Fresh install stuck on internet recovery screen
Wiped main drive and secondary drive clean for new user and fresh osx install. Went back to main screen to start osx install and now it says error temporarily unavailable So I shut down and now can't get past internet recovery screen and it won't recognize our wifi . What do I do to get the fresh install completed for the new user? The computer is a 2010 MacBook Pro. I have read that maybe there is no recovery partition available since the drives were all cleared and I didn't realize I needed to leave anything on the discs.
i do have another mac that already has mavericks but would the usb method work to get past the internet recovery screen?
also, how do I know if I did the data wipe and reinstall correctly?
Did you boot using command - R (Recovery Volume) or command - option/alt -R (Internet Recovery)?
Did you do the update to allow Internet Recovery?

Can't install Lion via internet recovery on a 13-inch Mid 2012 MacBook Air
Hi,
I've erased my hard disk via Disk utility via Internet Recovery mode and tried to install back Lion. However, it's not going through the installation process. Below is the log of the installation process.

IMac, Fresh Install Of Lion via Recovery HD
Hi,
A few weeks ago my iMac had a serious bug with iMovie. So now I want to prefrom a fresh install of Lion. I have already backed up my data and know how to get to recovery.
But I don't know which drive to erase.
Do I erase The "500.11 GB ST3500418ASQ Media" or the one below it "Macintosh HD"????Hi,
Macintosh HD is normally it, (the Boot Drive), & quite sure it is for you.
Are you sure you need to erase it though? -
Install Mavericks from Internet Recovery
Hi there hope somebody can help me,
I am trying to install OS X Mavericks on my MacBook Pro 2010 model using the internet recovery as i have no OS installed and no Recovery partition.
When i try to install Mavericks im asked to login with my apple ID, however i have not activated Mavericks on my account so cannot proceed.
I dont have access to any other mac to activate the download on my account and my nearest apple store is over a 1 hour drive.
Please can someone with a Mac create a new apple ID for me and activate Mavericks on it using the mac app store so that i can proceed?
Thanks
JacobThat is completely false information. The OP has a 2010 Mac notebook that came with Snow Leopard. Even if he can access the Online Internet Recovery system from that 2010 model (Some can and Some Can NOT) he still would not be able to install any of the Downloaed Only version of OS X (Lion, Mt Lion or Mavericks)
He needs the Original System Reinstall DVD disc Set that came with his system or a Replacement set of them.
Dr.Mac. wrote:
Your computer can use Internet recovery to install the factory's initial OS X which is Lion 10.7
To use the OS X Internet Recovery feature after applying a firmware update. Download and install an updated EFI Firmware ROM for these computers to use the OS X Internet Recovery feature: MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 2.6 Download
This update enables Lion Recovery from an Internet connection on MacBook Pro (Mid 2010) models. After you install Lion you can download the new OS X Mavericks. There is free upgrade option in the Mac App store. -
Network Install stuck at apple gray screen
Hi,
I set up 1 IMac and make a network install image of it by booting the IMac as target mode, then run system image utility to create the network install.
Then i turn on netboot and i tried to boot the other IMac that connected to the network via netboot so it'll be installed and configured as the initial IMac. However it stuck at the grey screen for 30 minutes.
Am I doing something wrong?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,

After 10.5.2 install stuck at the login screen. Help please!
Hi all,
After installing 10.5.2 my computer rebooted to the login screen, but no matter what account I select (I have 3) it goes to a blue screen for a few seconds and then right back to the login screen. I've tried booting in safe mode and also resetting the PRAM. I've been reading this forum, but don't seem to see anyone else having this same exact problems.
Any suggestions?I have had problems after the 10.5.2 update. I ended up with a frozen computer - unable to restart or shut down etc. Also ended up at one stage with Set Up Assistant screen. With the help of a computer savvy friend, at least I am able to use my computer again.
It appears the actual download did happen but it did not install and the computer tells me I need to "re-start". When I did this, window appeared on plain blue screen saying it was installing software but absolutely nothing happened - no blue scrolling bar etc.
My iMac computer is still under Apple Care Plan and technician told me they are many problems surfacing across the various machines with this upgrade. He has asked me to delay updating the software and to ring back in a couple of days because their technicians are currently working on the problem and he hopes for an answer soon. -
IOS 7.1: Recovery Screen Stuck
So today I decided to install iOS 7.1 using Software Update on my iPhone 5.
I just put my iPhone down for an hour or so and when I came back my iPhone was stuck on the Recovery Screen.
I tried to get out of Recovery Mode but I just couldn't find a way to fix it.
I haven't backed up my data in like a year and I really can't afford to lose the data on my mobile for important reasons.
Is there a way I can back up my data or get out of Recovery Mode?
Thanks in Advance, Arthur.Hi, same problem here.
if you have iCloud backup activated, there is a chance that you can recover your iPhone to a recent state.

