A few excerpts:
The entry-point function should perform only simple initialization or termination tasks. It must not call the LoadLibrary or LoadLibraryEx function (or a function that calls these functions), because this may create dependency loops in the DLL load order.
Calling functions that require DLLs other than Kernel32.dll may result in problems that are difficult to diagnose. For example, calling User, Shell, and COM functions can cause access violation errors, because some functions load other system components. Conversely, calling functions such as these during termination can cause access violation errors because the corresponding component may already have been unloaded or uninitialized.
I'm pretty sure that printf() is a shell command. Also, while loading the sequence file, it is likely that TestStand is loading DLLs or COM objects at the same time, which could confict with any code you have in DLLMain.
Regardless, Microsoft strongly recommends against any unecessary code in DLLMain. So this problem may not have anything to do with NI products, but more DLL creation best practices in general.

My video freezes when calling to mobile

I've discovered the pattern that every time I have a video call between my Windows 7 laptop and a mobile phone on the other side, my video freezes after a few seconds (the other party only sees the last frame/photo then on their mobile, whereas I see the video stream normally).
Is this some weird "feature"? Is there any way to fix it?
Video-calls between mobiles as well as between computers work fine.

Have they done the Quicktime setting ?
It should match his and your download speeds respectively for best results.
When in a chat Open the Connection Doctor from the Video menu and tells us if the incoming Video bar has dropped to zero.
This will mean that the other end is not sending properly (Or does not have the conection speed to do so)
Both of yopu should also check iChat > Preferences > Video section > Bandwidth Limit drop down. This should be set to NONE

N71 freezes when calling busy line

Hi,
I am witnissing since several months the fact, that when I call a busy line, I hear the occupied or line busy signal, then my N71 by itself closes the connection but the busy tone keeps on beeping for up to 3 minutes and all other phone functions freeze. no matter what I do, the phone does not react at all. Very recently I updated the OS, but no change so far.
Does anybody have an idea, what this could be?

I had this problem for years with my N95, N96, E71. To fix this simply turn off automatic redialling. I appreciate this info is probably no more use to you now as you posted the problem in 2007, but it is an ongoing problem so I thought I'd put up the solution for others to see!

TimeoutException - when calling web services method that opens a PDF

I am updating a legacy program which uses Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional. The idea is that the client will call web service methods, which handle opening a PDF, reading from or writing to the PDF, saving if necessary, and closing. It then returns the data (if reading) to the client.
The only issue with this that I'm having is that the client will pause for about 60 seconds, and throw a TimeoutException.
I know that the method on the web services end is working, because I wrote a quick driver which calls the very same method, but it executes normally, and works perfectly.
My question is basically, is there anything that would cause the client to hang/freeze when calling the web services method to do this task? Everything is running on my workstation, and I've debugged to see that the filename being passed is the same in both tests.

IPhone 4 freezes when I try to make or receive a call

When I try and call another person my iphone freezes. Sometimes its instant, sometimes the speaker is lit up and then it freezes.
It also freezes when somebody tries to call me.
Please could somebody help as this is doing my head in.

It sounds like when you try and change your wallpaper the Settings app becomes unresponsive and you have to quit it. I want to recommend a few things here. First close all the running apps on the phone:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone and try again:

Iphone keeps freezing when I am going to end a call.

My Iphone sometimes freezes when I make phone calls on it. This only happens at the end of the phone call but it is really frustrating because I cannot hang up the call. I called my service provider and they told me it was because of the clear screen protecter I put on my phone. Could this be possible or are they just making this up to get me to quit complaining?

It seems your iPhone is slowing down and not responding frequently. To rectify this issue you may want to consider performing a restore on the device, and then restoring your data from a backup via iCloud or iTunes.
If the issue persists after restoring your backup, you would then want to consider restoring the device and setting it up as new. Below I have linked to article which offers guidance on both of these restore methods:

If you open the recovery drive (partition) it should only have a single folder (Recovery).
To make sure that your not saving restore points to that drive.
See:
Start, Control Panel, System, System Protection tab. Make sure the D drive partition is set to OFF so that it does not save there.

App freezes when JComboBox.addItem is called for the first time

I have a Swing app that intermittenly freezes when the users go
to a certain screen. I've tracked it down to a specific line. There is
a JComboBox on the screen. The application freezes when the
app tries to load the first item into the JComboBox using
myComboBx.addItem(Object o). I pass in an Integer.
The strange thing is that this only happens once a day, or
sometimes less, in a group of 4 users. But when it does
freeze, it always freezes on that line. After freezing, the user
can go back into the app, and go to the same screen(no
data has changed), and they can get in without it freezing.
So it seems to have nothing to do with the data - it's purely
intermittent.
The only thing I can think of is that the underlying native peer
for the JPanel that the JComboBox is on, has not been created
yet, and I'm trying to load an item into a combo box that doesn't
really exist yet. Anyone know if this is possible? It may only
happen when the user's machine is running very slow.
I've included the relevant code below. Any feedback would
be greatly appreciated.

I am facing a similar problem with JComboBox. It is responding to the first time when items are added to the combo box. Later on, listener does not seem to listen if items are added to the combo box. Can anyone think of a solutiuon for this problem. (it works fine in 1.3 but does not respond in 1.4)

Problems with iPhone freezing when trying to answer while on another call?

I am wondering if others are having the problem with your iPhone freezing when you are on a call and another calls comes in. I have had this problem repeatedly. If I try to answer a call while on another call, the other caller can not hear me. when I try and hang up the call...iPhone freezes and disconnects ALL calls.
I do not have a problem if I initiate BOTH calls for a conference call. I am hoping that Apple is aware of this issue and are working on a fix in the next update. Whenever that will be???

I have noticed that during or at the end of a conference call when one party hangs up all parties have always been disconnected. I can tell you that if this is the way it works normally, this is not the way is should work. This is a pain in the butt when it is necessary to call one of the parties back since that party is also trying to call you back. You both get a busy signal.
I do not have a problem answering a second call during a time when I am on a first call. It will place the first call on hold and I will only be talking to the second party. It should work that way. My iPhone works that way.
It should also allow you to add the second call to the first call through the 'merge' feature so that both the first and second calls can be joined together. My iPhone works that way.
My previous Treo worked great on these situations but I do have burps with the iPhone.
I think that the problem is with the iPhone and AT&T interface in these conditions.

My Nokia 5800 is freezing when I get a call or SMS with charger and USB cable (Media transfer mode) both are connected.
I need to remove the battery to resume from the freeze.
Similar kind of freeze occur when I was transferring the music in Media transfer format.
There were many such instance, like video residue on the video player pallet when rotating the video player and other stuff which are very annoying.
Could anyone let me know, when does we can have a new firmware with all this issues resolved.
Also after updating firmware can we take 1hr video and can have all the preloaded songs.
