Hello, I am using skype to go to contact my friend in Quebec Canada from Minnesota US.
We both purchase subscription and i just wonder that if she or I call to each other, does receiver gets fee for the call? Because i get same number she called me even though she's using skype to go number, i get little concern that i might have long distance fee.
i know it is frequent question, but we had a a lot of fee for international call before we try skype to go.
So, to be simple, does the receiver get long distance fee from another if operator used skype to go??

Hello,
No. There is no such thing as a "long distance" call with Skype. All Skype calls are "local" worldwide.
TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

  • Making the move to 16:9, but totally confused about what settings to use!

Hi, It seems to me that since all new TV's being sold are wide-screen, it is time for me to stop making videos in 4:3. But I am completely stumped by the procedure to work in 16:9. I have shot my footage in standard definition, 16:9. The final product will be a DVD created in DVD Studio Pro. I would like the picture to fill a widescreen TV, and.... when played on a 4:3 screen, I would like it to fill the width of the screen and be letterboxed on top and bottom.
I think that I am correct to capture this footage into Final Cut Express, using Easy Setup, and choosing 'Anamorphic'. At least that gives me a 16:9 screen in FCE.
But can someone tell me what settings to use in DVDSP when I when I import that video? I tried to import Anamorphic video into DVDSP, and went to Preferences, and chose 16:9 Letterbox. I got a wide screen, but my footage came in as a squished 4:3 image. I'm totally at a loss, and would very much appreciate any help you can give.
    Thanks very much, Bob

Yes, Anamorphic is the Easy Setup you'd want to use in FCE.
When I say it's distorted, that means anamorphic is recorded to tape squished (much like how it imports into DVDSP for you) and that the format demands being unsqueezed during playback. Sorry, if I scared you.
The encoding settings are also available in DVDSP's Preferences under the Encoding tab.
Also - and this is the single most important element of this workflow - in addition to setting the default Display Mode to 16:9 Letterbox, be sure to confirm that this is not overridden (for whatever reason) after you've placed your clips onto a track. So check the Inspector and make sure Display mode is correct. (It's been known to happen once in a blue moon and, if not readjusted, will mean that your DVD will not display correctly on any proper setup)

  • BE[Elect], MBA[SCM], 4 yrs Exp as BD. Totally confused about which SAP module

    Hello,
Niranjan here from Mumbai. i am currently working as Lead member, Business development in engineering company for past 4+ years. Prior i have completed my BE from Mumbai university & MBA in supply change management.
Now i am planning to have a shift to SAP. But confused about any specific module.
On doing some ground work, found SD module of my use, but not sure about it.
Also found CRM of my use on discussion with some of those working on field.
    Totally confused. ...
    Plz pour in your suggestions.
    thanks in advance.
    Niranjan Watve

    Hi Niranjan,
As for my opinion, SAP CRM Sales exactly suits to you.  However, you have done Supply Chain Management you can also opt for SAP SD as well.
But give a preference to SAP CRM Sales Instead of SAP SD.

  • Totally confused about product names/functionality

The product "ZENWorks Desktop Management 7" includes functionality
    called
    "Asset Management"
The product "ZENWorks Asset Management" is also a product about
"collection information of devices and software".
Now Novell introduced the product "ZENWorks Configuration Management"
which is equipped with "Asset management services" in the enterprise
    edition.
Dear Product managers of Novell - please describe the
differences/similarities of these products in an understandable way so
that we can answer the questions of our customers.
current szenario: our customer is using "ZENWorks Desktop Management
    7".
He wants to introduce "asset management" (the functionality of the
"ZENWorks for Desktops" does not fulfull all requirements - especially
    the
handling of software licences). So we decided to introduce the
    "ZENWorks
Asset Management" prduct but then came "ZENWorks Change Management"
    and it
seems that there could be two possibilities for our customer (if I
    interpret the products functionality right):
    a. forget "ZENWorks Configuration Management" and buy "ZENWorks Asset
    Management"
    b. Upgrade "ZENWorks Desktop Management" to the enterprise edition of
"ZENWorks Configuration Mangagement" with promotion prize
But in the case of b. there are some unanswered questions:
    - does "ZENWorks Configuration Management" have the same functionality
    as
"ZENWorks Desktops Management" has? If not, why does there exist a
    migration path?
    - Are the "Asset management services" of "ZENWorks Configuration
Management" the same product as "ZENWorks Asset Management" is just
    within
    another product?
Which way to go? A or B?
for any answer I thank you in advance

  • Total confusion about iTunes.

I am trying to transfer music from my PC to my iPad. I do not see the iTunes app on my iPad, only iTunes Store. Yet when I try to download iTunes to my iPad it seems to respond as if I already have it. When I connect my iPad to the laptop it says I need the latest version of iTunes. When I try to download iTunes it responds as if I already have it. Rinse and repeat.
What is going on? And if I have iTunes on my iPad already, why can't I see it anywhere?

No, I don't have that icon. Just the iTunes Store one. By the way, it's an iPad mini, if that makes a difference.
I am trying to get iTunes on my iPad so I can transfer my existing iTunes music (which is on a Windows laptop) to it. If I just connect my iPad to the laptop (in the hope that iTunes already exists on the iPad even though I can't find it) I get an error message that says I need the latest version of iTunes (11.1 or something). If I then try to download iTunes in order to make sure I have the latest version nothing happens and it says on the screen that iTunes comes with the iPad already.
So the problem is threefold, I guess. One, that I can't find iTunes on my iPad. Two, that I am being asked to download the latest version before I can sync. Three, that I can't download the latest version because the app seems to respond as though I already have it.But like I said in the question title... I'm basically confused. :-)

  • Totally confused about "on" and "to"

I program in several languages and have been reading up on Applescript for a full day in several references but I cannot figure why "to" is used in this example, what it means, or why not "on".  Since "to and "on" are both stopwords, I cannot search for this information.  Could someone provide a brief description of applicability and the distinction between the two.
This example from the AppleScript Language Guide is the most confusing:
    script John
        property HowManyTimes : 0
        to sayHello to someone
set HowManyTimes to HowManyTimes + 1
            return "Hello " & someone
        end sayHello
    end script

    From the Applescript Language Guide:
    Handler Syntax (Positional Parameters)
A handler is a collection of statements that can be invoked by name. This section describes the syntax for handlers that use positional parameters.
    Syntax
    on | to handlerName ( [ userParamName [, userParamName ]...] ) [ statement ]...
    end [ handlerName ]
    Handler Syntax (Labeled Parameters)
A handler is a collection of statements that can be invoked by name. This section describes the syntax for handlers that use labeled parameters.
Labeled parameters are identified by their labels and can be listed in any order.
    Syntax
    ( on | to ) handlerName ¬
    [ [ of | in ] directParamName ] ¬
    [ ASLabel userParamName ]... ¬
    [ given userLabel:userParamName [, userLabel:userParamName ]...]
    [ statement ]... end [ handlerName ]
Note the points I've highlighted in red.  You younguns probably don't know, but there's this pre-search tool called an "index" (pronounced ˈinˌdeks) In which one can find "page numbers" (those are kind of like links, though not as precise and requiring more physical action than a single mouse-click to follow). If you look up 'on handler parameter label' in the "index" and scroll backwards until that weird number they put at the bottom of every page matches the number given, you'll be amazed.
Hard to believe that the ancients could do something that sophisitcated, I know.  I mean seriously, these are people who painted symbols on sheets made out of pulped wood and wrapped them in animal hides for protection.  But there you have it.

  • Totally confused about mixing videos with different field orders.

I have PPcs5 on the pc.
I edit for many different shooters. As such I get everything: Progressive, upper field , lower field . Not to mention from a zillion different cameras & different resolutions.
I output 95% so far to dvd ntsc, 5% BR.
I get dv tapes on some & HD files also. Many times I get a mixure of both on each job. Also Iphone HD files too. Going crazy trying to fiquer out how to set up my sequence when I have upper field  or progressive by themselves & also when they are mixed with lower field dv foot...Do I force everything into a lower field seq if going to dvd?
Do I have to deinterlace anything?
If I drag a clip to the new "create seq" icon, it will match the clips properties but is that correct if its a progressive only project or an Upper field project going out to dvd ntsc?
Do I need to RT click on the clips in the project window & "interpet Footage" & force it into a lower field there 1st? Is there a difference between setting up a seq to be played on a progressive DVD player hdmi to a prog TV as apposed to setting up a seq for a non hdmi or non progressive tv?
Does outputting to dvd automatically force it to lower field ?
If my seq isnt set up correctly I notice a big interlace problem when the cams pan from side to side, especially when there are multiple cams with different field orders. Have been unable to find any good discussions or articles on the topic.
How do you guys do it without going crazzzzzzzy? Are there rules? What are the rules? A rule book would really help:-)  I Yern for the old DVCAM/DV days:-)

DV is always lower and HD is upper or progressive.
As you are having all fields in one timeline i would make it progressive.
Premiere does a good job in deinterlacing.
Only use Interprete footage when the footage is interprete wrong.
Set up a progressive timeline and drop everything in it. If a clip does not behave correctly you can change fields in the Field Options.
Export from Premiere and import into Encore. That is what i would do......