If you have another iOS device under the same iCloud account, you can check the backup status of all your devices at Settings-iCloud-backups -
IPod stuck on recovery screen?
I tried recovering my iPod and I ended up with an error. My iPod is nw stuck on the recovery screen and im panicking. My home button work so the traditional method doesn't work. I am using a 4g on 6.1.6. It won't show up on iTunes either and its on the latest version, too. Should I just wait for the battery to die or what?
Configure your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006, 9807, 9844. Sometimes as a result of this issue, a device might stop responding during the restore process.
Check your security software and settings, which can block ports and prevent connection to Apple servers during update and restore. -
I replaced my hard drive due to my old one failing.
When I use Internet Recovery, it gives me the option to reinstall Mavericks. Then an error occurs when it tries to verify, and asks me to try again.
Are my options just to reinstall from a CD?Do you have your original installation disc(s)? If so, I would boot from Disc 1 (the bootable installation disc), format the drive using Disk Utility (Mac OS Extended (Journaled) with a single GUID partition) and install the OS that came with your machine.
This may sound like a silly question, but have you formatted the hard drive with Disk Utility before you've tried to install Mavericks under Internet Recovery?

Macbook Pro stuck in restart loop with fresh install
Hello!
I have a Macbook Pro (Mid 2009) that I have been running Snow Leopard on up until now. I had been meaning to upgrade to Mavericks for a while, but had just never gotten around to it. Over the last month or so, my Macbook has been running really slow, hanging on the spinning beachball every few minutes for a few seconds (sometimes up to a minute or so). So I figured a clean start might be the best way to go, and while I'm at it, I might as well upgrade to Mavericks.
I backed up all my data, and then I created a Mountain Lion bootable usb (I had trouble making a Mavericks bootable usb from Snow Leopard, and since I had bought Mountain Lion for my desktop, I just decided to do a fresh install of that, and then upgrade to Mavericks). I had no problem booting to the usb, erased my hard drive and did a fresh install of Mountain Lion. However, after the install on the usb, my mac restarted and got stuck in a restart loop. It will chime, show the apple logo and spinning gears for a few seconds, then the gears stop spinning, and then the mac immediately restarts (this time displaying a message saying the mac has recovered from a shutdown in a number of languages), and the same thing happens again.
I was able to boot into the recovery partition, checked the permissions, found some that needed to be fixed, ran the repair permissions, verified the disk and was told the disk appears okay. Tried to then restart and same thing.
I have reset SMC, NVRAM, and none of these change anything. I booted in single user mode and ran fsck -fy, and recieved a message saying modifications were made, rebooted, same thing.
I have booted in verbose mode and the system restarts at the same point every time, right after displaying a message that says
SMC::smcReadKeyAction Error: (and then something with "BEMB", it goes by really fast so its hard to read exactly)
I have managed to boot into safe mode, but this has not made a difference. On one of my boots into safe mode, I went ahead and made a Mavericks bootable usb, and restarted the process: wiped the drive, installed mavericks, but I am in the exact same situation. I can still boot into safe mode.
I have seen some other issues that people have posted, but most involve the system freezing after the apple screen (not restarting) or do not involve freshly formatted HDs.
I'm just tying to find out if this is a hard drive issue, or if my mac itself needs to be retired. It has had a pretty long life (being 5 years old), and one of the RAM bays doesn't work (it is only running 4GB of ram, not sure if that can cause a problem with the boot cycle).
Sorry if thats a lot of information, I've been trouble shooting this for a few days. But thanks for any help you can offer!
A strange note:
-when booting from the mavericks usb, I got stuck in the restart loop a couple of times. I managed to get past this by clicking the mousepad a few times right after the gears finished spinning. The mouse became visible, the apple screen shifted color a bit (went from a bluish gray tint to an orangish gray tint), the mouse became visible, and I got to the reinstall menu as normal. As far as I can tell the clicking may have been coincidental, but it was the only time I was able to boot the usb, and I wasn't going to risk restarting to test that, and then not be able to boot again.Hey, thank you for your reply! I didn't have everything backed up, but I have a lot of my important stuff saved, though, so that's somewhat of a relief..
As far as my hard drive is concerned, would I have to send it in somewhere to get it fixed or would I just have to get a brand new one? If so, how much? Sorry if I seem a bit amateur, but this computer is my first personal computer, and I'm really lost without it! -
Internet recovery gets stuck on the spinning globe with the progress bar below.
Hello Everybody!
I'm trying to fix the iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010) of my friend. He said it doesn't boot anymore and just gets stuck on the grey screen with the Apple logo and the spinning wheel below. So my first step was to go into the Startup Manager by pressing the Option key after the chime. There I was presented with the Macintosh HD and the Recovery HD. After selecting the Recovery HD to access the Disk Utilities I got stuck on the grey screen with the Apple logo and the spinning wheel again. So I guess the data on the drive is corrupted and might have to be replaced. But before I do that, I wanted to give the Internet Recovery a try. I connected the iMac to the internet using an ethernet cable and pressed Command + Option + R after the chime and the spinning globe appeared with the info: "starting recovery process from network. This may take a while". After a short time the sentences are replaced by a progress bar and a timer that is counting up. The progress bar then moved for a tiny little bit and then nothing happens anymore but the timer keeps counting up. I waited for quiet some time before I gave up. I did not get any errors so I can't provide any other useful information. Can anyone give my some advice? I read in other posts that the ISPs of specific countries block ports which are needed for the internet recovery. I'm in Thailand right now. Does anyone know if that might cause the problem?
Thank you for all your help!Neither we nor Apple support jailbroken iDevices.

