Frequently my mac book pro freezes. how to troubleshoot this issue.

for the temperature, you can try resetting your MacBook Pro’s System Management Controller.
If you boot your MacBook Pro into Safe mode, does it still freeze up in the same way then?

I have been using my MBP for a little less than half a year now, working just fine.
Lately though, It freezes (mouse and keyboard) when running/starting with battery in (AC or not). restarting doesn't help and i have tried to hold the start button during start, some times that would work. But the last few times it didn't help either.
No programmes are affected (keep running, iTunes etc.) during keybord-mouse-freeze.
If take the battery out and starts with AC only, works like nothing ever happend, But if i put it back in after startup, freezes again. hadwaretest says nothing is wrong. Please notice that this is the old Mac book pro.
How do i fix this problem, and what is it. Anybody knows ? ..."...I have not yet opend (ecept the battery out) the computer physicaly, so... "
I would get it to an Apple store or authorized Apple repair center. You are still covered by the 1 year warranty. Consider purchasing AppleCare to extend that an additional 2 years. -

Entourage is a third party app so stop down to the Microsoft support forums. In any case I would suspect in its preferences there would be a selection as to when (parameters) incoming mail should be deleted from the server.

Personally I would double these amounts and add to that the diskspace needed for your Windows games.

You may want to use the Migration Assistant, which appears the first time you start up the new machine during setup, and also is available later (it is found in /Applications/Utilities.) Note that if you are running 10.4.x on the old MacBook both machines need to use FireWire to do this, but the late 2006 MacBook has that. You will need a special 4 pin to 6 pin FireWire adapter cable, as the FireWire ports on the newest MacBook Pros are different.

Did you try:
Install or Reinstall Mavericks or Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
OS X Mavericks- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Erase and reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.
If you don't have the original discs that came with the computer, then you can install the retail version of Snow Leopard:

After migrating a new Mac Book Pro from Time Capsule, I noticed that I lost a group of Favorites on the older iMac. The puzzling thing is that the Favorites are on my iPhone--not the old iMac or the new Mac Book Pro. How do I get the Favorites back?
If you are syncing using iCloud, try going to System Preferences/iCloud (computers) and checking Safari. If it is checked, try deselecting it, wait 10-15 seconds, and then check it again.

ThanksConnect your iPod to your computer and a dialogue box should come up asking if you want to transfer your purchases. If a box doesn't come up, click the iPod in the iTunes sidebar and there should be a button somewhere on the summary page to transfer purchases.
If you're in the US, you can also redownload your music buy logging into the iTunes store in iTunes, and clicking "purchased" on the right hand side of the store. -
Each time I open FCPX my mac book pro freeze and I get a blue screen and my mac book is completely frozen...
Have you removed those plugins ? They could be in your Movie folder or Library - application support - FCP- plugins - effects

My iPad 2 only keeps a set number of emails for me to view eventually deleting from the screen. How do stop this as it syncs with my phone and mac book pro neither of which do this?
Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

I had the same after updating fronm 10.7.1 to 10.7.2 tonight. Not even a re-install of the OS X 10.7 and Combo update to 10.7.2 helped. I think this time Apple messed up big time with the 10.7.2 update and some Mac Books (my case: MacBook 15" Mid 2009 = MacBookPro5,3)