  • Totally confused about setting up printer

I am using an iMac G5 running OS X 10.3.9. I have an Airport Extreme base station and an HP Officejet 7210 All-in-One (printer/scanner/fax/copier). I somehow managed to get the Airport Extreme network up and running successfully. The iMac G5 is connected to the base station directly via the LAN port (since the iMac is not wireless) and the base station is connected to a cable modem via the WAN port. The network is being shared by a Windows based computer with a Linksys wi-fi card, and is working fine.
My printer is ethernet network-enabled (or so the store told me), but since there is only one LAN port on the base station, I am guessing that my only options are to either connect the printer to the USB port on the base station, to connect it to a USB port directly on the iMac, or to buy some kind of hub thingy that would let me connect more than one device to the LAN port on my base station. Is that right?
First, I tried to connect the printer to the USB port on the base station, but when I did this I was unable to even run the printer set up utility for the iMac because it couldn't find the printer (even though it shows up on the Airport Admin Utility when I go to Configure / USB Printer).
So then I connected the printer directly to the iMac and ran the printer set up utility, and once the utility had been run and the drivers installed, changed it back so that the printer was again connected to the base station. But once I did this, my computer was again unable to find the printer.
So what do I do now? If I have more than one option for setting up this network and connecting the printer, please let me know the pros and cons of each.
    Thanks.

I have a similar setup. G4 connected to the Lan port and cable modem connected to the WAN port of the AP Extreme base station. Dell lap top with a DLink PCMCIA card.
The ethernet port on my printer required a card in the printer - expensive. I found the USB route worked fine.
Setup: You are looking for USB > HP in the pull down menu. A bonjour driver should appear. You do lose the abiltity to activate the printer utilites however.
Oh yest try turning the printer on and off to register the USB cable with the base station.
Because you have installed drivers via a direct connection already you may end up with two drivers in the printer list after searching. Check the get info to confirm the Bonjour driver which you want to keep and use.
I found Bonjour for Windows was a great utility for the Wirelss PC client. Only run Bonjour for Windows after setting up your printer to run via the base station /USB connection.

Nevermind - I answered my own question, which is I CAN"T READ ANY BOOKS I purchased in iBooks on my MacBook Pro.  If I want to read on my mac I have to use Kindle or Nook.  Which means any book I've already purchased through iBooks has to be read on my iPad.  Kind of a drag because there are times when it's more convenient for me to read while I'm sitting with my Mac.

I'm not sure if I am writing this in the correct area (this is my second attempt at posting a question), but I have a comment about a recent store experience in Sandusky, OH.  I am not a current Verizon customer, but I was visiting friends and we had to go to the store to get something taken care of.  First off, allow me to compliment the nice, new store.  Boy, its changed over the past few years ago when I was in last. My comment is mostly directed to one specific employee.  When we entered the store, we were "welcomed" by a sloppy dressed gentlemen (his clothes were probably two sizes two small), which really struck me as unusual because every other employee in the store was dressed really "casual" with nice sporty clothing and red shoes.  Either way, after being entered into the computer, the gentlemen told me to wander around or have a seat in the back and someone would be with us soon.  As soon as we walked away from the door, the gentlemen handed his "duty" off to another employee who took over welcoming people coming in.  For whatever reason, I felt glued to him as he stood out to me.  After leaving the door, he immediately went to the back of the room, hunched over a cabinet, where he stood for the next 30+ minutes playing on his phone, frowning and not speaking to anyone around him.  Again, I found this unusual because everyone else was overly friendly and smiling.  I finally decided to walk by and see what he was doing.  It appeared that he was texting someone.  He paid no attention to me whatsoever as I walked by, just continued to frown and text on his phone.  I did take not of his name tag for future reference.  His name was Justin.  I am assuming he's the manager of the location as he was just standing around while everyone else worked.  I do understand that managers aren't necessarily doing the "dirty work" of the employees, but he could have at least found some better fitting clothing (I find it hard to believe Verizon doesn't supply it), been a little friendly, pretended to be busy, and not been texting the entire time we were there.  Again, the store was great, the other employees were very helpful, but the manager seemed to be doing is own little thing and it didn't put off a good image for the rest of the store.  Just wanted to share my comments.