Help unable to install OS X as hard drive not visible in internet recovery mode
Hi
I have a MacBook Pro
During use my screen froze and I had to force quit. Since then I have tried the following:
Turning on in safe mode
Internet recovery - no mac hd or partition recovery drive are visible in disk utility only OS X base system
Unable to install maverick as there's no disc visible to select
If I try to verify the start up disc is greyed out
Starting up with cmd r
Tried to reset PRAM
Start up disc does not display anything
ALL TO NO AVAIL, is the hard drive defunct or is there anything else I can try ?
Many thanks for your help
ElieSee this thread, this is 3rd regarding recovery/restore - as a starting point.
Obviously it is easier if you have a couple backups, a drive you can use, and don't mind erasing the internal drive.
It is a lot easier then. And it would be easier if you didn't have a notebook. This forum is not MacBook Pro but the tower or workstation.

Along with the above error it also says Access is denied
Im running the Exchange shell as admin
There were no errors during the install and I did everything according to the Exchange Server Deployment Assistant
At first when I attempted to log in it would say my credentials were incorrect
This is part of a active directory set up and I fulfilled all of the active directory piece.Hi,
According your post, I understand that open EMS with error “AccessDenied,PSSessionOpenFailed” after fresh install Exchange 2013.
If I misunderstand your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Please follow below steps for troubleshooting:
1. Reboot the server, usually fixes this error.
2. Make sure your authentication settings on your virtual directory for PowerShell is correct.
Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, <Servername>, Sites, Default Web Site, PowerShell and in the right panel, scroll down to the Authentication module, then make sure that Anonymous access is disabled and Windows Authentication is
enabled.
3. Double check the configuration of HTTP binding on Default Web Site in Internet Information Services (IIS).
4. Run Get-User Identity | FL *power* to check whether the current logged in user has remote powershell enabled.
If the issue persists, please try to remove the PowerShell virtual directory and renew for testing.
Additional, I find an similar thread about your question, for your reference:
