Freezinng with document info window

I have a problem with all of the programs in my Master Collection CS5. When I open the document info window it comes up blank and then freezes the program. Mouse clicks don't work and the blank window won't close. The only way to exit is to force quit. I'm on Macbook with 10.6.8 OS. This happens iwth all progrms, Illi, Indesign, Dreamweave ect. Is there a setting I could have worng?

Please run InDesign and get it to hang, and then open Activity Monitor.
In Activity Monitor, select InDesign and choose Sample Process. Save the output, upload to http://pastebin.com/, and post a link here.
Next, still in Activity Monitor, run View > Send Signal: Abort (ABRT). You will get a crash report. Upload that to pastebin.com (and post the link here).
We should be able to tell you why your software is freezing.
Though a good bet often is 3rd party plugins, or Adobe's SING component.

Importing MS Word into PDF adds extra page with document info

I am still evaluating Acrobat Pro, including Life Cycle Designer to create Forms, currently testing converting existing forms made in MS Word to PDF. There is someting that I do not know how to resolve is when I import files from MS Word, an extra page with details info about the document is copied as well. It contains info such as number of pages, author, date of creation etc....20 lines of info.
This becomes akward when inserting the document into an existing pdf...or just create a new form from the Word document....adds the extra page ..
Is there a setup somewhere that I could modify to not have the extra info? or how do I delete it? I try to select the text but cannot (within life cycle)

If you are importing into Designer, you should ask in that forum. If in Acrobat, then you might try printing the WORD document to a PDF first and importing the PDF. However, with Acrobat you will not get the form fields that you are preserving with Designer.

How to Save the "Document Info" Details Action Via

I saved the "Document Info" details in illustrator manually using "Document Info Pannel". Could you please expain how to save the "Document Info" details through illustrator action.

When in the document info window of a file there is a small triangle in the top right corner from this you have fly out menus to save/delete or show metadata templates. You can use this to save groups of metadata. Once you have a bunch of groups you can quickly use this to set your info. Bridge will also allow you to append or replace metadata from these saved templates too

Can't open secured documents on windows 7 domain client with mandatory profiles.

While opening certain PDF files we have the problem that the user is presented with a message that he does not have the rights permissions. This happens twice, after that the users gets an empty page with the message the Adobe version might not be up to date. We use Acrobat Pro 10, but this also happens while using Reader 11.0.8. On our windows 2008 terminal services machine this could be fixed by giving the user rights on c:\ to create and remove a file. :O. On windows 7 this doesn't work probably because of UAC. But we've tried every solution to that available on the internet, disabling uac, changing uac options, changing rights on userprofile folders, changing rights on c:\ but to no avail. When using process explorer we can see it wants to create a temp file p328hkl.tmp or something like that on C but it can't and immediattely after is shows the error on screen.
Anyone who also has this problem or solved it? There are no problems with simple self made pdf files/scans but only with certain types of pdf files for which it tries to create a tmp file.

Thanks for your reaction. We do have AppData redirection in place. We redirect AppData to a share on our data server which works perfectly fine for all other applications. The weird thing is that Reader/Acrobat try to write to C:\ which to my knowledge should not happen, is this maybe a fallback because it can’t write to a different location? Users have full control on their own roaming AppData but not on their local AppData that is made by windows itself while copying the mandatory default profile to C:\.
I might use the wrong term while saying secured documents. I’m talking about a document created by Raet/Youforce a web application for personal administration. The documents can be opened by other viewers than Acrobat/Reader but then only contain the background and not the text. In Acrobat/Reader they do open normally when Acrobat/Reader can create the .tmp file. Otherwise it will not display the file at all. I would attach such a document to see but since it contains certain info I am not allowed to do so.
I hope we can work out a solution for this.

Are you aware of that you can still use Pages 09 on Mavericks? You don't have to go thru the grieves of using the crippled Pages 5. Pages 09 should bi in Applications/iWork 09 folder.

Web Service to Create a Document Info Record with attachments (e.g. PDF)

Hello guys,
we are looking forward to create a Web Service that should be able to create a Document Info Record on SAP ERP Application Server. As we don't have installed the SAP Standard Web Services on our SAP ERP ECC 6.0 system we will manually create a Web Service with the help of the standard BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2.
The current problem is that the Web Service based on the Standard BAPI can not upload Files (PDF or Word files) from the Users Client PC to the Application Server.
Is there a possibility to Create a Web Service that can handle files and create DIRs on application server?

Well, in this case you don't really need the CV01N transaction. This represents the user interface (UI), and you only need an interface (that is, an API), which in SAP is represented by a BAPI
I'm not familiar with CRM, but I assume that at some point when saving a Service Contract, you have a BAdI, where you can check the status and insert some custom code.
So, all you have to do is call BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE or BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 (if available on your installed version), with the required attributes (this can be master data, classification, custom data...). After this function is called successfully, you should receive the document key (DOKAR, DOKNR, DOKVR, and DOKTL). Which you can also save in the Attachments tab.

Open Acrobat manually and go to Edit - Preferences - General. Click the "Select Default PDF Handler" button and then select Acrobat from the list and click on OK. The next time you open a PDF it will be opened in Acrobat automatically.

Double attributes in info window with advanced style

Hi,
I have a MapViewer theme with an advanced style and several attributes to display. The attribute column to render the advanced style should be displayed in the info window, too.
Its working so far but this attribute is displayed twice!
I only have this problem with advanced styles.
My MapViewer version: Ver1033p5_B081010
Does anybody know this problem?

13.02 info window not working with layer groups?

Normally when you have an adjustment layer selected the "info" window will display the before and after color values for the point under the cursor as well as any color samplers.
Since upgrading to 13.02 when the selected adjustment layer is inside of a layer group it will display the values as after/after instead of before/after.
Is this a common issue or is it just me?

In your XML theme definition, you need to add a <hidden_info> tag to tell Oracle Maps which attributes from the select list you want to display in the info window.

OK, I'm cool with GB3 even though I don't podcast. Editing to a QT video is an absolutely great feature worth the admission itself, but...
I really liked the floating info window. Others apparently also. Who's gonna write a script or find a way to either separate the window or have it open to the left?

Create the popup in the usual way and then modify the
javascript by adding
whatever parameters are needed to call a recordset in the
popup which the
correct information, and the particulr field holding the key
value.
for example the simple popup creates a line like this

I need to know how to get the counting of RGB objects, CMYK Objects and Grayscale Objects information for illustrator vector(editable) file.
In illustrator raster image file, i need to know how to get the Embedded image information(Resolution, Mode).
I collect these infomation manually from "Windows->Document info". I saved the "Document Info" details in illustrator manually using "Document Info Pannel". I dont know how to save that information through "illustrator sdk" or through any other way without manual interaction. Could you please advice me. This is for windows operating system.

I think sample code in the SDK contains a 'skeleton' plugin, I'd start with that. It should also provide a list of suites that get automatically loaded, I think it's in Suites.h. Just make sure AIDocumentSuite is in the list, and if it's not, just follow the examples in that file to add it. That should end up with a global variable called 'sDocument', which has all the suite functions as methods.
Then it's something like:
AIDocumentSetup setup;
AIErr error = sDocument->GetDocumentSetup(&setup);
// check error to make sure it's kNoErr
Then you just have to inspect the setup struct for (hopefully) the answers you're looking for.