  • ISight System Requirements (dumb question, but I'm confused)

Sorry to ask such a purchase-related question, but I'm entirely confused as to whether I can use iSight with my G4 Cube.
I'm running OS 10.4.3 and have iChat AV installed, but my processor speed is only 500 MHz.
The information on the actual iSight package is unclear. So, after I was disuaded from buying one at a retail store, I checked the site store. There, the system requirements read:
"Macintosh computer with a 600MHz or faster PowerPC G3 or any PowerPC G4 or G5 processor."
I understand this to mean that, for people with G3 PowerPCs, their processor speed must be at least 600 MHz. But any G4 or G5 processor should be adequate.
However, when I called Apple Customer Service, the representative insisted that this means, no matter what processor you have, its speed must be at least 600 MHz.
    Can someone enlighten me?
    G4 Cube   Mac OS X (10.4.3)   500 MHz processor
    G4 Cube   Mac OS X (10.4.3)   500 MHz processor

Hello Jason. Different software applications that drive iSight can have different System Requirements.
There are a lot of choices of Applications You Can Use With iSight. Select the app that performs the function you want and then check its system requirements. Different applications have their own (and possibly different) requirements, so check carefully when considering other software.
The 600 MHZ requirement is the G3 processor speed minimum System Requirements for iChat AV 2.1. This particular 600 MHz speed requirement applies only to G3 Macs using iChat AV 2.1. ANY G4, including your Cube, can use iSight with iChat AV 2.1.
However, you are using iChat AV 3. Some of the System Requirements for iChat AV 3 are significantly higher than for version 2.1, but your G4 can still use iSight for one-to one iChat AV 3 video without PowerBoost.

I Recently changed the password for mail, on iMac. I can still read my mail, but the drop down keeps appearing, asking for my password, then telling me it's incorrect. Totally confused.

If your password is accepted, and Mail connects to the account, but you're prompted for the password repeatedly, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Note: these steps don't apply if the server rejects the password. That's a different problem.
    Step 1
When prompted for the password, check the box marked Remember this password in my keychain.
    Step 2
Check that the keychain is working.
    Step 3
Check that the default keychain is unlocked.

I am so confused about iCloud.  My husband says he never set it up but all is information is on both his iPad and iPhone.  How can that be and do I have to have iTunes Match?

"All his information" may or may not include things customarily stored in iCloud.  Perhaps all the information is on both devices because they were both recently synced using the same iTunes sync.
Do you have to have iTunes Match?  No.  Many folks do not have iTunes Match.  The music purchased from iTunes is always available to the purchaser.  Other music is stored in iTunes on the person's computer.

Just bought a Nikon d750 and confused about adobe LR4 and PS6 support for the RAW files. I have DNG 8.7 but wondering if LR and PS will import direct soon Thanks for any advice

Support for the Nikon D750 was introduced in the latest version of LR 5.7 and ACR 8.7 on Novemder 18th 2014.
Further updates to LR 4 were stopped when LR 5 was released on June 9th 2013. No further updates for bug fixes and new camera support.
Nada, LR 4 will never support Nikon D750. The Nikon D750 was introduced into the market in September 2014 some 15 months after further development of LR 4 was discontinued.
You can use the Adobe DNG program (free download for the package) to convert the Nef (raw) files from your Nikon D750 to the Adobe DNG format which will permit you to import those into LR 4. This is the crutch provided by Adobe to allow for the processing of raw files with outdated versions of LR and ACR.
You can also update the ACR plugin for PS CS6 to version 8.7 which can also work with the raw files from the D750. For direct support in Lightroom you will need to upgrade (paid) to version 5.7.

Depends on the type of Message.
SMS messages will send and receive with data off.  and while you can guarantee you send using SMS you cannot guarantee that whoever replies to you does also. They may be replying thorugh iMessage if they are using iPhones.
However Android should be sending through SMS.
You can turn off iMessage if you want to, though people with limtied SMS text messaging in their plans may not appreciate it, and stop messaging you.
