Frequent "Firefox has encountered a problem and needs to shut down" window. Need to disable adblock plus and AVG safe search to continue. Any way to fix?
For about a third of websites I visit, at some point I receive a "Firefox has encountered a problem and needs to shut down" window. I have to disable both Adblock plus and AVG safe search in order to continue. This used to happen for two or so sites, and I disabled the ad-ons before going to those sites. It has increased to the point that the adblock plus and safe search ad-ons are becoming pretty useless. Is there any way to rectify this problem. Sending error reports has no effect.

Have you changed anything in the Photoshop installation areas? If the updater doesn't find a pristine installation it will fail.
The only area you should ever put anything into is the plug-ins subfolder. Everything else is hands-off.

When I go to the web I get this error message: Firefox has encountered a problem and will close send or don't send .When you click either it closesIt's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. USB connection to iTunes. Back up your 3GS with your last 3GS back up. DON'T use an iPhone 4 back up or higher. It will cause exactly this.

I was having this problem few days ago,and I have fixed.Try this steps-If you have AVG antivirus so go on firefox>Tools>Add On and Disable AVG safe search and AVG tool bars too.Then restart computer.

How to recover your data: Do you have backups? (If not, you really, really, should.)
You can try downloading Data Rescue, which will run in trial mode and let you know if the data is recoverable. (You can then choose to purchase the full version if it works for you.) A clicking drive, though, is usually (though not always) a sign that the drive cannot be recovered.

IPod can't be removed from computer and unable to shut down windows
Nowadays, my ipod hangs rather frequently, but i thought it's just because it's rather filled up.
When i tried to connect my ipod to the computer and opening itunes, nothing works. everything just hangs. i tried to open ipod as a hard disk from my computer but it couldn't open. So i tried to shut down the computer and it couldnt be shut down. i had to restart it. When i tried to remove hardware safely, there was no response.
after restarting the com and replugging the ipod, the same problems abound. now, i can't even see ipod in my computer as a hard disk.
what is wrong? My ipod is abt a yr and a half old and nothing of this sort has happened before.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

I downloaded and installed FF with no problem. But it will not run. I get the above message everytime. IE runs -no problem! Google Chrome does the same as Firefox!

Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down ''shift'' while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]].

I have Keynote '09 and have used it many times. Today I started another Keynote document, stopped for a while, came back to continue, and received, "You need a newer version of Keynote to open this document." ?? Stumped.
IOS Pages 2.0 and 2.1 implement an entirely incompatible document format with Pages ’09 v4.3. It cannot open them, and you are then prompted to update to Pages v5+ which is compatible with your IOS Pages.
Unfortunately, updating to Pages v5+ is a bad thing, as it is a brand new application that has omitted over 90+ features from Pages ’09 v4.3. When you update to Pages v5+, it will move your old still functional version of the earlier Pages into /Applications/iWork. Aside from all the missing functionality, Pages v5+ will likely damage older documents that depend on specific Pages ’09 v4.3 features (including AppleScript and custom Templates).
Oh, by the way, the older and new Pages documents have the same filename extension (.pages) making document organization difficult without applying different tag colors to old and new documents.
We are recommending that users remain on their earlier Pages version. You may have to export documents from IOS Pages as Word .docx to avoid the OS X Pages update notice. -

if youre the adventurous sort, you can try getting a replacement screen off ebay or another site and doing the repair yourself. i dont really recommend it, but its an option

Firefox was working well. One day I logged on to use Firefox and was prompted to update my version which I did. After or during the update the following message was given on the screen "firefox has encountered a problem and needs to close". It closed and now every time I click on the firefox icon I get the same message from Microsoft. That is all the information I get. Each time I go to open Firefox I get the same message. There is an error message attached to the Microsoft dialog box, but I don't understand what it means.

Everytime I try to browse the internet I get "Firefox has encountered a problem and needs to close" the tech report shows C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\temp\7de8_appcompat.txt
I don't think this is a Firefox problem. I have the same error message and I get it regardless of whether I'm using Firefox or another browser.
In checking [http://www.whatsrunning.net/QueryProductID.aspx?Product=16854] it is a file owned by Microsoft. I suggest you check your registry for errors. -
Adobe presenter has encountered a problem with this presentation
I dont know what happened but I used Adobe presenter without issue on Friday, 9/21. On Monday 9/24 it seems there is an issue. When I try to save a powerpoint presentation or use the Presenter ribben I am seeing the same message, Adobe presenter has encountered a problem with this presentation.....
I have unistalled and reinstalled Presenter as well as unistalled and reinstalled Powerpoint. Nothing is working and the error message does not help. This is also happenign on my coworkers machine.

Can you tell us the exact version of Presenter please. You will find it in About Dialog as mentioned in above post.
I did not get your previous post. Do you mean you have installed an incorrect version (32/64bit) ? Presenter 32bit is supported on PowerPoint32bit and Presenter 64bit version on PowerPoint 64bit.
Please ensure you are following the above criteria.

Error message "itunes has encountered a problem..." when it starts up...
Every time I try to open itunes I get the typical windows message that says "itunes has encountered a problem and needs to shut down." I've tried to reinstall, but it still does it. Any ideas?

their itunes is a broken QuickTime.
try to open your QuickTime. does it launch properly,
or do you get an error message?
if you get an error message, the first thing we'll
try is a careful standalone QT 7.0.4 reinstall.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.0.4 standalone
installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install
from there rather than online.) switch off
antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the
install.

if that install goes through okay, does your itunes
launch properly again?
(if you get an error message on the QT standalone
reinstall, let us know what it says. include error
