Frequent error message (8248) when downloading songs. Please help!

I am hoping to resolve an issue I keep encountering when trying to download songs from itunes. I frequently receive a message stating "there was a problem downloading the song. An unknow error occured (8248)" However, the song appears in my purchased history and of course I get charged. This has happened often, however occasionally a song will download properly, and we have been able to download applications (games) with no problem. Please help! Thank you.

You could try repairing permissions with disk utility, I don't think you will have the option to repair the drive but you could verify it.
This may help you delete the files that DU made but did not remove when erasing the free space.

When you get your SL disk it will not have the iLife applications, that would have been on the second install disk that should have been with the computer. A search of the forums will confirm or deny this.
As to whether a clean install will cure your problem, i.e. partition the HDD and install I would expect it to be yes, but there are no guarantees it is an old machine.

I receive the JAVA error message detailed when trying to download a torrent file on my laptop. I have two browsers installed, Firefox and Internet Explorer. I do not get the message if I download via I.E. so the problem is a Firefox/Java one. the message reads :

Hmmm. Bang goes the theory of trying to get a heads-up on a 2324 with the other message.
The following is a better bet with a 2330 (rather than a 2324), but it might be useful to get the possibility off the table.
Let's try running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, does itunes launch without the 2324 afterwards?

Error message loop when selecting song

A warning to Keynote users:
You can accidentally get into a loop of error messages, one for each song in your iTunes library (could be 10,000 error messages or more!), if you select the Audio tab in Document Inspector, click the "iTunes Library" button, and then make the mistake of clicking the big, black arrow/triangle at the bottom left. I did this and got a message "The song 'whatever' could not be used because the original file could not be located". You have no option except to click "OK" and then a new error message pops open for the next song in your library, and on and on. There is no "Cancel" button. Your only options are to click through all 10,000 error messages, or to force quit Keynote, loosing all your presentation if you haven't saved any of it. I don't know the purpose of that big triangle, but I will try to remember to avoid clicking it. Jeeze, what a nightmare!

I'm responding to my own post. I checked the error messages more carefully and found that they are Microsoft Outlook generated and not Firefox. This could still be a Firefox problem but I thought I should point this out.

Just bought an entire album only to have parts of it downloaded and others not. Missing three tracks and according to my itunes account it says purchased, but this I already know, it's getting them that is the issue. With error messages popping up constantly. Deleted all trace of whatever was downloaded, restarted my computer and itunes and still no album, but Apple got my money. Anyone else having these issues and absolutely feed up?

Not there aren't any special settings for this. You just use the Open In feature to save the document into Pages. You could have a font in the document that Pages doesn't like, maybe something that you copied and pasted from somewhere into the document that went corrupt. But there is nothing special about the way that you save a Word document into Pages. You save it like you save any document or file into a compatible app.

Apple TV won't load up. the light flashes and the logo appears on the TV then it just goes off and starts again. I've tried restoring via USB on 5 different computers and I keep getting error message 9? Can anyone please help?

I have a black Apple TV that has recently stopped working. It loads the Apple Logo on screen then goes off and starts again. It's as if it is stuck in a loop. I've tried a re-boot and this has failed. I have tried a restore using a USB cable on 5 different computers, including a Mac Book Pro and it downloads the update file but when it tries to restore I get the error code 9 showing on screen. I just can't get it to do anything.
Can anyone please help?

I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?!

Error Message In App Store?(Please Help)

So I just bought a brand new 2012 Macbook Pro retina display which by the way I love, but every time I go to the app store it keeps saying I have 2 updates but then when I go to update them it keeps giving me these error messages and wont let me update them??? The App Store is tied to the Apple ID account that you used when you originally purchased your machine and registered it. It sounds as if you created a new Apple ID? If so, you need to use the original.

Everytime I want to update the latest iTunes or iPhone software I get the following error message "Cannot open the URL" please help?

I need to update my iTunes and my iPhone 3GS to the latest version and evertimes I click on "update" I get the following error message displayed - "cannot open URL". I have checked the permissions on my windows firewall and iTunes is not blocked. Palm TX error message (sys 0505) (0,841) PLEASE HELP!

I made a recent post about loosing all the data I had in my calendar for the year. When doing Hot Sync to my PC I get an error message as indicated in my subject line. Does anyone know what this means or how to obtain this knowledge. Could it be related? Does anyone know how to correct this problem?

Sounds like your best bet is to start all over with a Hard Reset, then sync back up with your original Hotsync user name.
To perform a Hard Reset:
While pressing and holding the Power button down, tap and release the Reset button in back and continue to hold the Power button down. When the grey Palm logo appears, you can release the Power button.
You should now see the warning page in about 5 languages. Press the UP direction on the 5-way pad to complete the task. Your Palm will reset itself several times as it re-installs the original programs and erases all your previous data.
