Frequently generating the core files /var/core in 11.5.10

Hi,
We have recently moved our production server from NETAPPS to EMC storage . After this we checked that lot of core files are generating by different modules like GL,AP etc...
If someone has encountered the same issue, please let us know the reason.

Dynamically generating the jnlp file

Hi Experts,
Im working on a project in which we launch the Eclipse RCP from the web UI (thin client).
I want to dynamically generate the jnlp file cause I want to pass the session of the user from the web client to RCP.
So for this i have thought of having a variable let say sessionID ,which will take value of the session
sum thing like this...

<property name="sessionID" value="$$userSessionId"/>
</application-desc>
But im not able to figure out how i will populate the sessionID variable.
which class should be responsible for doing this?
whether that class will be in the RCP code or in the Web code...i guess it is in the web code?
Please if u can clarify these doubts then it will be great.

usually you would use jsp or a servlet to generate the jnlp file.
If you extend the JnlpDownloadServlet (found in the sample directory in the JDK) you can generate the session id.

Hello.
I'm having the same problem. It appeared after I made use of many cells (a table of 10x200 cells) with formulas inside them.
Before that, while I was making my tests and only used a few cells and the .XLF file was 4Mb, I had no problem. Now that the .XLF file is 8Mb I see this error appearing (in Spanish):
"Error
Desbordamiento de la función SWF. El archivo SWF generado no funcionará correctamente ya que las dependencias de datos superan los límites de SWF."
Any idea of how this could be resolved (appart from using less data)?

MDIS failed to generate the Log file!!!

Having a issue where MDIS is not generating the log file..
The scenario is something like this-
The files are getting archived and the records not flowing into MDM
Basis team says-
2014-06-30T14:11:33.339,47083231971072,24,"[MDS=sapdpm1 Repository=REAL_ESTATE ClientSystem=MDM_REAL_ESTATE Port=Building]: Nigerian Building updates part 2 - SLKDDY.txt is empty, the file will be skipped
But the source file was having data it was not empty(bit strange!!)
Also its not generating the LOG to analyze

Let me explain the scenario--
User uploads the file through Portal and through FTP records resides in MDM...the issues is when i tried to import through IM it worked and i tried manually push file through Filezilla FTP it worked.
But when we upload file through portal, the file resides in Archive and generating the message-

I need to generate the excel file with diffrent sheets . Currently I am generating the data in three diffrent excel files using

I am afraid not.ATR are attributes files contains the object's full name, access controllist (ACL), description, and so on.Each catalog object has a corresponding attributes file, I am not sure why do you have to generate the atr files.In case you need info about atr files: http://businessdecisionsystems.com/blog/?p=7
If you have huge number of similar reports(with filter variations and same kind of layout), try to play around with the xml to minimize the development effort.

How do we recomple IEX and AST products via sysadmin to generate the required files as the user is getting the error:

Could not generate the flash file(SWF)

Hi all,
I am working with a Dashboard having a GMap plugin and it was working fine on BO server.
But now the plugin has been changed from GMap to CMaps plugin. I am able to download the same dashboard from BO Server to my desktop.
The snapshot of the warning I get while downloading the dashboard has been attached.
When downloaded from server, in place of displaying map on GMap plugin I get a warning "Invalid request this request is invalid" but when i open its properties the warning goes and the map appears back.
Then I tried to upload the same dashboard on BO Server and I get an error "Could not generate the flash file(SWF)...". The snapshot of the same has been attached.
I am unable to do any modification on this Dashboard.

You can export the dashboard to BO Server in SWF format.But how can you download the physical dashboard file from BO server.Is it possible?
Do the changes in .xlf physical file and export the .xlf file to BO server as File-->Save to platform.

When you can wait for completion, then that's the easiest route.
When you can't wait, you'll have to use a different method. I suggest to watch the v$ views for what your session is doing. Views like v$session, v$session_wait, v$sess_io and the views starting with v$sql. Also worth mentioning is Tanel Poder's site, which contains some very useful scripts for diagnosing performance problems this way: http://tech.e2sn.com/.

Edit the database that RH10 uses to generate the CPD file

Is it possible to edit the database that RH10 uses to generate the CPD file? I've got one weird entry in the topics list in the Project Manager pod. I've deleted the CPD file and let RH10 rebuild it but the entry is still there. My team leader would like me to get rid of the entry before we send the project to translation. Thanks.

Dang, I saw that same problem occur with a project I was trying to fix but eventually I had to start over on a fresh copy of the broken project and did not create the problem again.
If you are using an agency that translates and uses RoboHelp, the last thing I would have done is delete the snippet. They would have translated that once instead of everywhere it is used thus keeping costs down. That is an aside though.
Do you have a backup of the project so that you can recreate the Snippet in the hope that the project is good with that in and you can then delete again to check you used the right option?

Load of hierarchies from R/3 via flat file: how to generate the flat file?

I need to build a custom extractor for a hierarchy. The hierarchy exists in R/3, but there's no standard datasource to extract it. I know I can upload it via flat file, but I have a question related to this.
Does anyone know if there's a program (standard or custom by SAP) or function module in R/3 which allows me to generate that flat file, with the required format by BW?
I would appreciate very much any help about this topic

In CO-PA there is a way to generate Hierarchy Extractors (see Note 422175 for more details). With a Custom Program you generate a specific DataSource.

Illustrator CS4 - frequently generates corrupt EPS files that will not parse

I have used many versions of Illustrator prior to and including the CS lines. I am currently running CS4 and this is the first time I have experienced this issue. Approximately half of my EPS formatted illustrator files will not parse. I use Quark Xpress 7 for my layout (never liked any of the Indesign programs). If I try to generate a PDF with my CS4 generated EPS files placed at least 60% of the time the placed file will corrupt the PDF export resulting in no PDF being generated.
Further to this PDF export issue, if I attempt to parse the same EPS file into Photoshop, Photoshop will give me the error message "Could not complete your request because Photoshop was unable to parse the PostScript" and it will abort the attempt to open the file.
Anyone else having Illustrator EPS file issues?
Background info (if needed) Dual 2.0 Ghz, PowerMac G5, 8 gb RAM, running Tiger 10.4.11
I have attached a sample Illustrator file that will not Parse. It will open in Illustrator but not parse into Photoshop or if placed in Quark will not parse and allow for a PDF to be exported.

I understand that I can drag and drop between programs. Ultimately, when attempting to parse an EPS in photoshop I am merely doing it to confirm that the EPS is indeed corrupt.
As mentioned previously, I predominately use Quark Xpress for my page layout program and until I installed CS4 I have had zero complications with using EPS files. Now I quite commonly can not export PDFs due to corrupt EPS files.
My question to the public is I am alone in this glitch or do others experience the same issue. My first thoughts are that CS4 has a glitch and I should be expecting an update in the near future. But, if I am the only person suffering from this issue than maybe I should be looking at my own software.

I assume you are talking about exporting gerber files and NC drill files. Go to File >> Export and you can select one of the options...
a) Select one of the Gerber RS274 options, then click Properties, here you can select which layer you want to export. Based on your comments, you are looking for probably Copper Top, Copper Bottom... but maybe you may want to export also the Board Outline, Silkscreen Top and Bottom, etc. It will depend on your board manufacturer which files they need. On you have configured which layers to export, then click OK and you are back to the Export dialog, now click the Export button and it will start exporting.
b) For the .drl and .rep files, in the same Export dialog, select NC Drill, you can then select Properties to configure it, or Export to create the files.

i was executing the following code block from Unix Shell Script. The following code was generating the file count_curdate.txt with all require infomrations. The query gives number of records , group by partition_dt
